Wow, what a fantastic location and cosy cottage. The children were delighted to find the games room which meant a lovely relaxed holiday for the grown ups! James and Chippie were both so helpful and accommodating of our needs and Benbecula and North Uist were simply stunning.

Joan was super responsive. Although her instructions were limited to 2 pages, she answered any question I had within minutes. The area is lovely and she recommended The Brewery, which is a great restaurant with a wide selection of beers brewed on the premises. She also recommended a local weaver, which was a highlight of our stay. The house had what we needed. The heating boost was easy to use.

Een prachtige woning, schoon, smaakvol ingericht, alles is van hoge kwaliteit en mooi afgewerkt. Het huis is groter en nog beter dan op de foto's. De bedden en het beddengoed zijn uitzonderlijk. De omgeving is fantastisch, er zijn geen woorden voor. Maar de belangrijkste reden waarom dit verblijf 5 sterren waard is, zijn de hosts. Lieve, communicatieve mensen die geven om hun gasten en echt willen dat je een fijne tijd hebt. Ik zou deze plek aan iedereen aanraden en zou er dus zelf ook met plezier opnieuw verblijven.

A beautiful house that was a brilliant base for us as we did lots of sight seeing and walking/hiking. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Extra blankets for those colder nights. Easy parking for our two cars. The view from the living room was absolutely stunning and the stars on the less cloudy nights were spectacular. Definitely a great place to stay in Skye.

I felt right at home here, it was so warm, cosy and comfortable. It was in a good location to explore the island. the front garden was enclosed which was great as i had a dog. Hosts popped round to make sure all was well and gave us good information about the area, places to eat, and things to do etc. I would recommend this property to anyone holidaying on the island.

We arrived quite late and we couldn't see our surroundings on our drive into Carbost, but when we woke and looked out of the door, we were completely blown away!! Absolutely stunning!! Beautiful location, 5 mins from the Talisker Brewery, I highly recommend! Perfect location for those that enjoy walking and not far way from villages that have plenty of good food and shops. I did manage to misplace the accommodation key (I found it the next morning) and panic set in...we were locked out. However, after a quick call to David, he had us sorted and back in within 10 minutes! I would highly recommend the accommodation.and say thank you to the helpful host!! Skye is breathtaking and the flat is in prime location.

We spent 3 nights at This Must be the Place, Skye. Great location, good vibes, warm and comfortable. Lovely views out the back and a good outdoor space. We’ve always liked Carbost and the Old Inn - which was unfortunately still closed when we visited in early Feb. Very clean and generally in good condition. Good provision of all the basics: tea and coffee, washing up liquid, loo roll etc. A few more logs would have been nice (not for warmth, just nice to have a fire for the night) easy to buy more locally tho. I missed having a dishwasher and hand blender, but otherwise kitchen was well stocked. There were good quality games and books for adults and kids too.

Absolutely loved my stay. I did not want to leave as it had everything you could possibly want. Amanda provides a lot of extras which was appreciated. Very comfortable bed and the shower was amazing. Amanda had great recommendations for places to go which was very helpful. I would love to return.

Perfect cozy cottage with a beautiful view. Cottage was spacious with a well-appointed kitchen. When our afternoon plans got rained out, we came back to a warm fire and Netflix. . . amazing! It's a great location for exploring the Isle of Skye and all it has to offer. It was like a home away from home. Everything was perfect.

The Old Croft House is amazing and we loved our time there. It's very comfortbale and warm (we were there in deep winter). The views from the extension window are endless and every changing, meaning you could lie there for a week and not be bored! The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use. The whole house is spotless. The sauna is a treat. There are some great walks from the house - stunning cliffs, bring your head for heights. The Cuillins are a drive but so is everywhere from the top of Skye, you're not there for convenience but for 'getting away from it all', which the Old Croft House certainly delivers. We'll hopefully be back!

We had such a lovely stay at Easter Byre. The cottage was beautifully restored and furnished, and very cosy to be in, whilst still being spacious. We arrived quite late, in the dark and John and Jacqueline’s instructions made it easy to find. The fire was going and the cottage was warm and welcoming when we got there. They gave us privacy throughout the stay, but it was really nice to be able to meet them and chat with them on the farm, and learn about life on North Uist. Jacqueline bakes delicious sourdough bread, and delivered some to us every second morning - it was perfect for breakfast. They gave us great recommendations for walks and places to eat. The beaches nearby them are beautiful and lovely to walk - we were very lucky with some sunny days. I can’t recommend this place highly enough - it was the highlight of our Scottish holiday 😊.

This cottage is a wonderful getaway. It is in a peaceful and quiet area by the water but close enough to Castlebay for restaurants etc. We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and felt right at home. The host was lovely enough to decorate with balloons and “just married” signs, such a nice welcome! Everything was spotless and well stocked. Very comfortable, would definitely stay again :)

Great little house in an absolutely gorgeous location—the perfect base for exploring Uist. Rhonda was an excellent host, regularly contacting us with any updates and ensuring that we had everything we needed. Hope to be back soon!

Super réservation lors de notre séjour, la vue sur le lac est incroyable pour un beau coucher de soleil! Accueil au top, pas beaucoup de restaurant à proximité, le site propose une cuisine commune, si un jour j’ai l’occasion de revenir je prévoirais de quoi cuisiner sur place. En tout cas très belle escapade, nous avons très bien dormi et la petite cabane était très propre ! Je recommande sans hésitation ce lieu si paisible!

Magical! That’s the only truthful way of describing this place. It is extraordinarily beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. You’ll have world wonders at your door step, but you might just want to stay and enjoy the place given how magical it feels. If that was not good enough, Kathryn and Angus are the most lovely and generous host you can ever get, making you feel right at home in their beautiful forest. I’ll be coming back as long as I can!!!

Paul’s place is perfectly located between North Uist and Vatersay which makes exploring the entire area very easy. Paul is welcoming, kind and has a great place for you to rest between days of exploration.

One of the best places we’ve ever stayed at! The local neighborhood of Geary is beautiful and serene. The views from the bedroom and hot tub are stunning. The kitchen is super well-stocked. Michelle was very responsive and an amazing host! Would love to go back!

The assistance from Deenie from booking to the day we left was 1st class, our family went over the new year period & it was just perfect start to finish. Really peaceful with incredible views of the surrounding areas. I would highly recommend this place. Northern lights shone over the property on New Year’s Day (perfect) was added bonus we didn’t expect. We will be back 100%, already thinking about our next visit.

What an amazing place! This was perfect for us and our two young children. After a day of travel, the hot tub was a welcomed way to relax. The kids loved it too; something they were looking forward to after sight seeing. The second night we experienced a typical Scottish weather day, especially windy and wet, so the fireplace was in high demand. And the views just breathtaking. Although we didn’t have time to utilize, it was a surprise to have both washer and dryer available on site. Everything you need to enjoy your remote getaway. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time at the cottage over the New Year. If anything the pictures don't do the place justice, and the stay was more than we hoped it would be. The cottage was easily accessible from the ferry when we arrived into Tarbert late at night, remote enough to feel away from it all, and still well located to enjoy the surrounds of Harris and Lewis. The fireplace and central heating ensured the cottage was warm and cozy even when the temperatures dropped below zero. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and had one unreal night with the Northern Lights putting on a display while we watched in awe for almost an hour. We had some decent snows at the tail end of our stay but the roads were kept clear and unfortunately we had to leave instead of being snowed in. Just a heavenly place. Hope to come back one day soon!

Beautiful tucked away cabin. If you want peace and tranquility, this is the place for you. Highly recommend hiring a car so you can get food shopping and also to get to start of walks. Views from the cabin and bird life are fantastic as is sunrise.
