My husband Laurence is from Barnsley so we're quite regular visitors to see family and he was familiar with the apartment's location as the old Barnsley Permanent Building Society - you could not be more central with a great view of the Town Hall. The building has been sensitively restored into a majestic apartment block and the flat itself is lovely: tastefully decorated, well equipped, spotlessly clean with a really comfy bed and great towels. You can tell that David has put a lot of care and attention in making a genuine home from home so its perfect if you're staying for a flying visit like we were or a longer stay. It's in staggering distance of all the bars and restaurants and we absolutely loved it! Will definitely stay again.

We couldn’t fault the stay at all, the place was absolutely spotless clean and tidy. Kay was super helpful and lovely. The bed was really comfortable and it was super spacious. We even got complementary milk juice and croissants Very happy. ! Thank you Kay x

The place was fantastic. Our group really enjoyed our time there. The apartment was quite large with lots of space and amenities. I would highly recommend this place for larger groups visiting to the Peaks.

This is now the third or fourth time I have stayed here. Great large open plan space. Beautiful and quiet. Just what was needed. I would definitely use this place again if needing to stay in the area. Highly recommended

Spent a long weekend walking in the Peak District with my daughter. Richard is an excellent host who responds quickly. The place is as described, clean, quiet and provides everything in terms of kitchen equipment to make our meals during the time we spent there. The property provides everything needed for a home from home stay. There is a large Tesco and CO-OP in Whaley Bridge. We enjoyed walking Stanage Edge, Jacobs Ladder & Kinder Scout. Bugsworth Basin also provided a lovely flat canal side walk on Monday before our return home. Recommend Bridge Bakery in Whaley Bridge for great selection of post walk cakes, and they also have a really good selection of breakfast in a box.

Karl met us at the flat and did a personal handover taking time to point out things we may find useful. It was just a few minutes walk to the pavilion gardens, eateries, pubs and shops and under 10 mins walk to the opera house theatre. We felt so at home here and loved the whole ambiance. We played dvds, board games and records all of which are available to use. Loved everything about it and would recommend to anybody.

Great stay in jazz’s really lovely air bnb in duffield !! Close to all amenities beautiful views, great location easy to get to restaurants and bars on your doorstep but really peaceful place to stay. Super clean, super tidy and well looked after apartment I would highly recommend this place for exploring derby and the surrounding areas!! 🙂🫶🏽

a lovely place to stay, perfect for 1 person (though would fit two people). the host very kindly messaged prior to mention they supplied milk, butter + bread, noticed I was vegan and provided alternatives! there was tea + coffee provided, plus lots of seasonings and condiments in the cupboards should you need. comfortable bed, clean + tidy space and perfect for a 3 day trip. would definitely recommend :)

Great value little apartment on the edge of the Peak District. Well-equipped kitchenette and powerful shower in the little bathroom. Tony was a really responsive host and left us milk and snacks for our arrival. Off-street parking and lovely local pub was a bonus.

it was a wonderful experience. The apartment was well maintained and had everything there for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The owner was very helpful with all the instructions too and checking in as well. The best part was that being right in the middle of city centre made it a perfection apartment to stay at with friends and family.

Garden Retreat is a lovely ground floor apartment with direct access to a lovely garden. The property was spotlessly clean with lots of additional touches such as phone chargers and torch. It was actually larger than I expected. It was comfortable with everything I could need and more. A large kitchen, comfortable lounge and quiet bedroom. The shower is blissful! Jonathan is lovely, welcoming but also respectful of privacy. There if needed. It’s about a 25 minute easy walk into Belper with its shops and eateries. Lots of great walks from the apartment and Belper. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit with my two dogs. I do hope I can visit again.

I stayed solo for a week on business, Beryl was great when I arrived, welcoming, quickly showing me round the space and what switches operate what etc. I had no issues during my stay but felt welcome to just ring the bell if I needed anything. Milk, butter, & crumpets were a nice surprise and sorted breakfast all week. There's a well stocked co-op at the end of the road, so I made use of the excellent air fryer in the evenings. I also discovered some beautiful canal, wetland and lake walks opposite the co-op and took advantage of the beautiful weather to explore them. I had everything I needed and even washed and dried my clothes before packing for home. It's a little dated and a little quirky, but I slept soundly, it was comfortable and the garden was beautiful to sit in. I'd definitely stay again.

Great place to stay, my wife and I loved it. Location is great for exploring the peake district and surrounding area. Such a comfortable bed and the shower room was fantastic. Parking outside is good and we were right outside the property. We ate below and the Steak and Stilton pie was truely amazing. Loved it Loved it Loved it.😀

John place was nice and clean. He is accommodating. we have requested for early check in and he has accepted it. Overall we have a very good experience with him and his place.

Had a really great stay here. Really lovely and modern space, completely separate from the main house so it really is your own little place, and easily walkable to the main areas of Buxton in about 10 minutes. Super recommend!

We had a fantastic stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very spacious. It has everything you need. We had a toddler and a baby and there was plenty of space for a travel cot in either bedroom. The location is perfect, a short walk to the centre of town but the property itself and particularly the garden feels very tranquil. Gareth and Charlotte were very responsive to messages and we saw them a few times during our stay when coming and going but not at all intrusive. Overall it was a great stay and we would absolutely stay again next time we come to Buxton. Thank you.

Conveniently situated near to High Street/shops/restaurants & well stocked with milk, water, tea & coffee. Comfy beds and a pretty quiet stay despite staying in Fri & Sat nights. It was a little complicated with the entrance/parking etc but we received clear instructions prior to visit.

The Devonshire Suite is a beautiful apartment right in the centre of Buxton. Lots of pubs and restaurants just a couple of mins away. We had lots of information from our hosts about different things to do which was really helpful. They offered us an early check in but unfortunately we couldn’t leave work early. The apartment had lots of special touches, which made for a lovely weekend. We would highly recommend staying here

We stayed at Angus’ place for a little getaway, and it was one of the best breaks we’ve had in a while. The apartment shone for its attention to detail and beautiful interiors, it was well equipped and felt like a home away from home. Angus was always easy to reach for any help needed and happily gave recommendations and helped me navigate things around my health condition. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks Angus 😊

A well appointed attractive modern apartment, centrally located with easy access to good restaurants & to the special places in this interesting architectural Spa town. The information booklets were very helpful for finding our way to the Peak District highlights.

Our stay was wonderful, our hosts were so welcoming and caring. They brought us toys and books for our young daughter and were a wealth of information about what to go for hikes, playgrounds, site seeing. The location is great and there is so much to do in the area. Would highly go to recommend.
