This was my first time using Airbnb and my experience could not have been better. I was checking in late evening but Sally didn't mind and met me with a warm smile and showed me to my room. I was also told where to find the Village shops and bar. The accommodation was superb, although the advert didn't say the kitchen was shared with 2 other bedrooms it wasn't a problem at all. The bedroom was very clean, very comfortable (comfiest bed I've ever slept in!) And well equipped. The bathroom was also clean and the shower was very good. There was tea, coffee and milk provided in the kitchen and crockery available, I had a take away in the evening. I would highly recommend this accommodation and thank you Sally.

Sophie is a great host, friendly and welcoming, and very responsive to any queries. The information book she provided in the flat was very helpful. It was a real pleasure to stay here. The flat was clean and comfortable with everything we needed, in a beautiful quiet setting. The patio was a lovely sun trap in the evenings for a drink with stunning views! The local village shop was well stocked with both essentials and a deli counter, and the butcher had a lovely bakery as well as a selection of homemade meals and the best steak we’ve ever had! We ate out one night at the local pub and had a really good meal. There also seems to be a really good bus service that runs regularly through the day if you needed it, but from here you are within easy reach of places to visit like Robin Hood’s bay, Whitby, the coast and the beautiful North York moors. We can highly recommend staying here and would definitely return.

Had a lovely stay, made to feel welcome by Pauline and Graham, the nicest couple you could ever meet. They thought of everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and even included lovely treats as a bonus. Fabulous surroundings with great safe enclosed paddock for our 2 collies to run around, truelly home from home, we will be back next year, already booked, Thankyou so much ☺️

We stayed at Hill View for 3 nights. Molly made us feel very welcome. It was a lovely, clean, warm and beautiful annexe, with amazing views and garden. Molly left a fabulous selction of cereals, milk, jam, tea, coffee and a lovely bloomer loaf for us. There was also a cupboard full of toiletries in the bathroom for our use if needed. We had an excellent stay. The cottage was clean and tidy and the fruit scones were a very nice touch. Michael was a very responsive host and the instructions he gave for how to arrive were very helpful. An excellent base to explore York from as it is only a few minutes drive from a park and ride site. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit York.

A lovely place to stay for for visiting York & the beautiful surrounding areas. The cottage is very well presented, clean & well stocked amidst beautiful quiet countryside. We had a lovely 2 night stay & look forward to returning in future.

Lovely little place for an overnight stay. Ideal location just outside of York. Train was just over £6 for an open return for two to York and the station was only a 5 minute walk away. Saved the hassle of city centre parking. Bed was really comfortable and the location was very peaceful. We both had a great nights sleep. Would definitely stay again on another trip to York. Bonus - McDonald’s is only a 3 minute drive away if you want an easy breakfast 😁

Lovely place lovely people Only negative I’d say was the privacy having only a door in the livingroom what separated us from the owners house but other than that it was amazing

Absolutely delightful little apartment to get away from it all. It’s got a lovely Victorian cottage / secret garden vibe. Absolutely spotless inside, perfect to get away and unwind. The inn at the top of the hill did the best pizza I’ve ever had too!

Amazing stay for our anniversary. Jo was super helpful and responded to every question really quickly. The pictures don’t really do the place justice. Beautiful grounds, super convenient spot, private parking and the flat itself was brilliant. Cosy, comfy, clean and had everything there for a hassle free stay. We will definitely be using again. We had a fantastic stay at Wistow. It was an ideal location for dog walks, being close to charming local villages and not far from York. Peter and Gill were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. We highly recommend a stay at Wistow.

Beautiful little compact living space, everything you need and close to all local amenities. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a little bit of peace, quiet and alone time ☺️

The Cow Shed is a great place to stay to discover North Yorkshire. Although attached to the owners house it’s extremely private with its own entrance. The views are spectacular and when we were there in late August lavender bushes were flowering all around the property. Lucy was a kind, communicative and attentive host and the information provided in the house about local walks, pubs, restaurants etc was extremely useful. We particularly enjoyed The Square and Compass pub nearby. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the four poster bed with views across the countryside and the pool table provided hours of entertainment!

Bridget is a fantastic host! Her place is like a little oasis home away from home with everything you need and more! The facilities were great, with a lovely open lounge, kitchen with everything you could need and a beautiful shower! The little touches like fresh flowers and treats really were an added bonus! Don't think about it and just book, you won't regret it!

100% would come again! Hosts were super friendly, happy to take the time to offer recommendations - even baked us some homemade banana bread for our arrival. We had an amazing time and the farmhouse had everything we needed and more. The sun shining through the patio doors, the morning birdsong and the kindness of the community. We planned on staying here 3 years ago but covid cancelled our stay, we’re so glad we re-booked! Thank you Andy, Crystal and family for your hospitality and kindness, we are very grateful and wish you all the best ❤️

lovely little place. Well kitted out all latest high tech mod cons! All was peaceful, quiet and private and suited me well for work in the area. Did not have opportunity to try the local pub - but hopefully next time. lovely friendly hosts too.

The Bolthole is a great place to stay in Ilkley. Jonathan’s place is 5-10 minutes walk from the centre leading to shops, bars, cafes & eateries (too many to choose from!). The studio is neat, super clean and has many quality touches. Easy to park on road opposite and we didn’t need to use the car on our short stay as everything within walking distance even the Moor. I would recommend the Bolthole for anyone wanting to explore Ilkley or needing to stay in the area.

Had another great stay at Clare's property, warm, cosy and very well equipped, Clare's always on hand for help and advice. It's very handy for visiting our family in Pocklington, 20mins in the car to North Cave nature reserve. The Plough at Allerthorpe has just reopened, just 200m away, serves great meals and beer, but suggest booking for meals.
