Andrew was a great host, very responsive and even pre-stocked the kitchen with milk shortly before we arrived. His place was lovely and cosy, and just a short walk from the convention centre. Everything was completely spotless. The only potential issue I could find was that the single bed seemed relatively short compared to other beds I've slept in so that might be problem for some people. Having said that, I'm very short, so that didn't bother me at all. Overall, my friend and I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this airbnb listing.

I can not recommend this wonderful holiday home enough. I don’t think I have ever stayed anywhere that has been as spotlessly clean. The house is beautifully and simply furnished, with everything you need for a few days away. The location was perfect and very quiet considering how closely located it is to the centre of York. Paul and Kerry were so helpful and responsive. Check in was really easy. 10/10 all round!

We loved our stay at Lancaster House. We went with the family for my mums 60th birthday and Zoe’s place was perfect for our needs. It was very clean, easy to find and had lots of character which, was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely stay again! 😊

location location location! perfect short walk to everything really! lovely quirky house extremely cosy spotlessly clean. The hosts were proactive and extremely thorough. it's a interesting house on different floors but we loved it ! we celebrated my wife's birthday 🎂 and it was perfect, went to embers for an awesome meal , highly recommended ( subzero cool ) . Thank you Caroline and Jon for being so welcoming and letting us stay at your lovely property. we would definitely stay again if we were in Scarborough. Myself and my friends very much appreciated our stay at Dave’s place in York. The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped so we were easily able to rustle up a chilli and rice. There was plenty of tea and coffee, kitchen roll, loo rolls the essentials for a Brit on her hols. We felt safe walking back from the city centre restaurants in the evening & the house was warm and cosy. We will definitely be meeting here again sometime in the future. Thanks Dave

Really nice place for 7 of us to get together for a reunion weekend. The house was comfortable with great decor and space to relax, plus room at the table for all of us. We found the heating a bit of a challenge and we were far too hot overnight (downstairs room, they struggled to adjust the radiator) but just turned it off completely on the second day. Lots of hot water and ample equipment, nice toiletries provided. It was inconvenient to have to meet beforehand to gain access, especially since there were roadworks nearby that caused a disproportionate delay to my arrival. Fortunately Beth's housekeeper was flexible around this, but, given that there is a key box, it seems an unnecessary complication. There was also a lot of "noise" before we arrived, in terms of instructions and rules for the property, none of which were onerous, just felt a bit unnecessary; but perhaps previous guests have been less than respectful in what is a lovely residential area.

Alweenas place is very homely and spacious. The location is so easy to get to the main street in Haworth and the station is even closer. We enjoyed every moment!

We thoroughly enjoyed our home away from home. The house is beautiful, cosy, and everything was spotless. It was great that the house had an allocated parking spot, which is a rare find in York. The beds were very comfy and the house was in a quiet location, yet only a few minutes walk into town. We were delighted that the host provided a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate New Year. Thank you - it was great.

Great spot for our family of 4, close to great bakery and restaurants and quiet. Easy free parking a plus. The flat is adorable with a lot of nice touches:)

I would definitely recommend this home to everyone. It had everything we needed, the kitchen was fully functional with all the right utensils. The lovely touch of prosecco and decorations for the new year eves was very thoughtful. The area is perfect for a little getaway, it was quiet and was a short walk into town. Everything was clean and it felt homey.

Lovely clean house with plenty of space and amenities. Beds comfy, bathrooms clean and kitchen modern and spacious. We had 4 children with us so having a bathroom next to the kitchen was a god send! Close enough to the town centre to walk- but quiet enough for the children. Great communication from Laura too. We would definitely book this again. 10/10.

We loved our stay at Sarah's place in York. It was very central, while still being in a calm area of the city right next to the city walls. Sarah gave us some excellent recommendations for restaurants and we particularly enjoyed our evening meal at skosh close by. The amenities in the flat were great, with comfy sofas and beds and a decent kitchen as well. There is also parking although we did not use this.

We had a great time in this property, Debra was a great communicator and the place was perfect for access to the multitude of pubs and restaurants. Parking in Whitby is limited, but with good advice from Debra we found it straightforward

Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Quiet neighbourhood and no more than a 20 minute walk into central York. House had everything we needed, and was lovely and warm. Would recommend it as a great base from which to explore York, and somewhere to get a very decent night's sleep.

Had a lovely stay - the place suited our needs perfectly. Very happy. Easy to find, good location and lovely inside. Renovation works that have been done to the property were well worth it. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved the cottage, it was exactly as described. Loved the little extras for our dog and the essentials for us, i.e. tea, coffee, sugar milk, biscuits and jams 😊. The location was brilliant too, very close to every you need and lovely walks from the doorstep. Thank you 🙏

We (group of 7 ladies) stayed here for a group catch up. The house was perfectly located with a short walk to the train station, and a short walk into town. Brilliant living spaces, well presented, clean and tidy. Lots of good bars and restaurants within easy reach.

Lovely 3 bed house with alot to do in the local area and the property was neat and tidy. Simon was also very helpful keeping us updated on changes that might have affected us. Would definitely recommend. thank you

We had a fantastic stay at York Townhouse. The house was spotless and very comfortable (including the beds!). Great central location - everything was on the doorstep. Clare was a pleasure to deal with - really responsive to messages and everything was clear upfront in terms of directions, how to collect the key, etc.. The little welcome gifts were appreciated too - especially the little hedgehog for my son! Thanks again, Clare!
