We had a wonderful stay. Absolutely loved the location, proximity to the beach and watching the train go by. Pool table was fun!

We had the absolute best time staying at Excelsior guest farm and made the most incredible memories as a group. The farm house has so much character, lots of chill spaces, big lounge and kitchen and a pool. There is so much to do on the farm itself from nearby walks to waterfalls, bouldering, a little lake to play and swim in, the coffee shop where you can buy a lot of the farms own produced goods and more! Rudi was an amazing host and always responded quickly to my questions pre and during our stay! We really felt so at home here and none of us wanted to leave.

What a fantastic place with great sea views. The apartment is located right across the harbour and main beach which makes it a very short walk to get your feet in the sand. There is a nice area to sit outside and look over the ocean while having a braai. Very nice rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Felt very safe as the place has an active alarm system as well. We really enjoyed our stay and had a great Christmas at the sea. Hihly recommended.

Perfect and beautiful spot for a stay over on route. The cottage is spotless clean and has welcoming sherry and everything you need to settle in. Both rooms are tastefully decorated with large en-suite bathrooms.

Like living in a beloved, well looked after home, not „just“ an Airbnb place. All rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is super well equipped. We loved the inside/outside kitchen/eating area as well as the braai and open fire pit. The master bedroom is huge and quiet, opening up towards the patio. The guest bedroom is at the street side, so for those who don’t stay in bed much, and rather enjoy the comfy living room to chill, the right choice. Everything was super clean - we can highly recommend this place!

This place is absolutely stunning! The house is beautiful and the surroundings are just breathtaking. The only slightly negative comment from us would be that the house makes lots of noise at night! But everything else was perfect, and a great bonus was that we were there on a weekend so we got to enjoy a tractor ride up to the rock paintings, and our son loved the slip n slide with all the kids who were camping.

We loved our stay as it was the perfect way to break our journey from the Orange River back to Cape Town. The house was perfect and the kids loved all the extras from being part of the Oukip Country lodge. We will come again and recommend to friends on route to Namibia or back

Mike's place is large and spacious. We arrived during a heatwave and Mike provided extra fans and fans in each bedroom. The safe parking was appreciated. The house was clean and comfortable. It's a short walk from pubs and places to eat. It was suitable for our one night stay.

What an amazing place to stay! Very beautiful and relaxed environment. Super private, well decorated and everything you would need to have a nice time. Simon is a wonderful host, very flexible with check-in and personally welcoming you when you arrive. Simon facilitated a morning hike and had great stories to tell, very much recommend doing this even if you’re not into hiking a lot - its worth it!

The perfect stop over for us and our kids on our drive back to Joburg. Cosy home with all we needed and lots of space and jungle gym for the kids to burn off energy. And getting to see the horses was a huge bonus! We will be back next time!

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. The accommodations are exactly what you expect, it’s in the middle of the Karoo. This isn’t a modern tech-fuelled getaway, this is a Karoo breakaway from everything that is loud and intrusive in our everyday lives. Chante is one of the best hosts I have encountered, she makes the best ‘plaaskos’, while being very humble about her skills, she is a true master chef. The food was incredible! Herself and her youngest son made us feel right at home. Horseback riding, sheep sheering, quad bike if you like. This is an absolute gem and we would go back for the hospitality alone. Make this a regular stopover on the way, you will not regret it!

Perfect location for a holiday with friends! We spent hours lazing on the porch, enjoying the peaceful scenery. The house is spacious and cool even in the summer heat, with a spacious kitchen for preparing big meals and a stunning patio and braai area for long lazy lunches.

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway! The place is extremely well stocked and had all the things to make it just about modern but also off the grid. Meeting Iziba really added to all the experience. The host, Damien and Lionel, were the nicest people and went above and beyond to make your stay excellent. As a note: Please be aware that the place is quite a bit away from the motorway and have offline maps downloaded if you are driving to the place.

I want to share my impressions of our weekend in a lovely house we rented with friends. The place was cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxation. The nature around was simply breathtaking: green forests and fresh air created a serene atmosphere. We enjoyed morning walks and evening gatherings on the terrace. Huge thanks to Jane for her hospitality and care. This weekend left us with only positive emotions, and we will definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was well equipped with everything we needed. Location was great - 6 min walk to the beach and shop. Will be back!

We have just spent the most wonderful time at Maudé’s beautiful home with our family, including two dogs. The location is perfect for playing with the grandsons - so quiet and safe too- and the back garden secure for the dogs. The accommodation is very well designed and had a perfect relaxed, homely feel. Restaurants are within easy reach and serve great food. We will certainly be back Angie (UK)

If tranquility was a place…… Our stay at House Kuru was exceptional. Comfy, clean beds and a clean unit, nature at your doorstep. The aircon was a life saver and the outside shower an absolute treat! The surroundings are breathtaking and the many hiking and swimming opportunities at your doorstep are amazing. Matthys is very responsive and his team is lovely. Receptionist was super friendly at check. There’s a little store with some goodies if you happen to forget something. We’ll definitely be back!

Unique location! We were welcomed with home-baked bread in a beautiful and clean house. Wonderful memories were made during our stay there!

Nelia's place is perfect, the host Landi is very responsive she welcomed us and was very almost immediately assisted us when we needed help at the house.

Such a lovely space. It has all the amenities needed. Many different space to relax. The access to the beach is really the best. Lots of get together to unwind places. We loved it! We felt at home and we can't wait to go back

We loved this house right on the beach. Very comfortable beds, beautifully clean linen and towels, and beach towels. Easy to use space, with lots of different areas for sitting and looking at the amazing view. Lovely walks along the beach and a very cold swim which was wonderful.
