great stay at John's!

This was our second time of staying in this BnB. The unit is decorated beautifully, beds are comfortable, very clean, the hosts are lovely and it’s close to the town centre.

Beautiful view, suitable location as a tourist, and excellent amenities!

We stayed for 2 nights whilst travelling down the coast. The property had everything we needed and more! We were most grateful for the washing machine after being on the road for a week before getting to Byron! Thank you! Tracey & Ady

Loved our stay. Very much like a cabin or cottage. Be aware that the bathroom is on the bottom floor and the suite is up a flight of stairs. It was a good thing unless you don’t like stairs. Hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. The listing needs to update the wifi instructions but they can be found in the suite. The place had everything we needed and more. Would go back for sure!

Beautiful location, everything is in walking distance, the beach is a block away, great stay!

From when we arrived, it was so peaceful, so many farm animals to enjoy horses, cows, sheep, goats, Guinea fowl etc. A well stocked pantry and fridge to make our stay easy. Fabulous veranda to sit out on for our meals to take in the view, so serene. So very clean with plenty of hot water, Large shower. Everything you need is there. Our host Juile was very friendly. Well situated to visit many areas in the Granite belt.

Pip and her husband were very friendly and met us on arrival, offered to help us with our luggage to the self contained beautiful, private accommodation at the rear of their property. All the little extras made such a difference, fresh sourdough, jam, butter, ground coffee and plunger, bowl of fruit and cookies, such hospitable hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and Pip and her husband were happy to give us local recommendations for the area and nearby places of interest. Such a beautiful garden and our dogs will be sad to leave, they have made themselves at home ! Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to be back another time when the weather is kinder and would not hesitate to recommend your beautiful accommodation to others. Best wishes, Jo and Vic 🙏

Even though it was a rainy weekend, it was cosy. The house is spacious, bed with ensuite was rattling although comfortable. Ensuite shower is old and was mouldy and could have been cleaned thoroughly although overall was clean and well-presented. Communication with Ian was friendly and responsive. Lovely front and back yard areas for my cavoodle to explore. Kitchen had everything we needed and the beach bags with towels were a great touch! I would recommend this place for large families and dog for a family vacay with much space for everyone to enjoy together and alone time. Thanks for having us Ian :)

We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely stay again. the location was excellent, walkable to town and the beach without the hustle and bustle of town. the rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, and the best super comfy. we all had a bathroom, too! loved the pool for an afternoon dip. we will be booking for next year !

Stuart’s place is in a magical spot with fantastic views to Nimbin Rocks. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. Stuart has thought of everything. Stuart was friendly and helpful. We had to reschedule our original booking due to Cyclone Alfred and Stuart was very accommodating and allowed us to do that without hesitation. Great place to stay if you are visiting the area.

The pictures fall short of capturing how lovely this experience is.... and the breezes off the ocean are delicious. l saw some comments about the upstairs bed, I found it deeply comfortable and I loved having that room. There is a lot of thoughtfulness in the amenities and the kitchen is GREAT for cooking. It's all so peaceful too, really deep sleeps. And location is divine for everything in the area.

As cyclone Alfred was approaching, Deidre had food , torches , safety lights ready for use if needed . Deidre & Des were amazing hosts who made us welcome , yet allowed us privacy . They went above & beyond in every aspect . Can’t wait to return .

Exceeded our expectations on every level! Such a lovely piece of paradise, Jason and Donna went above and beyond, it was my partners birthday and she couldnt have been more impressed. We want to live there lol. Beds were comfy, the decor os amazing and the little touches at every turn showed they really have gone the extra mile in providing something truly amazing. We will be back again and again. Thanks guys for making it a truly memorable trip for us.

This gem of a Queenslander affords the quintessential Australian experience. From the beautiful polished hardwood floors, the high ceilings, the large dining room table separated from the ample living space to the back patio with a table to seat 8, this house has it all. There are plenty of towels, pillows and blankets and ample closet space to unpack and store your luggage out of sight. The kitchen is well appointed- including enough wine glasses for any sized celebration!! - and Fiona has thought of all the daily items that you need. We really appreciated the large bottle of water already chilling in the fridge after our long day of travel as well as the Tim Tams that provided a quick pick me up. For American travelers, you will need to Google French press as there is no drip coffee maker but that just adds to the charm of the house. Easy access to the M1, in a quiet street with a coffee place and a service station within walking distance, Main Beach and Surfers' Paradise <15min.

This little cottage is an absolute gem. Located in a little spot of paradise nestled in the rainforest next to a beautiful stream that lulls you to sleep at night. Originally booked one night but upon arrival fell in love with the place and had to book another night. The ultimate place to unwind and conveniently located within cycling distance of the Rail Trail. There is everything you need there and the beds are nice and comfy. The hammock on the veranda is amazing. Will definitely be back.

A single Dad travelling with his 15 year old son and stayed at Johnny's Beachside apartment for eight nights. The space was perfect for us. The room was clean, comfortable and felt fresh and modern despite being in an older building, a testament to the care Johnny has put into creating it. The location was just about perfect - close enough to the action of Surfers Paradise but overlooking the more peaceful end to the North. Beds were clean and comfortable. My Teenage son slept on the Sofa bed and reported that it felt like sleeping in a real bed. The big screen TV is also a handy inclusion for the inevitable Gold Coast night where it is just too rainy to go out. Fortunately we had just one of those. What we will both miss the most though is the pair of Lorikeet friends who joined us each morning for breakfast and sang for us from the Window railing. Thankyou Johnny for a great stay and I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Julia’s place was great for our stay. Stunning views of the ocean. Very close to public transport and easy to get into the beach. Julia met us at the gate and was a fab host. Her bedroom is the other side of the apartment so we felt like we had our own space. I would highly recommend.

Best place I’ve stayed in a long while. It’s cozy, the location and views are great and you feel like at home from the beginning. Jacinta was super responsible throughout the stay. I would absolutely stay there again
