Me and my partner absolutely loved staying here! The chapel though beautifully renovated has kept all its traditional charm. The hosts were super friendly and it’s the perfect historic base to explore the surrounding areas and Newcastle itself. We will definitely be coming back! ✨

Accommodation, location and host were perfect & Joanne very kindly allowed us to check in early and check out late. Lovely, little thoughtful gestures - milk, bottle of wine, chocolates & doggy treats! Very clean, tidy and a very quiet location for a peaceful weekend and easy to park the car too. Thank you

We booked last minute and the host was away but was happy to accommodate us . She advised us that there was work ongoing with the newly built porch and it really didnt affect our stay. After a few problems on the telephone talking us how to get through the gate( it should have been left open) the local agent arrived and all was well The annexe is obviously 'work in progress' with some areas ( dining room) still to be renovated but overall a great place to stay. Was surprised that there was still a christmas garland on the stair bannister! Spotlessly clean but there was an overwhelming fragrance in lounge when we first arrived (? shake and vac or similar) which affected our breathing. Opened windows and fragrance lessened by second day. Great place to stay close to hospital and City Centre. Great having 2 bathrooms. Lovely well equipped kitchen. Spacious bedrooms. When the new porch is finished and the dining area decorated to match the rest of the house it will be fabulous.

My girlfriend and I stayed for the weekend at Sue's place and it was great. We had plenty of communication from Sue before hand with some very comprehensive directions. Check in was super easy with a key left in a lock box. The house and the hot tub were toasty warm ready for when we arrived which was really nice. The space is small but plenty enough for the 2 of us plus the dog. The kitchen was well equipped and thankfully the microwave doubles as a convection oven! I had a mild panic when we arrived and couldn't see an oven because I'd made us a fish pie! Thankfully the microwave cooked it beautifully although I wouldn't recommend it for bigger things. We ate out at the Fishing Boat Inn not far away after reading Sue's recommendation in the welcome book. My god it was good! I bet its amazing in the summer as its right on the beach front. The food was incredible and the service equally as good. Can't recommend them enough. All in all, it was a really lovely stay in the peace and quiet.

Perfect base for exploring area. Stayed for a couple of nights in half term with 3 children and dog. We visited Corbridge and Hexham on the way up , a day for Vindolanda , the Roman museum and from Walltown country park we did a walk up along the wall. Last day we went for another walk along wall taking in sycamore gap. Worked around the weather, couple of showers coinciding with pub lunch and museum. Great views and relaxing break. Kids loved helping feeding the animals and thank you for the fresh eggs! Cottage comfortable with games, plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs double room, room with a double and a single and another single partioned off with wooden folding door. Thanks for a lovely break.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property! The décor was lovely, modern and clean. There were pastries left out, tea, coffee, milk, locally made chocolates all fantastic touches which made us feel so welcome! The views were amazing - I think we got lucky with the October weather! The sunrises over the sea were brilliant to watch from the balcony well worth the early rise! I would highly recommend this place to anyone - Great location. Easy to drive down to Alnmouth and the beach. Great restaurants in Alnmouth - highly recommend Whittling House, Hope & Anchor and the green grocers/deli. If you are looking for somewhere to go to relax and get away from it all this will be perfect. We would definitely go back!

This place is more beautiful in real life than the photos capture. Fresh flowers, living plants, sweet treats, classy, warm decor all made for an atmosphere we immediately sank into and unwound. The huge garden facing window, and huge modern bathroom (with under floor heating) added to the cozy luxury. The next morning it took the smell of freshly ground coffee to finally coaxed me out of the wonderfully comfy bed, then off for a morning walk. We had the pleasure and honor of Kate’s friendly, and extremely well trained spaniel join us (Beason…you’re a CHAMP❤️). Thank you Kate for the care and warm, kindness we continue to feel from our short stay, it truly was a blessing:).

Perfect place for the four of us. lots of interesting books and board games. very clean and spacious. lovely to see personal touches all around us. We felt welcomed and Hayley was a warm, kind person. The garden is beautiful. Lots of wildlife everywhere. Hayley supplied everything we needed including snacks and drinks. We would stay again.

Lovely period home, full of character. Easy to find and a very short walk to the centre of Kelso and for a lovely walk along the river Tweed. Met David in person and he is a lovely man, very interesting.

Great place and even had an air fryer to make some food! Really tidy and very modern!

Clean, warm, comfy accommodation with a good shower and we'll equipped communal kitchen. Situated on the outskirts of Bellingham with good walks in the area and half an hour from Keilder Observatory. Good communication with hosts.

We have stayed here multiple times and each stay has been as pleasant as the last. Cannot recommend enough!

Great place to stay if you want to explore the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Perfect for a couple. Easy access and great facilities. Really comfy bed and bed linen. Graeme was really easy to get hold of and very helpful in facilitating early check in and a very welcome late check out after a very late night for a wedding nearby. Would highly recommend this property.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was ideal. The house was absolutely spotless and had so many lovely bits for our stay- including a delicious lemon cake and a bottle of Prosecco. The house was filled with everything and more we could have needed. The decor was so lovely. There was a lovely closed in area for our dog to play. The hot tub was ideal and so quiet to relax. I would recommend a stay to anyone and is close enough to lots of lovely walks and shops with feeling like you’re away.
