We had a great stay at The Fern with our two dogs. The secure garden with hot tub was very private and the fields on the site were perfect for our dogs to run around. We loved the puzzle box! Having an EV charger on site was a great feature too, that we made good use of. The space downstairs was very generous and well equipped. The bed upstairs was huge and the view from the window across the site was fantastic, especially at sunrise. Nigel was very friendly and responsive, providing lots of local info for things to do. Thank you for a fab stay!

Stayed in Terns glamping pod. The pod was so private to say it’s in a group of them, no one is overlooking and had a lovely view of the lake. The pod was clean and cosy. The tv had Netflix already logged in for you to use and an Alexa for music too! Really did have everything we needed. Helen greeted us and was so friendly, showed us to the pod and we were left to it. Will definitely be back, had the nicest time! Thank you

Home from a 1 night stay with my partner for his birthday and our 1 year old. The cottage is beautiful and so homely. Gorgeous interiors as if from Pinterest. very clean throughout. The hosts kindly accommodated a slightly earlier check in. Cot and linen provided for the baby. The bed is super comfy. Hot tub very clean and private garden is lovely, with a little fish pond which our daughter loved to watch. Ideal location for a relaxed stay with an excellent pub a couple minutes away.

This is a great base to explore Lincoln, Newark and Sherwood Forest. Lots of walks and history in the area. Philip recommended 2 great pubs, Prince Rupert in Newark and Hare & Hounds in Fulbeck. We also really enjoyed the Alpacca Farm and Doddington House. Philip lives close by and came to greet us on arrival. He is very friendly and helpful. The hot tub was great and accommodation very clean.

Lovely stay! The cottage was beautiful and the parking spaces were ideal as we brought 3 cars. The hosts were so attentive, with a welcome basket on arrival and regularly checking the hot tub throughout our stay. Absolutely perfect, thank you for a great stay!

This is the second time that we as a family of three we have stayed at one Anna's property's. The communication has been absolutely brilliant, and recommendations of things to do within the area has also been very good. It is a very quiet and peaceful place to stay as well. On a further note Newark is easy to get into either by walking, or by ordering an uber. Likewise you will find a gentle 3.5 mile walk along from the property along the river Trent for a bit to the Millstone brewery in Cromwell, from which you should( as we did ) be able to get an uber back to the property for a reasonable price. Lincoln is also within an easy drive to visit the castle and cathedral.

I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. It was absolutely perfect! And the host was fabulous! Lots of treats and extras, even for the dogs too. The accommodation is of a very high standard, with a huge long garden. Plenty of room for a game of football with the grandchildren. Our mini break was extremely relaxing, we felt very welcome and will definitely be booking again.

The cottage was very nice, with comfy beds and some drinks provided. It is located right in the city, making it very easy to walk back and to the property. The staff were also very friendly and helped us to easily find the property and parking space.

a lovely cosy, little cottage for a long weekend away competing my horse at a local equestrian centre. the self check in and check out facilitated late arrival and early departure. I know the area and needed a place to stay. The home was welcoming and warm. Everything you could need was available. It was clean and tidy. There was plenty of space, so if I had been travelling with family it would still have been big enough

sehr schönes Cottage mit steiler Treppe ins Schlafzimmer aber gut machbar ( Teppich und daher nicht rutschig) sehr schöne Küche und Möbel. kleiner eingezäunter Garten war Ideal für die Hunde. Die Kommunikation war einwandfrei. die Google Maps Angaben haben nicht gestimmt. Daher konnten wir es zunächst nicht finden aber nach einem Anruf beim Vermieter, kam sofort jemand raus, der uns zum Cottage gebracht hat. Wir hatten einen sehr guten Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder. 100% empfehlenswert und super auch ein großea Einkaufszentrum nur ein paar Meilen entfernt ist. Ebenso der Sherwood Forest und Creswell Crags sind einen Besuch wert.

A lovely little cottage that felt like home, just what we needed whilst working away from. It was great that we could bring the dog too, and they even had bowls and blankets for him too. Bill and Jo were fantastic hosts, they introduced themselves, and really made us feel welcome, nothing was too much for them. I Will definitely recommend, coffin makers cottage, and if in the area again I will definitely stay here. Thank you x

An absolute BEAUT of a place to stay with everything required for an easy and pleasant few days away from home. I was staying for work reasons but it would also be a PERFECT romantic getaway spot - just lovely! And walking distance to the canal and lovely scenery too...

Lovely stay very comfortable and would stay again. Host was very good at communicating. Only slight issue for me was that it was not crystal clear that there was no cooking facilities in the kitchen which would not be ideal for a longer stay. That said the property was lovely in all other aspects.

Beautiful home to use as a base to visit mt daughter and son in law who also live in Southwell Amenities were first class and the welcom me pack continued everything you could wish for Beds were very comfy and all areas were spotlessly clean

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was immaculately and thoughtfully presented and was spotless. It was a perfect location for our needs and our elderly dog especially appreciated the garden which was easy to access. We also appreciated the comprehensive information on local areas etc to visit. Beautiful home Beautiful village. Andrew and his lovely wife made us feel so welcome and when we checked out and accidentally left one of our bags inside they came immediately to let us back in to get it. Couldn't ask for better people or a more beautiful place to stay. Thanks.

Carole and Roger have lovingly created a space that really feels like they have welcomed you in to their world. It’s bright and full of character with a strong coherent aesthetic but still keeping a cosy and homely ambience. Right from the start there was an air of calm and welcome from Carole and Roger. We were shown around the cottage, they both answered any questions we had, said they were just over the way if we needed anything then left us all to enjoy our time together in peace. Friendly, attentive but also allow you to feel like you are at home, not in somebody else’s. The beds were very comfortable, the log burner was fantastic and the house was very clean. Carole, Roger, you are great, and thank you so much for our lovely stay at your beautiful cottage, we had a blast.

Highly recommend John's place. Spotlessly clean with everything you need from crockery pans and cooking utensils to fresh bread and milk in the fridge. Spacious house with a lovely garden and outdoor seating area. Comfy beds. All in all we were extremely impressed and would definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed here with our 2 children (3 & 6 years old) as well as our little pooch. Check in was seamless through communication with Darren who gave me a full breakdown of everything I needed to know. He was also very responsive if I did have any queries. The house was clean and tidy with all the essentials. The area is lovely with lots of restaurants and pubs to visit and also plenty of walks around the local village. Behind the property is the canal and towpath which was great for little walks with our children and dog. There is also a car park slightly further up the road which has another lovely walk from it. We would definitely recommend this property and we will hopefully be back soon to explore more of the area.
