Maneki Machiya's houses are a must try if you go to Kyoto, Japan. Nowadays modernity is everywhere with regards to housing, but this place is as traditional as it can get, and trust me there is so much beauty in that which is traditional. Additionally, if you book Maneki's cottage houses, you will be funding a good and noble cause; feeding and caring for stray cats in Japan, and helping them find their forever home. A must try for all first timers to Japan!

We had a great stay! The space is clean, well-equipped, and in a wonderful neighborhood with good restaurants and sights. Jun was a very responsive and helpful host. I recommend the space and would book it again.

Really unique home in Kyoto. Great location close to the Gyoen National Garden. The bikes are a great addition that allowed us to see everything. Comfy beds & super clean !

A perfect family haven in Kyoto! We stayed at the Saito family's place with three generations - my mother, wife, and two young children - and it provided the ideal base for exploring this magical city. The home is wonderfully spacious and perfectly equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location is exceptional, surrounded by convenient amenities and excellent dining options that made family meals effortless. What truly elevated our experience was the Saito family's attentive care. Their thoughtfulness and responsiveness to our needs, especially traveling with young children, made us feel completely at home. As we fell in love with Kyoto's charm and beauty, returning each day to this welcoming space enhanced our experience. For families looking to experience the best of Kyoto, I couldn't recommend the Saito family's place more highly

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic with lots of delicious restaurants and cafes close by. It is not touristy but still so close to the busy areas. Our toddler loved the playground across the road. The cafe downstairs was a real bonus too. The apartment was very clean and comfortable for 2 adults and a toddler. Highly recommend.

This Airbnb is incredible. It is spacious for our family of three, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is unbeatable - 3 supermarkets within 3-10 min of walking distance and minutes away from bus stops that go everywhere. Steven is an incredibly helpful and friendly host. He’s extremely responsive and has helped our requests so much. We are very grateful for our stay and would love to come back to Kyoto and stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Mio’s place. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful, yet surrounded by plenty of delicious eateries and easily accessible to major attractions. Mio was exceptional-Always checking in on us to ensure we had everything we needed. She shared a wealth of information on the best places to eat and explore, which really made our trip special. The house itself was lovely, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic Kyoto experience! 第一次来京都遇见了雪天，日式町屋在雪天更有意境。房间还有泡汤，冬天外出回来泡个汤真的很舒服。房间都是干净 房子装修的很新。房东回复也很及时。冬天还是有点冷，空调温度没办法及时取暖。夏天有机会会再次体验。
