We had a quick trip to Puerto Galera and loved discovering this corner of the world! The house is a comfortable beach house perfect for entertaining and just quality time. They had board games and a fussball table too. Our kids loved hanging out in the loft and playing non-iphone games, which we loved. Bathroom towels and beddings were of hotel quality, aircons and heaters functioned well too. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed for cooking our meals. We asked Rose to cook for us for a fee and her liempo was divine! There is a grill in the garden too and we set up the table outdoors to really feel the place. The beach sand is good and we swam in front of the house. The kayaks were a welcome treat and we rowed around in the area. A fantastic stay, from a great house, attentive caretakers and a quiet and beautiful location.

Big house with a big, well equipped kitchen/living room that is nice to hang out with your friends or family. The balcony is also great, with a nice partial view of the sea and green surroundings. It has permanent water and electricity. It has a washing machine, which is a plus. This place was very good value for the money, and Sir Jean Yves is a nice folk who is always willing to help and make you feel comfortable at his place.

We booked this place at short notice. We were a large party and Jefril was very accommodating from the moment we made contact. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and responsive to our requests. The bar was a great addition and the menu offered good food at very reasonable prices if cooking was not on your agenda. Boats were on hand to take you across water, plus a jet ski, diving and kayaking (needed maintenance) all available - again at reasonable prices - if you wanted to be more adventurous. The house overall was good although the photos were a little dated, but as long as you weren’t planning on spending most of your time in the house, it shouldn’t really bother you.

The driftwood cottage was a great stay, it was very clean and comfortable and fit the desciption very well. The crew is what makes this place exceptional, they arranged everything for us from motorbike rentals to a ride on their cousin’s boat to get us to Abra de Ilog. I don’t know how else we would have gotten there! Food and cocktails in the tiki bar next door are great and they stand ready morning, afternoon and evening to serve you. The location is very quiet and away from anything exciting to do, but for us this was a plus. Diving or eating out is 10-30 minutes away by motorbike or tricycle. 5 stars and I advise you stay here when you want to stay in or around Puerto Galera.

Our Team Building was indeed memorable and def would go back and extend our stay for sure 💜 . LOVED LOVED the kitchen! Plenty of Wok to use, and how cozy it is, spent most of the time in the Kitchen🤣. You may hear some crow every now and then, but its funny! My team kept on repeating it like a parrot! Maria and her husband were very gracious hosts. They greeted us and met us and gave us a tour around when we arrived. Cozy and warm place. Reminds me of my home in the province. Pool is not too big but great for night swimming with temperate water. The Beach is a very short walk away and great for small children because it’s not deep at all even at high tide. There were algae though, maybe just the season. White sand but have pebbles. The beach has some trash probably from the ocean. There is a land bridge which is great for picture taking and going to the deeper part. Probably the only thing we didn’t like is the tap water is salty, which is not uncommon for coastal towns. The place provides privacy for medium and large groups. Amenities are complete with pugon if you are into baking dishes and artisanal pizza. Menu of authentic tasting Italian cuisine also available but pricey probably because it is prepared fresh and ingredients have to be bought in the city. Overall 5/5 stars

I quickly felt right at home. The staff were helpful and the Manager was close at hand to sort out any needs. My room, a studio, had everything I needed including a functional kitchenl that I used everyvday. My view from the balcony was across the strailt to Luzon. l went to sleep every night to the sound of the waves breaking on the beach below my balcony.

The best stay ever! Kuya Arnel is extremely kind and accommodating, especially when it comes to the place and check-in/check-out flexibility. The caretakers are also very good and helpful - kudos to them! Hopefully, we can come back again."

We enjoyed staying at Driftwood. Overall totally worth it. A small suggestion would be to get another a/c in the living room area. This wasn’t a major issue as Puerto Galera temperatures were cooler than say Manila. Last but not least hospitality at Driftwood was excellent. Highly recommend.
