What a great place, peaceful, secluded and perfect getaway. Loved it and will be back

We stayed one night with friends for our kids’ sports tournament. Plenty of beds, and everything was clean and comfortable. Close to restaurants and the school. Don’t forget to bring coffee like I did! 😵‍💫😁

This house is a must see. The view of Lake Michigan is amazing no matter the season. The large windows ensure you don't miss a sunset. We scheduled a winter weekend getaway with our kids and grandchildren and never left the house. The numerous games and hot tub kept us entertained with lot of laughs and memories made. Steffany and Doug were very responsive and great hosts, thank you for sharing your home! Would highly recommend.

Our stay at the 1861 farmhouse was lovely! The house was just what we needed to relax during a hectic wedding weekend! We loved the cozy space and the stunning porch! Dog and kitty joined us for morning coffee and were diffidently our highlights!

This home was exactly what we needed! I highly recommend a winter stay here! It was peaceful and quiet. We went on walks and were the only ones around. I’m sure in the summer it is a hopping place which would be fine too but the quiet winter retreat was perfect! There is a very well supplied kitchen. We had a nice steak dinner for 7 people one evening and everything needed to pull that off was in the kitchen. Very nice!!

Writing this review, with considerable jet lag, I can say the only feedback prompt I paused on was "value." This wasn't a cheap week. But seriously, it shouldn't have be. This is a large, well appointed property in a seriously beautiful lake country setting. Moreover, it's a real house for real people, not a beige/grey generic airbnb-fab unit created for the purpose of a revenue stream. Also- If you are a client with a boat/boat aspirations, don't think twice. This place is awesome.

Good value for your money. It doesn't have any fancy frills but if you're an average Joe looking for a clean space something other than a hotel room for your family this is it. You have room for a good size family and can still have a little personal space. I will stay again sometime.

The little green cottage is adorable and has everything needed for a very comfortable stay! Pentwater is pretty uneventful in November, which isn’t a surprise, but the people around town were very friendly and there is quite a bit to do in some of the neighboring areas. Definitely recommend!

Awesome stay, we have done this with the family for a few years and really have a wonderful time between the cabin and the amenities at double jj. The place is hard to find as the directions take you down a service road, but once there it’s a dream.

Great space, great location! The property was exactly as described and so many wonderful touches. Small candy dish, amenities, plenty of room and the decorations in the house were fantastic. Communication was above average. Great time was had by all. We will definitely rent again!

This place is fantastic for a group that loves the outdoors! They had all the basics covered and we didn’t want for anything. There is a bar/restaurant right up the road with good food and a pool table. We saw a bunch of wildlife including a bobcat. Very peaceful getaway- great hosts!

I got to say the pictures don’t make justice to this amazing place, so cozy and beautiful. Equipped with everything you need, the bed was comfortable and the fireplace just perfect, Marlene was an amazing host, she was so responsive and kind, she even gave us fresh eggs, super helpful, we’re definitely coming back. We went here for a mini honeymoon after our wedding. We wanted to look at the stars and this location seemed perfect since it was so secluded. Conviently when we visited the northern lights were visible in this area. Will definitely be back!

We spent a couple days exploring Double JJ Ranch and Robert’s house was about 7-10 minutes from the ranch. Perfect location for us! It was a great house to rent.
