Gorgeous mountain retreat is a perfect way to describe this property. I found everything in the description of this property to be true. In my opinion Karla’s description was very humble and we found the property to be much better than expected. Entire family celebrated my father’s 90th birthday, and found the house plenty spacious for all of us. With full living space on the main level and downstairs we never felt crowded.The house was immaculate and very well stocked with items that were above and beyond any other property I’ve ever stayed in right down to the firewood. Directions were easy to follow and communication was always done in a timely fashion. If you want to relax, do nothing, enjoy the views this is the place for you. If you want to be active, go hiking, play golf, tennis, etc. this is the place for you. If you want to grill out and watch football with the gang, this place is for you. So if you have a large group, and you are looking for a mountain getaway, I recommend that you stop looking and book this property NOW!!

Stayed at tall ships numerous times, best unit so far. Enjoy all the amenity’s. Golf,tennis,gym, walking trails. Will rent from Michael next trip. Chuck B.

Five Stars – A Perfect Lakeside Getaway for the family! Team Vaughn had an amazing stay at Hickory Hideaway at the Lake! The home is cozy, peaceful, and very well maintained—everything you could want for a relaxing retreat. The view of the lake is absolutely beautiful, the kids loved the private pool, we spent hours fishing from the dock, and we even took the row boat out for a spin! Ultimately, we thoroughly enjoyed soaking it all in and making wonderful family memories! Ms. Ellen was a fantastic host—very responsive and thoughtful, providing lots of helpful information that made our stay even better. You can really tell she puts care into every detail. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and scenic escape⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is our second year staying here and we can’t wait to come back! Such a wonderful layout for a big groups and peaceful surroundings yet so close to amenities! I can’t recommend it enough! We are already planning our trip for next year!!

Keith was very responsive and helpful from the moment I booked the BNB for the weekend. Very simple process and the details and instructions were very clear and easy to understand. We rented the spacer for a wedding rehearsal dinner and bridesmaids stay. It was a beautiful older home that had such a warm feel. The setting was just perfect!

Perfect space for decompressing and enjoying time away and nature! Extremely comfortable and peaceful. Had a super productive couple of days writing and going for walks. Exactly what I was looking for.

We choose this location so we could be close to Clemson University for the football game. Highly suggest this location especially with a group of people .

From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect and perfect location/setup for our getaway. Everything we needed with plenty of room, perfect for four guys on a golf trip!! Even had a brand new grill, updated appliances and perfect theater room to watch the Final Four games!! Can’t say enough about this place and the owners were very responsive and communicative throughout our stay. Five stars all around and would highly recommend!!

Had a wonderful stay at this lake house. It was perfectly clean and very cozy. Our group felt right at home. The lake was beautiful and we got to enjoy some time relaxing on the dock. Hosts were very communicative and helpful. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again!

The home and Tara were great! The space was perfect for our large family - the loft playroom in particular was wonderful for 7 kids to play in and allow the adults to still have a separate space where there was some relative calm. It is remote but still accessible to Cashiers, and we went on several excursions to nearby hikes and waterfalls. We very much enjoyed our holiday there.

Incredible house!!! Perfect for a family Thanksgiving. Only concern was the bottom floor never would get warm.

Everything was according to the pictures, host responded in a timely manner about any issues we had, and were very kind. We all had an amazing time with the bonfire and their boardgame closet.

This is our second time renting this house. Just as before we found the hosts to be super helpful and very friendly. The house is beautifully decorated. The lake was peaceful and so quiet. plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The hot tub was beautiful to sit and enjoy the view of the lake. I was most impressed with the promptness of the hosts. We had an issue with the oven and they had an alternative for us within a couple of hours! I will include that the stairs going down to the second level are steep, so be alert! I highly suggest this house to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing time by the lake!

Great place to stay. Roomy, comfortable, quiet. Close to campus but not too close. Private and peaceful. Can walk down to the lake. Hosts are very responsive and updating the house. Hope to stay there again!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family. Even with the rain we had a wonderful time. We loved the smaller cottage for us older folks. Some peace and quiet from the grands! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We thoroughly enjoyed the large fireplace. So warm and cozy! The large Christmas tree and decorated mantle was a beautiful addition to the holiday spirit. Thank you again for sharing such a special place!

Amanda and her husband maintained a really good property here it was clean well laid out well lit everything was functioning with a few problems we had as far as drainage of the drain. She was already working on. She was flexible as far as my family coming to town to visit with a sick relative for the holidaysoverall, just a great visit highly recommend Amanda and her family.

Wonderful rental with everything you need. Lake and dock were amazing. It was so quiet and relaxing. Comfortable beds and everything you need to feel right at home, even had games and things for entertainment when you needed a break from the water.

Mara was an excellent host! She provided very clear instructions about the house and made using it seem very easy. She was very responsive to text that we sent. She made cleaning up and leaving very easy. The house was in a quiet little neighborhood that was only 15 minutes from Clemson. Super convenient location to get to anything we wanted and yet feel like we were out of the hustle of the college. Would recommend the house to anyone that was in the area for any reason!

We booked our stay before we ever knew a storm was coming our way, but decided to make the trip anyway. Tyler was very clear about the area surrounding the house and what to avoid. House was perfectly maintained and positioned beautifully on the lake. Whether you want to jet ski, fish, or just patrol the lake..... this house is the perfect location for all of it. The hidden gem with this property is the caretaker, he is very welcoming and has deep knowledge of the area and its history, which made for some great conversations while watching the sunset views on the lake. We will definitely be returning and staying longer.
