This place is in a great location, close to the national park. It was clean and comfortable. I did find that compared to other Airbnb places I have stayed in New Zealand, it was a little expensive and lacks charm and personality - but I guess that's due to the out of the way location. Basic tea and coffee were provided, but no milk. There is an excellent takeaway just across the street that has a variety of burgers and generous serves of the best chips I've had in New Zealand. All in all, a good place to stay for a night or two.

The apartment was even larger than I expected it to be. The kitchen was stocked with lots of pots and pans and utensils. The linens were quite comfortable. Everything about the place was excellent and as described! The view is very good, and the breeze at night was great. It's a little outside of town, which is great if you want quiet and peace, but it is a 10 to 15 minute drive down the hill. To me it was worth the drive to have such a nice place.

really enjoyed our stay and Sue is an amazing host and very responsive and kind. I will definitely look forward to stay again at this beautiful place.

Alison and Ron were so kind and friendly. The space was very comfortable, especially the beds. Nice little bathrooms attached to each room as well!

I found Braxmere Lodge very clean and comfortable in quiet and traquil location at southern end of Lake Taupo. Felt safe and private. Friendly staff. Stunning views. I will stay again.

We had the pleasure of staying at this stunning brand-new home, and it exceeded all of our expectations! The house was impeccably equipped, with everything we could possibly need and more. The kitchen had brand-new appliances and all the essentials (and more), the living areas were spacious and beautifully furnished, and the bedrooms were super comfortable. The indoor-outdoor flow was perfect, with large sliding doors opening to a gorgeous outdoor space where we could soak up the sun, enjoy meals, and relax. The grilling area with a table and chairs was ideal for cooking and dining outside. The views from the spa were breathtaking, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. The location was fantastic – quiet and private, yet close to everything in Ohakune, and just a 50-minute drive to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Gerald, thank you for being such an exceptional host. We can’t wait to return! Highly recommend this spot for a luxurious getaway.

Sarah was a wonderful host and her place felt like home. We had everything we needed for a week in Taupo. Close to a shopping market and the walking path on the lake, the place was quiet and peaceful.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay in a great location. House was private and had everything we needed. Also amazing mini golf & restaurant walking distance! Great walks to the lake also!

We had a lovely stay with two couples and a child. it was cosy and the kitchen had everything we needed. there were good heating appliances too and the photos matched the description well. it was good value and would happily recommend to others. thanks Deborah!

The accommodation was amazing for a large group. House has an awesome lay out, super spacious living area and kitchen, comfy beds, and warm and toastie. Bridget’s communication was great at all times, highly recommend to stay here!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce logement ! L'emplacement est idéal pour profiter du calme et de la nature, avec le lac à proximité pour de belles balades. L'environnement est paisible et parfait pour se ressourcer. Le logement est conforme à la description, propre et bien équipé. Il est préférable d'avoir une voiture pour faciliter les déplacements vers le centre-ville et les commerces. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement et remercions notre hôte pour son accueil !

We had a lovely time at Jocelyn’s place. The house is spacious and the garden is beautiful. We loved sitting on the porch or walking down the river next to the house. Jocelyn was very helpful and friendly and we very much recommend staying at her place.
