Fantastic host and area! Beautiful setting and loved the shared kitchen/community area!! Great place to disconnect while enjoying the town of Berea! Loved our visit to Tater Knob pottery and hiking the Pinnacles! Will definitely be back!!

Enjoyed a trip here with my wife. Was a beautifully little town and the cabin was plenty comfy. We stayed in the love shack and plan to come back again and try one of the other cabins in the future! Got to talk to the Hostess during check-out and she was very welcoming and friendly!

The stay in the treehouse was a really cool experience. It is certainly primitive with no electricity or running water but a full bathroom and shower are available is needed. This said, we really enjoyed our stay and got to experience a heavy rain shower in the tree house overnight. It was beautiful

We had a great stay at Lions Lair, it was exactly what we wanted, to stay in a tree house, no wifi and little cell service. Allison was a great host, and was super helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

There’s something magical about the treehouse. It’s a beautiful place to go to be surrounded by nature. The treehouse is sooooo cool and almost surreal to think “I’m actually sleeping in a treehouse!!” My son’s, their friends and I could not have picked a better place to celebrate my son turning 12! Shelly and Bill are so kind and make you feel right at home.

Beautiful spot in the mountains. No service, no wifi. So nice to unplug.

Two adults and two 13 yr old girls. We didn't read the listing carefully, but that was on us. We arrived at about 10 pm. It was dark but the directions were excellent. We found it. The last part of the drive on the gravel road was an adventure, but we made it. We all decided to roll with it. It is pretty much a sleeping porch. With the added adventure of an outhouse. It was chilly last night but warm under the blankets. All in all, we had a fun time and a unique experience.

We loved our weekend stay here for a girl’s trip! It was just what it needed to be - a comfortable place to sleep, nice bathroom and shower, bare necessities for kitchen. We made all our meals outside on our camp stove and spent each morning and evening on the large deck! We loved being surrounded by the trees but close enough to others that it felt like being at a campground. The hosts were accommodating and very kind. We’d definitely recommend!!

Great getaway! Responsive host, perfect little weekend trip in a perfect little rental!! would definitely recommend!! Had a great peaceful weekend and the hot tub was an extra nice feature for this time of year!!

My husband and I stayed at Carol and Von’s lovely spot for a one-night staycation getaway. It was such a serene spot to get off the grid for a night and spend quality time together. We cooked dinner outside on the big deck on the propane stove they provided, and spent the evening talking around a fire. At night we cozied up and read a book together in the sweet sleeping loft. Such a thoughtfully designed and very well-built little cabin. A perfect stay! We’d absolutely love to return in the future. :)

We stayed at Elsie’s place for a long weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. This was our first stay in a shipping container home, and it was everything we hoped it would be! The floor plan is very well laid out to feel spacious, and features modern amenities. The weather was very cold during our stay, but the container was cozy and warm. The extra throws, pillows and blankets added extra coziness for lounging. We took advantage of the well-stocked kitchen to cook all our meals from scratch. There are even food storage containers for leftovers. With plenty of natural light and a wide open view of the wooded area, Elsie’s place is perfect for getting off the grid, clearing your mind and relaxing. We hope to return in warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor living space, which is just as big as the indoor living space.

Madison is a great host, the cabin is nice and the location is beautiful.

Fantastic for a long weekend getaway. So peaceful and although it can be somewhat windy to get up to the cabin, the location is worth is. Very peaceful and private. Comfortable, open living area.

12/10 A perfect place for a get away with the loved one. Private, clean and has all the Amenities you could want. Close to hiking locations. Highly recommend, location and owner. Awesome experience!

We loved our stay here. The rocks and river were so beautiful. The down stairs really feels more like a “tiny home.” The kids had a great space upstairs in the loft. They had a microwave and outdoor grill for cooking, but we didn’t see the toaster oven shown in the pictures. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. The couch on the porch is very relaxing. We did feel the price was a bit high for it feeling more like a tiny home, but we definitely loved our stay.

Excellent property and host. Would give more than 5 stars if I could. Sherry and her property manager Cindy were wonderful. Cindy met us when we arrived to let us in and show us around. Excellent condition and well maintained. No WiFi signal, which let us really get away. Our dog loved it, too. Very serene and peaceful. We will be back!

When looking to book a place to stay on our first visit to Nashville, we were trying to decide whether we should stay in downtown Nashville or outside and we are so glad we chose Greenbrier! We surprised our college aged kids with the destination and I will never forget their faces when we pulled up to the treehouse! It was nice to go into Nashville by day and return to such a peaceful and whimsical place in the evenings. We made so many great memories that included swinging and talking, collecting eggs and having them for breakfast, roasting marshmallows over the gas tabletop fire and listening to music, watching the birds, and so much more! It was the perfect way to close out 2024. Chip & Crystale, thank you and we look forward to returning again!

Stay here!! This house is full of whimsy and love. From the bright colors and folk art on the walls, to the extensive library and games, to Rebecca’s warm welcome, our experience was overflowing with joy. She has clearly put so much care and creativity into the home. Rebecca was also very generous with her recommendations. When I told her why we were visiting and what we like to do, she took the time to write an extensive list of thoughtful suggestions. The beds are so comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with all the cookware you could need to make a family meal. Or, go to any of her stellar restaurant recommendations - all within a 10-15min drive. Staying at this home made our visit to Charleston a one-of-a-kind experience. We will definitely be back!

This was our 2nd stay on Matt’s property. Our first stay was at his cozy little cottage. This time, it was the Treehouse, and much like our first experience, this stay did not disappoint! The treehouse was so cool and tucked away in a private location. We enjoyed walking the trails on the property. This Airbnb is so unique with an efficient, well-designed layout. It was spotless and had some really nice finishes and higher end touches. Matt and family were great hosts and provided instant responses to any questions we had. Overall a 5-star experience!

Acorn Acre is better than you can imagine: unusually private and peaceful. Nothing that feels tiny about it; well thought out use of space. Charming decorations by obviously dog people. Lots of windows for an open, bright living area. Deck is large and overlooks extensive private woods with lots of doggy walking space and a flowing creek. Shower is great and bed and pillows are very comfortable. Everything in good shape and Wi-Fi is excellent. Gravel Road in good condition, and no more than 10 minute drive into Boone. Highly recommend and intend to return.

The Birdhouse was so cute and just as listed! It was a great stay with friends for the night. Def will be back with our kids!

This was a beautiful spot for a peaceful getaway! The treehouse looked like the photos, and the views were great. We would love to come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy all the outdoor space! Wilson’s directions were super clear and helpful, but the unpaved hill down to the house is very steep and it was difficult getting back up the hill. If it were rainy or muddier, we would definitely park at the top of the hill and walk down.

The Treehosue was just as advertised! Beautiful and secluded in the woods. The set up was very cozy and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. I would definitely go back for another stay! preferably in late summer/early fall. Thank you so much David! You did an amazing job with the treehouse.
