We had an excellent stay at TURTLES. The apartment is absolutely beautiful, has a stunning view and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Thank you, Donna, for hosting my friends and I, and for being so responsive to any questions we had!

We loved Naomi's place and we've stayed in many Airbnbs across the world for over 10 yrs. It's where we'll stay if we return to Shoal Bay. The house sits in an area where locals live but feels like a dedicated vacation home once you're there. The vibe was as pictured - bright, white, clean and stylish. Not "lived in" or cluttery, as if you're just borrowing someone's personal home. We have two teens so I intentionally gave up beach proximity for space, style, and price. The perks were more than worth it for our situation and we still walked to the beaches anyway because they aren't that far for adults who can carry their own stuff. Probably wouldn't brave it with toddlers without a beach cart and stroller. Outdoor showers, fire pit, large yard, stylish interior, comfy beds , linens provided, great bathrooms, ease of entry, quick reponse time with questions, all at the price point we needed. Zero complaints.

We had an incredible stay at this Airbnb in Nelson Bay! The location is absolutely perfect – just a 15-minute walk to the marina and a short drive to all the main attractions in the area. The house itself was spacious, modern, and exceptionally well-equipped, offering great value for our group of 14. The heated pool was a standout feature – perfectly maintained with just the right amount of chlorine, making it a delightful spot to relax and unwind. Brian and Sue were phenomenal hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They even welcomed us with two bottles of wine – such a thoughtful touch! The amenities were modern and well-kept, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free experience for everyone. This property truly exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn't hesitate to book again. Highly recommended for large groups or families looking for a fantastic getaway in Nelson Bay!

The house was lovely in a peaceful location. We were a five minute walk away from the water and a 5 min drive to the local restaurants and cafes. Bruce was very responsive to help us out and we really enjoyed our stay!

Gabrielle was a wonderful host. Readily available and very responsive! The house is stunning! So spacious, clean, modern and walking distance to the main strip & beaches! The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again~ Well worth the $$$

Lisa’s house was absolutely perfect for our extended family. 7 adults & 2 toddlers. We felt very at home as soon as we arrived. The house has everything we needed. The location was perfect, the kids loved looking at the horses, ducks & nearby goats. The distance to a family wedding was ok and grabbing a coffee at Paterson or Vacy was easy. Lisa was fabulous to deal with, very quick response time & very helpful. I would recommend a stay at Lisa’s it was great.

We stayed here for a girl's weekend getaway, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt instantly relaxed — the property is so peaceful and beautifully set amongst the trees, making it feel like a private retreat. The house itself was spotless, spacious, and full of charm. We loved the open-plan areas that was perfect for gathering together, and the large kitchen made it easy to prepare food for the group. The outdoor area was a dream, and the surrounding bushland made for such a serene and magical atmosphere. All the bedrooms were comfortable and thoughtfully styled, and there were plenty of spaces to chill out or have a laugh over a glass of bubbles. We especially loved waking up to the sound of birds and enjoying our morning coffee surrounded by nature on the deck. This property made our girls weekend so special, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, picturesque, and well-equipped stay.

Beautiful home, great location, clean and tidy and had 5 seperate beds which was a rare find in the area. The pool was a lovely touch. The host was very friendly and communicated so well. We had a stress free stay there with no issues whatsoever. Thank you Tara!

Bryony’s place is just magical. It had everything we needed and more. The view and the wrap around verandah were what stood out for us. Having small people, it meant they were safe when they were playing outside, which meant we could actually relax and enjoy ourselves. The kitchen was really well equipped and we appreciated the little things we didn’t have to pack such as oils, coffee, dishwashing tablets and shampoo etc. The house was extremely comfortable for a large party of 9 as we were able to retreat to different areas of the house when needed. It would be even better if there was a vacuum and a mop so that we could adequately clean up after ourselves. We had the most enjoyable time and hope to book again.

These hosts deserve their superhost title. We were 6 girlfriends and this house had it all. Loads of private space & thoughtful extras like extra ice, bread & milk & kitchen necessities and they accommodated our later check out request. Perfect weekend, 6 bedrooms (the 6th is the upper lounge area), 3 toilets, 2 showers/bathrooms, lovely tropical garden outdoor space. All was very very clean! It is a 2 minute drive to the beach. Nowdays, all beach areas have paid parking (cheap for Sydneysiders at $4 per hour, use Easypark App) or park 1 street back for free. Easy paved hike 30-45 minutes to the top of Mt Tomaree for a truely world class view!! All beaches are beautiful and clean and are not busy even in school holidays. Greek restaurant Atmos topped off our holiday. Thank you to our very fastidious hosts.

Amazing stay! Loved the space and the cleanliness of the house - was just like the pictures! Niall was very responsive and happy to be flexible with check in! Very gracious by providing a hand written note and a bottle of wine! Would 100% stay again!

Great place for a family holiday. Jac was extremely responsive and checked in with us during our stay. Quiet neighbourhood, close to beach and great coffee shops!

It’s a comfortable and spacious place in a good location. There are shops in walking distance and so many beaches around. Kitchen is very big and well equipped. Massive TV with Netflix and Disney plus. Trampoline and cubby house in the garden which were great for kids. The fairy lights in the garden were lovely! One bedroom is located outside through the balcony without aircon so it may get hot in hot days but it was ok to sleep with the ceiling fan.

This was one of the best AirBnB properties we have ever stayed in! Very homey, well equipped and clean! The location was amazing, too! Walkable to the rock pools, beautiful beaches and shops. We can highly recommend Hannah. The area offers lots to do for families and the home makes it easy to have a beautiful relaxing time away. Jaymie also responded always promptly and provided us with guidance and assistance when needed. Thank you for offering such a nice home to us and being such a great host!

beautiful private space with pool and large fenced yard. perfect for young children and their parents. the "sunroom" was perfect for relaxing. fantastic large sreen TV for watching movies and sports!

We selected Ruth’s BnB based on availability and proximity to John Hunter Hosp. So very glad we did as we got an extremely flexible Hosp, air BnB that had a home feel and all the little nick nacks that you need in daily life that many BnBs don’t cover.

Communication from Jane was excellent. The space was absolutely lovely with stunning views, close to lots of activities and with a well supplied kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing stay! Perfect set up for groups of friends or two families like we were. We loved the extra touches like balled ice cubes and lots of extra bath and beach towels! Our kids loved the spa/pool and it was nice and warm which was a perfect activity for them even in the rain! This place is walking distance to the shops, marina and cafes/restaurants! Richard was an amazing host and communicated very fast with any questions we had about the spa! The set up is great and so relaxing! Nice to have three different areas to sit too and chill out with enough space to not be on top of your other guests! We had a great time and will be back!! Thank you!

Excellent home for our family gathering. Sally is a generous host with a few nice surprises in addition to the basic staples. Very well laid out accommodation and the pool area was a real bonus. Lovely modern beach style decor in keeping with the location close to the ocean. Highly recommend.

We had a great family stay at Andrew's. The house was clean, spacious, with an organised & equipped kitchen, nicely styled and was relaxing place for a weekend getaway.
