Perfect Retreat in Devonport! My stay at this beautiful cottage in Devonport was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in a peaceful, secluded location yet just a short distance from town, it offered the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. The outdoor area was a true highlight—an inviting space to relax, unwind, and soak in the serene surroundings. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, the setting was simply idyllic. Inside, the cottage was warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully equipped. Had a great stay. We appreciated the thoughtful extras of a selection of coffee and milk in the fridge. The location is great, as St Helier’s is a lovely area of Auckland and has some great shops. We felt refreshed after our stay

Located close to beaches, forests, and wineries this is an ideal accommodation with very congenial hosts. The unit is immaculately clean and fresh looking and makes the most of a small space for breakfast prep. Honestly, she’s thought of almost everything you could need. Lauren provided info on nearby hiking and stores and restaurants when I had specific interests. We even shared a walk with her dog Molly one morning to nearby beaches I had yet to visit. There are lots of hills around, even the driveway is quite steep, so best to have a car if you’re not reasonably fit and don’t enjoy that type of exercise. Coming home at night, it’s quite dark near the house, but she provides a flashlight or you could use your mobile flashlight.. Overall, a wonderful stay, lots of fresh air, exercise, beautiful nature, peaceful environment in a very comfortable apartment. Thank you Lauren. I would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again..

Had an excellent stay, the unit was clean and quite peaceful too. The host was kind and also quick with communication. My partner and I found it very convenient as it was only a 6-8 minute drive to an event we were attending at Mount Smart Stadium. Overall, super lovely place with a great host would definitely stay again!

Wonderful spot! Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Cosy beds and everything we needed. Great location - we lived in the neighbourhood many years ago so it was a lovely trip down memory lane for our 3 generation family group. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again!

We had such a wonderful stay at Mark’s Airbnb! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break with our little family. It was the perfect space to unwind, and we really appreciated the thoughtful setup. Mark was an excellent host—clear communication, friendly, and super accommodating from start to finish. We felt really well looked after and are genuinely grateful. Would absolutely love to stay here again next time we’re in Auckland. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained place!

This is a very nice little self-contained flat with easy access to the beach and to Howick village and shops etc. Hayley was very helpful throughout our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kaye's. The apartment is in a very quiet neighbourhood, which suited us perfectly as we staying in Auckland for a sporting event and needed a quiet space to rest up each evening. We had everything we needed and were surprised how large the apartment is, it looks smaller in the photo's. The extra bed meant that my daughter and I didn't have to share a room. Would happily recommend Kaye's place and definitely stay there again if the need arose.

Thank you for great stay! Ali's place is cozy and peaceful, and there is much more to it than what is listed on AirBnB. Ali is a friendly and responsive host, and was very helpful in providing recommendations for local coffee shops and cafes when I asked about it. Furthermore, Ali was very generous in allowing early check-in and late check-out based on what I needed. There are beautiful beaches nearby to visit, with some cafes and restaurants overlooking the ocean. Definitely consider booking Ali's place when you are looking for peaceful stay in East Auckland.

Comfy with many thoughtful little things that make a stay so much easier like a beach towel, plenty of coffee, washing powder etc. Friendly helpful hosts. Can't beat the location so close to a fab swimming beach!

Lovely modern, fresh and clean accommodation. Karen was very friendly and helpful and booked a local restaurant for us too. In a suburban area so you would need a car but walking distance to a restaurant. Just 10 minutes drive from the Howick Historical Village which is a great spot to spend a couple of hours.

Great accommodation that truly feels like home because everything you need is there (from tennis rackets to towels and bedding to kitchen equipment and much more). The view of the skyline from the balcony is amazing for sunsets. Mike gave us a warm welcome and showed us around. All the nice neighborhoods are within easy walking distance; we left the car conveniently in the parking garage. We would definitely stay here again.

Peter’s AirBNB is gorgeous and well stocked. He was friendly, responsive, and on premise much of our stay (which is a private section of his home), but also great about giving us privacy. We especially enjoyed the pool and charming garden spaces - as well as the breakfast food and tea/coffee provided. A few notes that weren’t fully clear to me before arriving: >Washer is on site but generally not for guest use (though we got the OK to do a couple loads when we asked) > There is no living room or indoor common area of the Airbnb space. > There are gorgeous outdoor spaces with shade covering to enjoy for meals at home - but only bedroom/hallway space available indoors for “hang out space” > The Rotary walk area is easily accessible from this space - and the views are even better than the pictures :)

We had the most fantastic stay! Allison was incredibly responsive and friendly. The location really stands out. It is front row with lovely unobstructed views and restaurants in both directions, yet it is still private and peaceful. Honestly, we felt privileged to be able to stay in what is clearly a very cherished family holiday home.

it's a beautiful apartment on the hill where I could see the ocean and the blue sky from my bedroom every morning. The bathroom is clean and the kitchen, living room are spacious. If you have a car is perfect to drive uphill. Otherwise, it's very steep to walk up every day!

Absolutely five stars for Christina’s Tradewinds studio on Waiheke Island! If you’re looking to truly disconnect and unwind, this is the spot. Tucked away in a peaceful and secluded area, it’s the perfect escape from the hustle of everyday life. The studio is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing weekend. I loved how quiet and calm it was—ideal for reading, resting, and recharging. The location is a dream: about 2.5 miles from town, and right near beautiful walking trails that wind through vineyards and offer stunning views of the hills and the water. No air conditioning, but I slept comfortably with the door cracked and the shades down—fresh island air and total serenity. Highly recommend if you’re craving peace, nature, and a slower pace. I can’t wait to return.
