We absolutely enjoyed our stay at prospect hill... check in and check out was simple and easy, and they made it clear if we needed anything then they were there!! If you are looking for a break from the hustle and bustle then this place is perfect!! Cute house with great dock and water view... loved sitting on the porch playing cards and just listening to the peacefulness!! We had our photographer come out and take engagement photos for us and between the lake, the covered bridge and the unique interior of the home we were able to have some great pics taken😁!! Wasn't but 1 and a half hour from us so next time we need a get away then we will definitely keep propspect hill in mind... thank you taylor and dylan for a great weekend stay!!

My husband and I spent the most marvelous 3 nights at Joe and Megan's cabin. We truly did not want to leave at the end of our stay! The house was so cozy and had absolutely everything we needed. The kitchen, while small'ish, was exceptionally functional and very wellstocked. We only used the downstairs bedroom, but that bed was very comfortable and all linens were nice. The sunroom was a peaceful place to enjoy the mornings. Great wifi/TV/streaming options. We fully enjoyed all outdoor areas. The deck with large gas grill made for having fun relaxing dinners with lovely views of the lake. The dock was a restorative place to spend the day, launch kayaks from (provided with rental!), and for stargazing at night. There are a few homes/docks nearby but it felt very private and we never issues with noise from neighbors (can't speak for how it might be at the height of summer). Easy check in/out process. Communication with Joe & Megan was superb. A true gem and we hope to return soon!

Hands down, this is the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Beautiful home, awesome layout, little extras like chargers for use, private dock to a gorgeous lake. Every single space was well thought out and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to navigate. And the pickleball court was such a fun, unique addition. Will absolutely book again!!

Beautiful home! We came to NC for racing school at Skip Barber. Having a long day at the track, coming back to the lake house was the best feeling. View is amazing on a sunny day! Thong was very accommodating and quick to respond! Will stay again!

Came out to the area for a funeral, Michael’s place was peaceful and relaxing. I felt right at home, kitchen had all the necessary kitchen supplies, nice big fenced in yard for your dog to run around. Very clean. The house is 100+ years old but with the remodeling that was done it feels like a brand new home. Michael was a great host, very responsive. The internet had issues on my last day and Michael knew right away and reached out to see if he wanted me for him to contact spectrum. Would highly recommend if you are looking for something in this area to check out his place. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in the area. Ryan

We had a wonderful stay in this lake home. The home is clean and well appointed. I especially enjoyed the soaking tub to cap off the day. The locals were kind and we found several great restaurants in the area as well. We will definitely be back to the house when it’s warm enough to kayak and explore more of the beautiful area!

Beautiful spot on the lake. For this price point, sometimes the locations can be a bit more "rustic" than fits our taste. This was just right on, very nice, not luxurious, but no weird smells, perfectly clean, comfy bed. Service was excellent. 15 min from VIR.

We had an overall 5 star stay here. The house and area itself is quiet and lovely. The hot tub and wood stove made the space very cozy. The views were amazing! Because there wasn’t much boat traffic or many neighbors around, it was very peaceful and quiet (there is probably more noise in the summer). Nearby uptown Roxboro is fun place to walk around visiting shops, bakeries and restaurants, even though it is small. And even though this is a rural area, it’s easy to get groceries. We also appreciated having soap and toilet paper and tons of board games provided. None of the house quirks bothered us, although in the summer months, being asked to limit laundry after lake activities might be more impactful on our enjoyment. We did have less responsiveness from the host than we are used to. None of our communication was a vital part of our comfort/overall enjoyment, but I do think it’s worth mentioning that since I’d be concerned if there had been a more serious issue to correct.

Myself my boyfriend and my dog stayed and it was amazing. Gorgeous views and lake to walk around. Very clean and organized. Very close to downtown and other activities. We enjoyed our stay and the host kept in contact when we had questions. We would absolutely stay again.

The location is close to Cary Crossroads which has everything you need including dining and shopping. You can walk the lake trail and it’s really nice if you workout or have an active lifestyle. Natalia is very responsive. Overall good experience!

Rob & Susan’s place completely exceeded our expectations. They are exceptional hosts who, you can tell, thought through guests’ every need and fully exceeded them. Their place was spotlessly clean, furnished comfortably in an esthetically pleasing way, had every imaginable amenity and gadget which were fully labeled and easy to find. They showed us around on check-in saying they wanted our stay to be exceptional and it was! One of the many highlights was the delightful, serene screened in porch. It is pure magic. I would stay again in a heartbeat if my journey takes me that way again. Thank you Rob and Susan for superb experience.

I would have left 5 stars but there were a few things that were too noticeable to ignore. First, the laundry room and boathouse were filthy with cobwebs everywhere. The stairs leading down to the laundry room were not lit up at night and very dangerous. The lights that were supposed to light up the side of the house were not working. Was hoping to use the firepit. There was plenty of firewood but no firepit. It was on the side of the house in a rusted mess turned upside down. The Wi-Fi was horrible. The starlink router is at the boathouse and not at the main house. This made watching any TV or using your laptop or tablet virtually impossible because of the constant buffering and loss of signal. WI-FI should have been put at the main house where people spend the majority of their time. There was no toaster. Other than those things the house is very nice, and the view is amazing. This could be alot nicer if there was a lil more work put in it. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Afika’s Beacon House is an art treasure on Lake Cammack. The location is perfectly situated between town and country here in the heart of North Carolina Piedmont. While still under some renovation during our stay, the house was warm and comfortable. All the amenities were complete, and what’s more, our host went out of his way to ensure that we felt welcome and were made comfortable the whole time. Be warned that one ought to be cautious of the wetland landscape alongside the lake, especially off-season. Visitors should bring and use proper footwear while hiking on lakeside city property nearby.

We had a great time paddle boarding the lake and chilling on the screened porch. Went out for drinks to buoys to break up the stay.

We loved our stay at the Mill Cottage. It was the perfect base camp for us as we travelled to Pittsboro and Silk Hope to visit family and attend a funeral. The Hobbs family was extremely friendly and accommodating. We loved the views and sounds of Terrell’s Creek! We hope to return for our next visit with family!

great place if you are the outdoors type. beautiful surroundings, lake is right there you can catch fish right off the dock. very secluded, private and plenty of woods. keep in mind it is North Carolina, and it's not flat ground. so there is a lot of hills, but it was a great stay for me. the host is great, and very responsive if you need anything.

The location is a very peaceful getaway! The house feels just like home!

My daughters and my sister and I had a great time visiting John's place for a quick get away! What a peaceful place to stay. The views were great. The lake so lovely to look at and hang out on the doc. The cabin is bigger than the photos make it appeared. The kitchen is new and very well equipped. AC worked great in 100 degree weather too! We were glad we had a nice SUV to drive down to the doc to take our chairs and rafts to the doc due to the slope and one of our family members needing to have some help down to the water. I enjoyed waking up to deer in the field grazing before starting our day. Lovely time and would love to come back next summer too.
