This was a good stay. Everything was fine, but the place is a bit old. Carpets were dirty and old, and window blinds were outdated. Otherwise fine. I appreciate the snacks they gave us and coffee! It's a good deal for the price and location is about 30 mins from Volcano National park and Mouna Kea.

Dara’s place was amazing! It was very comfortable, peaceful, beautifully surrounded with awesomely colored plants and fruit trees. There were a lot of amenities. The keurig coffee machine was a definite plus as you could enjoy your morning coffee inside looking out to the backyard or at the outdoor table and chairs at the front of the house. Her place was very clean and spacious for myself and my two friends. The living room couch and chair was very comfortable as well. Everything was well organized and not cluttered at all. Very easy to maintain. I’m grateful for the indoor washer and dryer as it allowed me to leave with clean clothes versus having a luggage full of dirty clothes. The ironing board and iron really came in handy as well to press the clothes I needed to wear for the event I was attending. I would highly recommended staying at Dara’s place again! 5 stars and then some for sure!

This place is incredible for staying on the Island. Panoramic view of the ocean. Lots of space and furniture outside to enjoy the entire day on location. The grounds are amazing with something new to see or explore each day. From hammocks surrounding the deck to fire pit sitting area to relax in day and night. The host's manual has complete instructions to make the stay as comfortable as if you were living there. We went to 5 different locations as suggested in the book, so glad we did. There are plenty of bikes and outdoor gear available to use too. Private, but friendly neighborhood allows for walking, biking, and exploring at any time during the day. The stars are beautiful at night and wonderful sunrises in the morning.

Staying here was a truly authentic experience of staying with a local family in their guest house. As a family traveling with a two-year-old and a newborn, we found the accommodations incredibly thoughtful and family-friendly. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making our stay exceptionally comfortable. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling with young children. Additionally, the host provided excellent recommendations that enhanced our trip. This stay was a perfect blend of hospitality, comfort, and local charm!

What a great stay! Nice and private - the ocean view and sunrises were perfect! The porch and outdoor eating spaces were awesome. The house was clean and had everything we could think of that we’d need. And that pool was pretty snazzy, too! Everything was just perfect.

Had a wonderful stay at Tisiphone’s place! We read all of the reviews and agree with them. The house was very clean and well cared for. The house in person is just as pictured. She all the things that you would need around the Island. My kids enjoyed picking fruit in the yard and listening to the frogs at night. There is a fee of $6 to use the washer. We did not have any complaints.

The home looked just like the photos and was a great stay for 6 people! The check in and checkout were easy and the host was great and recommended some local places. Very close to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Great experience!

웬디의 숙소는 아주 평화롭고 개방적인 공간입니다. 사진 보다 더 크고 통유리창은 자연이 바로 우리 옆에 있도록 도와주었어요. 우리 가족은 집 안에 가득한 큰 나무들와 바람과 코키 개구리 소리와 새 소리를 사랑했어요. 햇빛을 받고 움직이는 작은 게코도마뱀도 매우 귀여웠습니다. 특히 정원을 보며 커피를 마시고 해먹에 누워 햇살을 즐기는 베란다를 좋아했습니다. 웬디는 모든 질문에 정확한 안내를 해주었고 이웃에 살고있지만 개인적인 공간을 보장해줍니다. 필터로 정수된 물, 세탁기와 건조기가 있어서 편리해요. 이곳은 힐로 타운에서 20분 걸리는 가까운 거리로 적당히 떨어져있는 진짜 하와이를 만날수 있는 자연친화적인 집입니다. 팬과 개방적 공간으로 인해 바람이 충분해서 에어컨이 필요없어요. 하와이의 자연에 더 가까워지려면 웬디의 집은 정말 좋은 선택입니다. 웬디! 평온한 시간을 선물해줘서 감사합니다.

We really enjoyed staying here. The place is very spacious and well appointed. It worked well as a jumping off point for Puna sight seeing as well as just chilling on the lanai. The beach across the street (one of the only swim friendly beaches in the area) was convenient and the breeze and views from the second floor unit lanai were great. Scott was friendly, provided good recommendations and responded to communication quickly. He’s also quite easygoing and nothing is complicated. The place was close (in between) to the 2018 lava flow sites. Having seen the volcano erupting a few days earlier, it was quite something to see up close the magnitude and power of Pele and how the landscape is actively changing due to volcanic activity. Recommend as a very comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Our stay was clean and easy! Not far Hilo and Volcanoes National Park. The hose was friendly and communicated quickly! Definitely stay here!

Tulpe's place is quiet and a cozy home away from home. Its tucked away at the end of the lane. Clean and has everything you need for a short stay. A great plus is Tulpe's accommodating, vibrant personality that's very welcoming! A great place to stay.

This place is for those who have country in their soul. It is located on a 1 Acre lot in Keaau in what I can best describe as supersized suburbs. The AirBnB is essentially an ADU connected to the main house via a giant lanai. You are not wanting for privacy. You only share the laundry facilities, otherwise, the rental is totally self contained. The outside and inside details are fascinating with appointments from Joy and Mike's many sojourns overseas. We chose this place because of it's proximity to places the family prefers on the East side of the island. Hilo is close enough (20 min) to be convenient but far enough not to be annoying. The best aspect of this place are the hosts. They are the most respectful, helpful, sociable, and friendly folks we've met in our Airbnb'ing experience. Joy is a great cook, baker, gardener, and designer. In Mike I found a kindred spirit. A fellow vet, diy'er, I will forever remember the early morning chats we had, with our cups of coffee

Great locations right next to the beach! The condo was as advertised and we had no issues during our stay. Condo was clean. Would definitely stay there again when in Hilo

Great place, literally paces from a BEAUTIFUL lagoon and beach filled with turtles and fish. Nice quiet road dotted with 4 or 5 beaches/parks, and about a 3 mile drive to the shops/grocery stores to keep the kitchen stocked. Also had a French press so we could enjoy our fresh Kona coffee every day.

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Carrie's place! You wake up to a beautiful view of Hilo Bay. The best part of her place is the quiet and serene setting, but yet you are only a 5 minute drive to downtown Hilo where there are many great restaurants and other things to explore.

Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben. Der Check in unkompliziert und die Aussicht von der Wohnung ist wirklich schön. Einziges Manko ist, dass es recht laut in der Wohnung ist. Selbst bei geschlossenen Fenstern und Türen, hört man die Umgebung noch sehr deutlich und wir sind Großstadtlärm gewöhnt. Aber abgesehen davon war alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit und ich würde die Unterkunft wieder buchen.

Lovely and spacious for my 3 month stay for work. All the amenities that I needed for cooking and cleaning, communal laundry in bldg, good wifi coverage. Safe and walkable to downtown which I loved. Small amount of noise with neighbours and ants/insects which are expected to some degree being in an apt bldg, in the tropics. I would definitely stay there again:)
