This is our second time staying in this apartment. You can read our original review from February of this year for more details, but to reiterate, the location is great, both in terms of the nearby neighbourhoods and the pleasant walking along this stretch of Gabon Street. The apartment is very comfortable, but the real reason we came back is because of our host, Hiwot. She may very well be the kindest and most responsive host on Airbnb. Thank you again, Hiwot.

Hiwot und ihre Familie sind sehr gute, herzliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Sie waren immer lieb und haben stets auf Nachfragen geantwortet/geholfen. Es ist alles basic, die Küchenausstattung eher nur Einzelteile (nach Nachfrage wurden uns Tassen und Teller gegeben), die Mikrowelle war nicht vorhanden. Die maintenance war - wie sehr üblich in Addis - nicht sehr gut, hier und da Kleinigkeiten, die nicht mehr funktionierten/kaputt waren. Im Bad war der Abfluss der Dusche leider verstopft, dies hat sie aber nach Nachfrage sofort selbst behoben. Insgesamt muss man aber sagen, dass es für den fairen Preis wirklich eine gute Unterkunft ist! Sie haben einen generator, der bei Stromausfall Gold wert war. Die Lage sehr zentral, trotzdem im Wohngebiet, in direkter Umgebung kleine shops, wo man gutes Gemüse/Obst etc kaufen kann. Wenn man also Geld sparen will und keinen Luxus braucht, unbedingt dorthin! 😊

Ms. Elleni was the greatest host yet. I am handicapped, in a wheelchair. She proactively saw my needs and made sure her staff and herself attended to my special need. I am not good in writing reviews but I know I enjoyed her home every minute of my stay. The elevator worked at all times. There were three times that the lights were out but in less then a minute the generator was at work. The apartment is extremely spacious, a dream to manoeuvre a wheelchair. It was spotlessly clean and staff were friendly and well trained. I have nothing I can find to criticise or recommend as an improvement. I look forward to my next visit, I will definitely will stay in the conveniently located apartment. Best of luck Ms. Elleni and congratulations for being the perfect host of a great place.

If you have lived in Ethiopia previously this place is great and have all the basic needs. Great location in the center of the city. Kitchen needs larger cook area.. maybe an L shape counter would have given more space.

The apartment is very nice and comfortable! The location is very convenient, near shops and supermarkets. The space was very clean and had all of the necessities. Yeshewaget was very helpful and friendly, she's a super host. We would highly recommend this wonderful apartment.

Our week in Addis Abeba was made unforgettable thanks to this perfect apartment. Situated on the 6th floor, the apartment offered a breathtaking view that amazed us anew each morning. The bright, spacious ambiance made it the perfect retreat for the two of us, with the large living room and the comfy sofa. The kitchen was not just large, but also equipped with everything needed for daily life - a dream for anyone who loves to cook, like us. The bedroom was a quiet oasis for relaxation, complemented by an en suite bathroom that added to our comfort. Furthermore the communication with Ahlam was seamless, and she proved to be a wonderfully attentive host. This apartment was the perfect base for exploring Addis Abeba, while also providing a cozy place to which we loved returning. We highly recommend this place and would definitely book it again on our next visit.
