We had a wonderful time swimming, fishing off the dock (caught a nice sized large mouth bass & panfish) and boating. We enjoyed the paddle board, kayak and screened in porch. We used the fire pit one night before the mosquitoes came out. We didn’t use the hot tub. We rented a pontoon from Brett at Island View Resort. He also sold bait, gas and a map of the lake with tips for fishing the lake. We caught crappies, bass, panfish and northern. The bunkhouse was prefect for our two boys. Our daughter enjoyed the loft room. It was nice that there were 2 fans. The kitchen was well equipped and we liked having a large electric skillet. Didn’t use the washing machine except for washing the towels before we checked out. The beds were comfortable. We also liked the large dining room table -used it to play games in the evening. We’d definitely recommend getting peanut butter twists from Pattens restaurant in Orr. It was a very relaxing vacation. We’d definitely rent it again.

This cabin was wonderful. It fulfilled our needs while we were visiting family in the area. Location on the lake provided some beautiful sunsets. The host was great for communication. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We brought a larger group to stay, and it was absolutely wonderful. Everything we could have hoped for. Really beautiful surroundings, great amenities, and plenty of space for our group. Our group especially enjoyed the kitchen, living room, and hot tub!

The home was so comfy with thoughtful details to make each area of the home just perfect. We loved all the special decor touches. We went to relax and got that for sure. Deer coming into the yard while we were using the outdoor hot tub was an unexpected delight.

This cabin was amazing. It was cozy and well stocked. We went during the coldest months and we found plenty to do. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting by the fire. Definitely would recommend and return. Chad was a great host and checked in on our group!

We had a lot of fun staying at this place. With being in the bay it is very quiet from the rest of the lake. The hot tub is wonderful and cool to see the lake as well. The stairs and deck can be slippery with kids so be careful.

Cute and comfortable stay with lots of storage. Beautiful scenery being right on the lake. Great shopping and restaurants located downtown. The hosts were very nice and had everything anyone would need for a comfortable stay. Please note: The hot tub listed is next door at the hosts home, not at the rental. Overall, a really nice place to stay.

We had a fantastic time at Anne & Daryl's cabin in Ely for our February cross country ski trip. The location is perfect. Only minutes from all the outdoor winter activities anyone could want (hiking, cross country skiing, ice fishing, dogsledding), yet only a couple miles from the amenities in Ely. The cabin is perfect for 3-4 people. We enjoyed looking at the frozen lake in the early morning and evening hours, and watching the deer parade by just a few yards from the cabin! Anne and Daryl were excellent hosts, with accurate and timely communication. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Great cabin — comfortable, clean, quiet. Well-appointed kitchen. Nicely decorated interior. Spacious rec room with a very large screen TV. Easy access to boat dock. Mike, the owner, was staying in another cabin close by, he was extremely helpful and friendly. The cabin itself is in the community of Crane Lake, on the water. It sits in a row of similar cabins. A small store (fisherman-oriented) and couple of bar/restaurants are nearby, easily walkable. We used this as a base for day trips (hiking and canoeing) into Voyageurs NP and the Boundary Waters. You can also walk to and hike the Vermillion Gorge Trail from the cabin — recommended.

We stayed at John's place in the winter, and it exceeded our expectations. The place was clean and well-stocked. Running the log stove and sauna were a must, as they were the only way to stay warm. We saw a wolf and many other wildlife during our stay. Snowshoeing on the nearby lakes were a highlight. The trails marked by Dave were easy to follow, along with the maps they provided. If you are looking for a peaceful trip surrounded by nature, you found the right place! Thanks to John and Dave for being so helpful and responsive.

Perfect place for a quiet, relaxing getaway. Well appointed kitchen with just the right equipment to be able to cook nice meals. Setting was beautiful, we really enjoyed watching the house birds and the changing weather on the water.

We had a wonderful stay at The Hideaway! We drove up from Mississippi for a white Christmas and spent most of our time ice skating on the lake, reading, and playing board games. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation: books, games, puzzles, the lake, even extra dog bags for clean up. My oldest went ice fishing a few times. As an amateur baker, I loved that the kitchen had things like bread pans, a pastry blender, a dough scraper, etc. It made the Christmas and New Year’s baking of delicious breads and desserts much easier. Highly recommend and considering another stay this summer!

The perfect place for a snowmobile weekend with friends! Large, loop around driveway with plenty of large trailer parking. Close to gas station with grocery and the snowmobile trail with just a short drive down a quiet road. Cabin was so charming, super clean, great layout for a group of adults with plenty of space for all the snowmobile gear. They thought of everything with stocked kitchen equipment, linens and were super responsive to any messages. We had such a great experience and lots of trails to ride in the area- will definitely be back!

Our family enjoyed a relaxing getaway and spent time snowshoeing around the property on the trails. Peaceful and quiet space.

Nothing but amazing. Plenty of sheets, towels, etc. Pots and pans along with solverware, and cooking utensils were in great shape. Bonus was the wood stove. Plan to come back again!

Loved everything about this place. Beds were comfortable! My kids enjoyed catching fish right off of the dock, and on the other multiple fishing spots on the lot. It was also nice to have a fishing boat to use. The cabin was adorable. Perfect Minnesota touches with the decor. We came up north to spread Nana’s ashes in Grand Rapids, and we made a vacation out of it. Memories were made here, as Nana would have wanted.

Host was kind enough to cover bag of firewood. Bedding was provided, and so was basic kitchenware. The listing indicated no "essentials" and I didn't realize there were no towels available.

Great communication before, during, and after stay. Helpful recommendations for fishing. The space was as described, perfect for our quick getaway. Close to Grand Rapids with privacy and lots of room to park a boat trailer and the two vehicles we brought with us. We traveled with our dog. Great host!

If willing to make the drive away from all signs of civilization, whether it be for golfing, skiing, camping, roadtripping or otherwise, Jody’s place will always come out on top. The Bear Den Lodge exceeded all expectations, and had so many fun touches throughout the place in addition to its reliable amenities. My party made use of most offerings such as the screened hut, sauna, grill, large backyard, game room, washer/dryer, and the fancy bath tub! There were hardly any issues, the place was pristinely prepared, welcoming to guests and bears (only fake ones), and secluded. The only problem that occurred was a fire alarm being set off by the grilling we did. Due to the location of the grill, it may be more susceptible to triggering the fire alarm. To combat this, we opened a few windows in the front of the house (away from the grill), and turned on all fans and air control units (which were excellently reliable). In short, tremendous place, and I would certainly revisit!

Such a lovely stay in the woods! Secluded and peaceful with plenty of snow to enjoy hikes and fort building. The home was cozy and tastefully decorated. Well stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen—even a crockpot and basic baking ingredients (flour/sugar) and spices. We’ve stayed in Airbnb’s around the world and I didn’t need ANY of the items I always pack to replace the small amount provided (TP, cleaning supplies, trash bags, paper towels, etc)…this really did feel like we were staying in a home. Practically speaking…even in the winter, the fireplace provided AMPLE heat so our kids were running around shirtless. As noted in listing, no laundry or dishwasher so while we knew that going in, it’s worth noting for other travelers to take into account. We comfortably stayed 5 days as a young family of 6 and our daughter cried this morning about leaving. We’d visit again!

Landy's place was a quaint, and rustic cabin in the gorgeous and pristine setting of the Northwoods. We loved waking up to the fog rising from the Lake, and having our morning coffee by the water. Described as expected, with no electricity or running water we packed as if we were tent camping and we felt prepared for our stay. Our family stayed up late by the light of kerosene lamps playing cards. It was a great bonding experience and a welcome get away from wifi and technology. The boat rental was a plus, and locals were very friendly and welcoming to us.
