We can't begin to describe the amazing time we had at Finca. We were fully immersed in the culture of the Costa Rican life! The property is beautiful, birds, chickens, horses, flowers and fruit trees everywhere. Luis was our guide for the week, and he truly loves what he does. He took us line fishing 4 times at the mouth of the Pacific Ocean, and we caught huge snappers and sea bass which Rachael cooked for us. So many monkeys!! Catching crabs for bait was so much fun. Toucans a sloth, parrots, howler monkeys the list is endless. Sleeping was great, we were a little concerned that there was no A/C but the fans kept us cool at night and during the day. We would definitely go back again. Oh, forgot our massages by Sara in the open air, truly incredible.

The stay at Casa Ballena was incredible! I stayed with three small kids and the accommodations were amazing! The queen size bunk beds were a real treat for the kids. The private beach access was amazing with beutiful views and the pool was a great way to refresh at high tide. It felt really safe and secure with 24-hour gated security. The amenities in the unit were great and the kitchen is amazing. I love waking up to the howler monkeys and the rainforest coming alive. You are located near all the best restaurants, and the vibe is on point. It was great working with Linda to book several tours, especially the zip-lining and surf lessons. If you are looking for a place to stay, go no further!

Otroligt fint boende med skogen ända in på huset. Väldigt fint byggt hus med fantastiskt deck och bad och dusch ute. Fina leder runt huset med apor och fåglar. Vi hade otur att något gick sönder i avloppet så huset luktade illa men vi spenderade eftermiddagen på terrassen istället och njöt av omgivningen. Felet avhjälptes av Jessica och hantverkare.

Saballo Lodge is an incredible place, set in beautiful surroundings in the jungle with a river plunge swimming pool, where birds and lizards chill on the rocks next to you, it's own jetty and free boats for kayaking on the river Sierpe, hammock hut and lovely cabins. Fireflies light up the grounds at dusk as you walk to the on site restaurant for dinner. We stayed with a toddler and after a month in CR, this was by far the most beautiful place we stayed. Breakfast is provided and Angelica and Henri were massive helpful with getting tours booked up and sorting everything out, despite our halting Spanish. We went on a mangrove tour, saw crocs, squirrel monkeys and more birds than were in the guidebook. We also went on night tours and saw an Oncilla, Opposum and frogs, as well as crocs on the way to the waterfall. We went canoeing in the river with our daughter and saw monkeys up close. Whilst theres no aircon in the lodges, we didnt need it and were fine with just the fans.

We had an excellent stay. The beds were very comfortable which has been not super common for us in CR. The wifi was great as my husband and I were both working. The host was very kind and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised the bugs were minimal for being so open air. The birds were amazing. The lookout point is beautiful. They were kind and flexible about late checkout for us. The host even took time to take us to the waterfall and natural jacuzzi on the property. He taught us about all the different kinds of trees. Mary was great as well. We hope to make it back to stay here again!

I loved the ocen view when i wake up from bed. Everything was clean inside the house. We enjoyed the stay.

From my 10 year old… It’s nice because you got to be outside a lot. the beach was awsome, a great part was waking up and walking on the beach at sunrise which was so pretty. The macaws were really cool. It’s kinda scary having it being open and know there are animals out there. (We arrived at night which if you can avoid you should, little hard to navigate the roads for the first time at night) Dad - the nature sounds at night when we arrived were intense and I think kiddo was a little nervous but in the morning all of the nervousness went away. This is a very special place, you are the last house on a very sparsely populated beach (you see nobody for most of the day) there are animals everywhere. It’s very exposed to the elements which might be hard for some but once you settle in you tap into a natural energy that exists in all of us and it is beautiful,
