This was a very peaceful place. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The road to the place went from a small dirt road to a two track to get to the property. It was very well cared for and easy to get to. The directions given to the property was easy to follow as well. Inside the house had everything we were looking for. One thing the guests didn’t like was the futon mattress. It was thin and uncomfortable to sleep on but there were air mattresses so that made up for it. We were aware of the sleeping situation prior to booking and didn’t have a problem with it. The furniture was very comfortable. Wi-Fi available. Great cell phone service. Keith was very thorough when it came to communicating with me. Overall a very smooth and pleasant experience booking this wonderful place.

My family had a great time on our ski weekend staying in this lovely and private home. Felt like we were miles away from town but everything we needed was less than 10 minutes away. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing weekend at this cabin! Everything was wonderful—the place was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was perfect—hot and well-maintained, making it a great way to unwind. The peaceful surroundings made our stay even better. Highly recommend this place for a weekend retreat!

We were in the area to ski at Boyne and also needed dog friendly accommodations. The house worked out great for the dog but is probably at the limit for distance to Boyne. Definitely needed the 4x4 vehicles to get around as the snow came down pretty much the entire time we were there. The road is plowed but a low clearance vehicle would definitely have trouble. Only 15 minutes to Gaylord. Worked out great for quick grocery trips! We would definitely stay again!

Our family enjoyed our stay! Plenty of beds and loved the upstairs bedroom for our 4 kids. The hot tub was great and was definitely a deciding factor when choosing this place over others. The kitchen had everything we needed. Bathrooms and kitchen had plenty of soap, towels, paper towel, toilet paper, etc. We utilized the Lakes of the North indoor pool which was nice, clean and warm. It was nice that the pool had lots of life jackets/floaties for sm kids to use so we didn’t have to bring our own. The kiddie pool area was also great for our youngest daughter. We also utilized the association’s winter sports area for outdoor ice skating and snow shoeing. They also rent cross country skis. Definitely agree with the owner’s recommendation of 4 wheel drive in the winter if there is a lot of snow, as there was for us. Also recommend parking at the top of the driveway if there is a lot of snow as we did get a little stuck even with 4W drive. All roads nicely plowed! Great overall stay!

Fran’s listing was very clean, and fit all of our needs. Lots of extra blankets, had really nice warmers in the bedrooms downstairs… very clean. I asked a lot of questions, and Fran was so quick to respond every time. Incredibly hospitable. She is the best host I’ve worked with yet. Thank you so much for hosting our family/group for a wonderful ski weekend… we will be back !

We really had a great time at the Lodge! My friends and I do a yearly trip to Gaylord/Atlanta and I suspect we will rent this place again!

We were looking for a winter get away and this was THE best! Although Gaylord has received record snowfall this year, the directions and roads were accessible and easy. Groceries, restaurants and activities all accessible. It was great to come back to the cozy cabin and relax in the hot tub after a busy day out in the snow! The pool table and games were a nice addition as well. We took in hiking, X-C skiing, and a horse drawn sleigh ride at Cooks Farm down the road (highly recommend this family farm activity-they were great!). It snowed every day and we woke up to over 10" of snow the day we left. Dorene and John happily volunteered to dig us out if needed but we got out just fine and roads had been plowed several times during the night. Dorene and John were very accomodating with early check-in, info on area activities and local eats. The cabin was clean, welcoming, well-equipped, and handbooks to answer any questions. Would like to come back in the summer!

We normally don’t stay in one of the big cabins, but it was perfect. We had plenty of space and really enjoyed going snowmobiling with the 3 foot of snow. Always enjoy coming up here. Thank you again.

Our family had a wonderful time at Wendy’s cabin. The yard was so peaceful, great sitting places and we enjoyed a bonfire every night. Such a beautiful, clean, and peaceful cabin. Beds were so comfortable and whole cabin was so clean. Close drive to everything downtown.

Really enjoyed our stay. Quiet cute neighborhood, great location, lots to see and do and explore. I will be back.

Great place to stay if you are looking to ski Boyne or enjoy the outdoors near Gaylord. Great little downtown area close by. Place is right on a little lake and was a bit rustic, but perfect for a small family!!! Owner was very responsive every day that we were there!

A great space close to the rally race for sno drift! Clean, spacious, and we appreciate the garage! Our second time here and our crew loved it! Thanks again!
