I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The place was spotless, quiet, private, picturesque, nicely decorated, and had just the perfect amount of amenities. I would highly recommend for a no-hassle, easy, aesthetically-pleasing stay!

The house is directly positioned at the sound and you can enjoy beautiful views from the living room/kitchen on the sound. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets sitting on the wooden furniture of the deck glazing into the sun setting. The house is clean with a very well equipped kitchen. There are eight beds, but I would not recommend to stay there with eight people (max. 6 adults). 3 bathrooms/toilet are a great asset. Communication with the host MacKenzie was quick, to the point, helpful and very friendly. We felt sad to leave and I can only recommend the place.

We've stayed here multiple times because it is such a beautiful and cozy home. The decor is tasteful and homey. The amenities are so thoughtful. It's our favorite home in Kill Devil Hills.

We loved our stay in Hatteras at the Isle Be Back! James was a great host - communicated well - both proactive and responsive. The listing was very consistent with our experience. We utilized the kayaks and one of the bikes, as well as the sand toys. It was wonderful for my kiddos to have an indoor, heated pool (which was very secure to keep them safe when we weren’t swimming). Great location. Very close to a few great beaches and the ferry docks. We would love to come back!

Without a doubt one of the best places we have stayed in. Alan was easy to communicate with and super responsive . The house was beautiful and in a peaceful area. Neighbors were wonderful. Kitchen was easy to cook meals in and had everything we needed. Beds were clean and comfortable, showers were hot and towels were fluffy! The sound was a walk down the driveway and had great sunsets. Beach access was less than a 8 minute drive. Beach towels and all things you need were available. Pool was perfect and clean. The canal at the back of the house was great and lots of wildlife to hang out with. We would without a doubt come back again!! Just loved this place so much!! Thank you Alan for making our vacation so stress free and enjoyable!!

Jim and Marsha's home is beautiful, clean, peaceful and the perfect location, with a beautiful backyard overlooking the water. The hot tub was a wonderful plus and the doggies and us could not have been more pleased with our stay. Buxton has a special place in our hearts and their home met all our needs and desires. I would definitely recommend their home for your vacation needs. I am hoping we can go back soon.

Amanda was extremely helpful and very kind. My fiancé and I had a great time there and honestly would go again if ever needed!

We loved everything about Kristen's place. It was absolutely pristine and gorgeous inside. It was decorated beautifully and tastefully. We loved the deck, the dock and the surrounding area. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen and cooked all of our meals in the kitchen. I read a book and we played cards and games. We loved the hot tub and found it relaxing especially with the lights. The area was beautiful, but it also felt very secluded. My daughter kayaked the canal, and we went for family walks along the beach at sunrise and sunset every night and saw dolphins. We saw evidence of horses, but did not see them in the yard, during the time of year that we went. However, we did see them just east of the Carova Beach Fire Department. I am a bird and nature lover, so I spend a lot of time on the dock and on the deck listening for all of the diverse and beautiful bird sounds, watching the oprey nest and enjoying the blue heron that frequented the canal. We can't wait to come back.

When we arrived to the pirate house the kids immediately started working on the scavenger hunt! They loved it. House was just as it was in the pictures. Very clean and well decorated. The neighbors were very friendly and the kids enjoyed kayaking. During our stay the dryer stopped working and it was replaced within 24 hours with a new unit. It was nice to be in the gated community and have shops and the beach all in a 10 minute drive. Hands down will stay here again!!!

My wife and I stayed with our two kids and my parents (and their dog) and had a great time! The house is cozy but comfortable for 6, with a good amount of living space including a very nice sunroom. Amy was friendly and helpful in our communications and proactive at checking how things were going, and helped ensure we had a nice stay the whole time. Staying on the sound was beautiful, especially the sunsets. The house is right on a great multiuse path which is perfect for walking or biking to the nearby coffee shop or for exercise. Grocery stores and restaurants are close too, as are destinations like Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers memorial. Two little things that made me happy were walking past the Muscadine vine in the front yard, and the color of the mailbox: a light blue which made it unique and easy to find when driving down an unfamiliar street. If your group is the right size for it, Safe and Sound is a great place to stay, and Amy is an excellent host!

Our second visit in three months, my husband and I returned to the Best Box for a longer stay between Christmas and New Year’s. Five nights was perfect and let us forget all our troubles. Amanda has thought of everything you could need. Even some lovely Christmas decorations that blended it beautifully with the rest of the interior design. Amanda is a super host - so thoughtful and responsive and wants to make sure you get the most out of your time at the house. Whether you want to be active on the water or chill out with incredible views, this is the perfect home to do everything and nothing. We can’t wait to come back to this very special place.

Randy is a great host. I found the house very clean when I first got there and he had everything anyone would need for a beach vacation. I would definitely be going back next year.

Can’t wait to come back to “Just Enough” Such a great stay…. Kayaks, restaurants, the lighthouse, and so many more things to do outside. Thank you so much for hosting us; the dogs and I had such a great time!

Perfect weekend getaway for my boyfriend and I! The house was in great condition, had a full functioning kitchen, and can’t beat the Hot tub :). All of the tv’s were smart tv’s so of course we watched Outer Banks on Netflix☺️. This house was right off the main road and very close to food, the beach, activities, and shopping. Also a good middle location to get to other towns in OBX. The host’s guidebook was also a great resource and we had some fresh amazing food. Our top recommendation is NC Coast Grill and Bar. 🦪 Check in and check out was a quick and easy process and the host is very responsive to our messages. We’d highly recommend it here to anyone coming to visit! 🥰

We totally understand and agree with Tanya being listed as a Super Host with 5+Stars! From making the reservation until checkout, Tanya made certain that we had absolutely everything we could possibly need for our stay, from extra toiletries, beach towels, sunscreen and even a sewing kit! She is responsive to messages, provides tips and suggestions on trips, places to visit and local restaurants! The house is pristine yet feels like home! We will definitely be making many more trips and this will be our “ home away from home!”

What a beautiful place to stay. Theresa took a chance on renting to us young people and boy am I glad she did. what peaceful mornings watching the sunrise on the dock. Was a lovely place to have our dog. the kitchen was all setup for making wonderful dinners. A town and beach only 30 minutes away gave us plenty to do. Our 6 month old puppy loved the beach... I am so grateful to our host. This space is 1000% worth the money. The host makes it even better handling everything with grace and class.
