I had a great stay here. Would recommend and will be back. VERY clean, even the outdoor spaces. Linens were very nice, felt great to crawl into at end of day after beach combing. Plush blankets for coziness were really nice and soft, great while lounging on comfortable living room sofa set. Loved sitting out on the deck and enjoying the water view, great sunsets. Laundry in basement was such a nice convenience and host leaves out some pods and sheets for you. Plenty of dishes and cookware in kitchen, had more than enough and I used a lot. Just ran 'em through dishwasher before the end of my stay. Refrigerator is new, fancy. Fridge and freezer temp adjustable by push button feature. Thermostat was easy to control/worked well. Neighbors to right are residents, and they are very friendly. Parking convenient in driveway carport and turnaround makes it convenient. Slight street noise, but nothing that won't melt away as you relax. TV in main is massive and worked well. Love the town. 👍🐕❤️

me and my fiancé had an amazing time here the neighborhood is great nice and quiet. There are tons of places to go and great restaurants very close by. Sadly we couldn't enjoy all the amenities not due to the lack of access but due to the amount we were just having so much fun we couldn't get to everything.

Wonderful place to stay!

My dog and I spent a relaxing week at Lidia's place. The house was clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the swing in the fenced-in backyard while my dog lounged in the sun. Looking forward to a return trip!

The house is directly positioned at the sound and you can enjoy beautiful views from the living room/kitchen on the sound. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets sitting on the wooden furniture of the deck glazing into the sun setting. The house is clean with a very well equipped kitchen. There are eight beds, but I would not recommend to stay there with eight people (max. 6 adults). 3 bathrooms/toilet are a great asset. Communication with the host MacKenzie was quick, to the point, helpful and very friendly. We felt sad to leave and I can only recommend the place.

We enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and exactly as described. The host was very responsive to messages as well. The house is a short walk to the sound, a cute little public access gazebo, and a walking trail. We would definitely stay here again!

Attention to detail in this property. Great location. Beautiful sound front property with wonderful outdoor amenities. My husband and I kayaked in the sound behind the house and met the oyster farmer that is close by. The local restaurants are great and we were able to ride our bike to them. The decor was very cute. Outside shower was convenient.

We had our honeymoon here and loved it!

Really enjoyed the condo it was a perfect base camp for a variety of activities in the OBX. There was a well stocked kitchen which was great as we did a lot of home meals. The condo was nicely decorated, and the beds were super comfy! James was easy to contact and communicated back quickly if asked a question. Was a great stay.

Thomas was so helpful and flexible to accommodate changes to our schedule at the last minute. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen remarkably well equipped! Loved the view from the balcony over the water and up to the stars.

Mary and Larry’s house was absolutely amazing and comfortable. We have two small children and they both loved our stay there and they didn’t want to leave! Their place is so beautiful and easy walk to the beach and swimming pool. They have all the beach equipments and toys ready for us to use and the huge inflatable duck float was definitely a big hit for our kids. Thank you so much again for your kindness and hospitality, Mary and Larry! It was nice meeting you. We will definitely come back and stay at their place again!

We had another peaceful, beautiful stay with Alice! Alice is a warm, lovely host and we will always stay with her when we are in Elizabeth City. The apt and the scenery are beautiful.

Second time staying here, it was great. Isaac is a good host, very friendly and accommodating.

My family and I felt right at home in this cozy cottage. Great location, loved the privacy and porch. The beds slept great, nice liens and kitchen was equipped great to cook with. We will be back. Jennifer was fast and informative the entire time. Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with our family.

Communication was excellent. Maria’s place was the perfect size for my daughter and I. Being surrounded by Maria’s art was just such a delight. My only recommendation is the common area needs furniture/rugs to be cleaned or replaced. They are really looking run down and quite dirty. Everything else was spotless.

My wife and I stayed with our two kids and my parents (and their dog) and had a great time! The house is cozy but comfortable for 6, with a good amount of living space including a very nice sunroom. Amy was friendly and helpful in our communications and proactive at checking how things were going, and helped ensure we had a nice stay the whole time. Staying on the sound was beautiful, especially the sunsets. The house is right on a great multiuse path which is perfect for walking or biking to the nearby coffee shop or for exercise. Grocery stores and restaurants are close too, as are destinations like Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers memorial. Two little things that made me happy were walking past the Muscadine vine in the front yard, and the color of the mailbox: a light blue which made it unique and easy to find when driving down an unfamiliar street. If your group is the right size for it, Safe and Sound is a great place to stay, and Amy is an excellent host!

We really enjoyed our stay the beach was walking distance and we got to enjoy the hot tub will come again in the future and do recommend anyone to stay here beautiful house peaceful place and host was very kind and informative.

Our second visit in three months, my husband and I returned to the Best Box for a longer stay between Christmas and New Year’s. Five nights was perfect and let us forget all our troubles. Amanda has thought of everything you could need. Even some lovely Christmas decorations that blended it beautifully with the rest of the interior design. Amanda is a super host - so thoughtful and responsive and wants to make sure you get the most out of your time at the house. Whether you want to be active on the water or chill out with incredible views, this is the perfect home to do everything and nothing. We can’t wait to come back to this very special place.

We had an amazing stay at OBX Sharp Stays! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hosts were incredibly responsive and thoughtful—check-in was a breeze and they made sure we felt welcome from the start. The location was perfect: close to the beach, restaurants, and local attractions, but still quiet and peaceful. We especially loved the outdoor space and all the little touches that made it feel like home. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting the Outer Banks—we’ll definitely be back!

We had a great stay at Michelle’s place! The house was spacious and had a great layout for our family. There was plenty of room on the large sofa, and we loved dining on the screened in porch. The house is in a great location with easy access to the grocery store and plenty of restaurants. We rented bikes and the kids loved biking to the pool and around the large neighborhood. The beach was a little bit of a walk but was definitely doable especially with a wagon to haul our things. The house is also a short drive to a great sound side beach. Michelle was very responsive and clear with communication. When we had an issue with the WiFi she resolved it right away. Check in was also a breeze. Between the beach, pool, paddle boarding on the sound, reading on the porch, board games, and surf lessons for the kids (Endless Summer Surf OBX) we had a fabulous week! We would definitely choose Michelle’s place for our Avon vacation again!
