The area sustained 2 Hurricanes in the previous 3 months. The home was in surprisingly good shape. The home was well furnished throughout and pleasantly decorated. The exterior of the home needs some work, but did not affect our stay. The area is awash with no-see-ums. We all were constantly getting bit despite bug spray. There are 4 good double kayaks, paddles and life vests. There were not back rests for all 8 pisitions. The back rests that were present were not very good. There is room on the property for a sizeable camper with hookup (main reason we chose this spot). Weeki Watchee State park is near by. We spent probably close to 10 hours over 4 days (all combined during our 7 day stay) and only saw Manatees on one day. All in all, we had a really nice time. I honestly don't know if we'd stay in this immediate area again (mostly do to the no see ums). The hosts are very pleasant and responsive.

We had a wonderful stay with our 3 kids. We felt right at home and enjoyed swimming in the pool every day, watching the sun rises, and fishing by the water. We were close to many great beaches and restaurants and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including snacks on arrival, extra toiletries etc, games for the kids, fishing rods, coffee and tea, and even an extra curling iron and straightener, to name a few. The hosts were responsive and provided all the info we needed. When we couldn’t figure out the AC Cindie offered to come right away to help, but luckily she gave me a call and we got it sorted quickly. Thank you for your hospitality, we would love to come back again!

This listing checked off every want and need! Peaceful location Responsive and kind host Super clean Amazing water pressure and temperature in the shower which we all know is a must. Great coffee selection Spacious rooms A porch to spend the morning watching the birds on the water I wish we could stay here every time we traveled. We felt right at home!

Such a cute spot and a quick kayak ride to the beautiful clear weeki Wachee river. Couldn’t find the washer and dryer and Derick responded very quickly. Would def stay again :)

This is such a gem. The location on the river is perfect to get to Roger’s Park via kayak or walking. If you choose to launch the kayaks, which I would recommend highly, the set up is really easy—even for the biggest one and Kevin has everything you need. We paddled up river and saw an otter and two manatees and then floated back. The house is spacious and has plenty of room for a group. My kids were in the heated pool every day and had an absolute blast. There is a big table right by the pool that is great for meals. We will definitely be back.

We booked our vacation as a bucket list trip for my mom who has Alzheimer’s . My mom grew up in Orlando and had visited Weeki Wachee (where mermaids swim) when she was young. This fueled her obsession of being a mermaid when she grew up. We decided as a family that this was the time to make my 72 year old mom’s dream come true. Jennifer’s place is about 10 minutes from Weeki Wachee which is what initially caught my eye. The place was absolutely beautiful! It sits on the canal where we drank coffee and wine and watched boats and kayaks go up and down the canal. We also were able to see beautiful birds of all kind every morning and evening. There is plenty of chairs to sit inside and out to watch all the coming and going on the canal. Plus there a pool and a sandy beach in the back yard. But most of all we were able to check off one of my mom’s bucket list items and make some lasting memories with her in a beautiful resort like setting.

The house was lovely, clean and comfortable. I could cook all day in the kitchen with that view. Brought our bikes and rode to town to shop and eat. Great location. Joey was very responsive and helpful and Incredibly accommodating. We enjoyed all the amenities. Thanks Joey for everything!

Fantastic place! Love that it’s on a dead end, right on the water and plenty of things to do in the area. Erik greeted us when we arrived, also we appreciate his flexibility at check in. He recommended a local butcher and we took advantage of the grill on our last evening. The place was just perfect for our pups with a fenced in yard to let them roam freely. I enjoyed coffee on the deck most mornings. We will be looking to book this place next year for our annual hockey tournament trip. Thanks again Erik! We will be in touch for next year!!

Cascade was a wonderful host. We felt right a home with the kitty cat's welcome and the chicken coop providing fresh eggs in the morning. Cascade was very accomodating and felt very comfortable in her quaint, funky accomodations.

Maikel’s place is in a very safe area. No worries at all. Near a nice park with a great walking path. Perfect for Steinbrenner Field & Raymond James Stadium.

Loved the place! Awesome host! Great get away for the weekend. Nice scenery, loved the tropical plants surroundings. Very peaceful and scerien. Located literally in the center of every place you'd like to visit. The convenience is a plus! Minutes from the airport. Did I mention awesome host! Would definitely book again and again!

Had a great stay here ! There is lots to do in the area and local to plenty of beaches. Has many great kitchen amenities and a huge closet if you are traveling…. I would definitely recommend

Would highly recommend for anyone else looking for a beautiful spot in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood that's very central and close to downtown. We had an absolutely PERFECT wedding week.

Our stay was great. The location and view was just what we had hoped for. Loved watching the birds and other wildlife in the canal. The dock was an excellent place to relax.

We had a wonderful stay by Crescent Lake visiting friends. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

We really enjoyed our stay in Mark’s place. It’s a lovely setting by a small lake. Mark was very kind and accommodating. If we had any questions, he was quick to respond. The place suited our needs very well!

We had an amazing 3 days at Sally's place! The house was clean and comfortable and we especially loved the use of kayaks right off the dock. We saw manatees right off the dock two of the days that we were there! We kayaked upstream toward the state park and downstream toward Rogers park every day. Sally recommended bug spray and that is for sure important! We cooked out one night on the charcoal grill, but there are also great restaurants nearby. It's a quick trip to the main road with all the stores you'll need. Sally was very communicative and responded right away to any questions that I had. We would stay here again!

Whether sitting on the front porch/patio or on the private dock, nature’s sights and sounds served up a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. If you got away in a car, access to beaches, other nature areas, restaurants and shopping areas too were all easily accessible.

We had a great stay! We loved the view and loved feeding the baby goats and cows! We came for a trip to check out the Weeki Wachi springs and it was about 20 minutes away, so very close. The cabin was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed. Brandy was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend!

This was our second stay at this cottage and we are already looking forward to booking again! My husband and I appreciate the attention to detail with every aspect of our stay. Kristen is a fantastic host. We didn’t have to bother her during our stay because the cottage is stocked with everything we needed. Another awesome stay.

The home is in the perfect location for this area. It is exactly as described and had all we needed. Back yard is small but enough room to sit by canal and enjoy the outdoors. Hope to go back soon.

We enjoyed our stay and the dogs loved the fenced yard and the friendly hoses. Very peaceful and relaxing setting. Host left us some fresh eggs and we had everything we needed for a great stay.

We can’t say enough about how great Krista’s listing is…the home was perfectly laid out, clean, modern, and so many small details that made our stay easy, fun, and relaxing. We didn’t bring our kids, but noticed how kid-friendly the home was with so many thoughtful additions like a high chair, pack n play, toys, and swings. I want to find an excuse to come back to stay again!
