the positive: the space is in the middle of the town. next to the lake within a three minute walk. the town is not a tourist destination but offers and experience of what life is like for the residents. Parking above the stairs is safe and cheap. I liked the location and the hotel but you must understand that it isn't luxurious. it is fine for travelers who are used to staying in a location for a day or two. Everything but restaurants closes by 7pm. Internet was fine. Everyone is nice and helpful in the town if you have questions or need suggestions. the negative: noisy if you do not like noise. Not because of parties or music or cars but due to animals since it is a small town. Water in shower is freezing. Alot of stairs and hills to drive or walk to get around the town. I don't mind but you might.

Das Aura Appartment ist wunderschön. Der Ausblick ist noch viel schöner als auf den Bildern! Wir hatten auch sehr viel Freude an der schwarzen Hauskatze, die uns jeden Morgen besuchte. Der Kontakt mit Aisha war immer super freundlich, schnell und hilfreich! Dass die Unterkunft auf so einem steilen Berg liegt und man gut zu Fuß sein muss sollte einem zwar bewusst sein, ist aber durch das Nehmen von TukTuks ganz einfach zu umgehen. Wir würden immer wieder herkommen!

Phyllis is a wonderful host. She and Blaine have an absolutely gorgeous property; the pictures don't do it justice. We actually booked a different part of the property now and plan to stay much longer if we can! We love it here. It's a perfect distance from town so it's quiet and secluded, but still close enough so that walking is great. Would highly recommend this place. The wifi is great. Lovely cozy space. Stunning Views. We adored our time here! Annika was amazing - so helpful and always responsive. Anything you need including cleaning she would arrange. The apartment is in a perfect location within a gated and private courtyard that’s super green and lush. There are also at least 5 super friendly cats there! It made it really feel like home. It was a great set up for as digital nomads and staying right next to a great cafe. Also water delivery is included which is such a nice touch. Thank you and we can’t wait to stay here again!

Céntrico, acogedor, buena vista

Lo mejor del apartamento, es la vista del lago, esta ubicado en el 10mo. nivel, las fotos de la página son reales, muy buena ubicación, tiene parqueo, acceso a la piscina, Jacuzzi y la playa del hotel. Cerca de la Reserva de Atitlan y de otros hoteles que brindan el servicio de Restaurante, el pueblo Panajachel esta a 5 minutos en vehiculo. Glenda atendío nuestro requerimiento, fácil check in y check out.

Really enjoyed my short stay in San Pedro. The place was in a good location slightly away from the noisiest parts of town but only a 2 min walk away from everything. Hosts were very responsive and helpful, offering local suggestions for drivers, tours, cafes. Thanks for a great stay.

We enjoyed the comfortable and unique apartment. The kitchen was well equipped. The only downside was barking dogs at night. Bring earplugs and you'll be fine.

I felt immediately at home in Tzanabaj! Nico and Venus are great hosts and I loved my studio! right by the lake, peaceful, while also close to the city center (10 min tuk tuk), where the restaurants and supermarkets can be found. There is also a beautiful community living in the other houses, so you can have your privacy and socialise with other like-minded people if you want. Totally recommend!

We had a great stay at Maria's! Both Maria and Rudy were super responsive and helpful throughout our stay and the check-in/out process was smooth. It was a great home base for exploring Pana and other towns around the Lake, and the view was amazing! The location was good for our family (2 adults, 1 toddler) -- a little outside of the bustle of town but easily accessible by tuk-tuk (we never waited more than 5 minutes for a pick-up, and the ride into town was less than 10 minutes). Our daughter loved the pool and playing on the grounds - it was so nice to have a safe, grassy place for her to run around! The apartment building is right next to the nature preserve, which is lovely and a great activity with kids. There's a restaurant on-site which was helpful when we didn't feel like cooking or heading into town -- we also ate at a couple of the hotels nearby (a short walk from Maria's) once or twice which was very convenient.

The suite was situated up the hill from the main town so therefore the view was absolutely stellar. It was bright, open and clean and Hodges was very responsive when we had questions. It's possible to take a TukTuk up and down the road from the main town, or you can choose to hike the stairs. We just used the TukTuk when we arrived and left, due to our luggage, but did the stairs every other day just like the locals. We looked at it as great exercise that offset our chill time in the great coffee shops and restaurants. There are no window coverings, so its essential to bring an eye mask for the light and earplugs for the dogs and roosters at night. The suite is up in the locals part of town, so although there a lot of dogs in Guatemala, there are more in the locals area, along with, chickens and roosters. This is authentic Guatemala, and the locals and super friendly. They also appreciate your greetings (hola, buenos dias... etc) when passing by.

Un lugar muy bonito, una vista preciosa! el lugar es muy cómodo, bien equipado en general. Sobre todo la cocina, tenía de todo. Las camas cómodas y los baños limpios y amplios. el jacuzzi funciona muy bien. En general un lugar muy agradable para descansar y pasar un buen descanso. Lo recomiendo! La atención de Juan muy buena, siempre pendiente de todo y llegaba inmediatamente en el caso de alguna duda o problema.

Beautiful location close to the Santa Cruz pier. A short tuk tuk ride away from the village. Easy spot to go exploring and enjoy the lake. Private pier and pool were great amenities. Only downside was after the second night our hot tub didn't get hot enough by the early evening when we wanted to use it.
