La casa muy amplia, con muchos ambientes para que, aunque hayan muchas personas, cada quien puede tener su espacio.Tiene todo lo necesario. El jardín hermoso así como la salida al lago. Muy cerca de Santiago que también la calle principal muy bonita. Don Eduardo muy amable nos apoyó muchísimo. Seguramente volveremos, muchas gracias por todo.

Michael’s casa is truly a large and beautiful home, tastefully decorated and full of art and collectables. The seating areas were comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need for a long-term stay. The most amazing part was the stellar view from the upper balcony. What a beautiful place for morning coffee and afternoon reading. The house is located in the middle of Jaibalito. This offers a unique opportunity to experience village life with all its sounds and character.

I’ve been coming to Guatemala since I was a child, as my family is from here. But in all the years that we’ve been coming, this has been the best experience we’ve had. The home was clean, beautiful, tranquil, and spacious. Our host, Maria, was so amazing and very informative. Yohanna the housekeeper was also amazing! I will be sure to book this home again for when I come back to Guatemala!

A great, unique home with amazing views

Beautiful place with an amazing view. The host was great, we even got a local chef to the house to cook us an authentic Guatemalan meal which was by far the best meal we had on our trip. Highly recommend this place.

Our stay at Casa Eggedal was a wonderful, peaceful retreat. The surroundings are extraordinarily beautiful, with gorgeous gardens. The house is well designed for enjoying the scenery and for relaxing. The kitchen has more dishes and cooking pots/pans than I have at home. Deedle was very responsive and friendly. We loved relaxing in the pool and exploring the areas around the lake. As noted in other reviews, there are LOTS of stairs on the property, so be sure you’re up for that. We loved it and would definitely recommend a stay.

Beautiful house, great view. Watch the volcanos and lake all day from the patio and pool! Demetrio was a ray of sunshine upon arrival and so helpful throughout the stay. We didn’t need anything but he’d have the gate open for us, would check in as he walked by. Bed was comfy! Went to local market for veggies, meat and tortillas for the stay - had tacos from a local vendor! Hiked at the near by national park that’s a perfect day trip. It’s a great base of operations for this area to venture out or stay and relax with the view we did both!

We were two families sharing this beautiful space - we loved it so much! Excellent location (right across from the pier and close to some simple shops for basic groceries), unique and fun little hobbit-like cabins, the pool was so warm and inviting at all hours of the day, the kitchen had everything we needed. Miguel and his family were so kind and helpful, not just with things on the property but also with arranging transportation for different day trips we did. They live on the property and we appreciated their care the whole time. The one downside was that we didn’t stay longer! A memorable trip!

Had a fantastic time staying here. It’s like having your own private resort. Ghada was very responsive and helped us find private cooks and boat taxi charters, it was a week of heaven. Would stay here again.

This place was beautiful. The peaceful environment and the AMAZING view were definitely worth it. Everything was as described and more. We really enjoyed out time here and would definitely love to be back. the kids had a great time at the pool, the lake and around the house. a beautiful place to rest, enjoy and to reset. We recommend this place.

loved my stay! The place matched its description perfectly. The sunrise and sunset views from the bed were stunning, offering both privacy and convenience. It was just a 3-minute walk to the public ferry and surrounded by restaurants. The staff was helpful, and the in-room massage and private jacuzzi access were top-notch. I had a rooftop massage at sunset, and the view was breathtaking. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again!

Little slice of heaven. The house was exactly as listed. Even more beautiful in real life. It was so peaceful. It is just far enough away from town to be tranquil. But can still get to things very quickly with a short walk. The stairs and climb to the house are as described. Definitely be mindful if you plan to head in and out often. Markus was an incredible host. Very responsive. Gave great suggestions and local recommendations. He helped us with all the house information. He was a joy to talk to and it was fun learning about him and his life. Dogs were adorable and loved seeing Kira’s tricks. View was one of the best things about the house. You will not be disappointed. It was so nice to sit out & just enjoy the weather. Cold pool and hot tub were a treat. The gardens were stunning. Blown away by all the beautiful plants! We did see spiders & scorpions as mentioned in Hollie’s description. Was good to know they were harmless. We absolutely loved our time here & will stay again

The villa had absolutely stunning views!! The walk there was manageable and well worth it! The access to the lake was also a bonus. Isabeau and Sergio (and the rest of the staff) were helpful, kind, and responsive. Very unique and memorable stay!

Everything was amazing! One thing to note is that there are 300 stairs down from the road, so be prepared for that. The caretaker, René, is super helpful with helping get your luggage up and down and is very responsive to requests and needs. Would certainly recommend this place.

Amazing stay! The lake is gorgeous—one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The property is locally owned, and the hosts are helpful and communicative. Speaking Spanish or using Google Translate will make things easier. Mornings are especially magical when the lake is calm. You can kayak on the serene water or relax in the Jacuzzi for an additional fee. If you need to go into town, you can easily hire a taxi driver by the hour. The space is stunningly clean, peaceful, and perfect for relaxation. Highly recommend!

Tres Tortugas is an incredible property, astoundingly beautiful, and worth the challenge of getting there on the unpaved road leading to the house. Alex helped us get a driver to bring us there and we are happy we didn't drive there ourselves. We were coming from Antigua and did our supermarket shopping there so we didn't drive off the property at all until we the end of our stay. Staff lives on the property and helped us bring our luggage in when we arrived. The pictures don't fully capture its beauty. The views are spectacular, the property grounds lush and really well-maintained, with lake access down quite a few stairs directly to Lake Atitlan and a private dock. Alex helped us arrange private boats to ferry us for day trips to other towns along the lake. All in all a truly special experience.
