Wonderful... Family Christmas vacation was wonderful for my family and elderly parents. Olga was thorough with instructions. House was CLEAN, spacious, and beautiful. Kitchen fully equipped for finishing Christmas dinner. This was my family's first vacation away from home at Christmas and everyone wants to return next year. Thank you Olga!

Without a doubt one of the best places we have stayed in. Alan was easy to communicate with and super responsive . The house was beautiful and in a peaceful area. Neighbors were wonderful. Kitchen was easy to cook meals in and had everything we needed. Beds were clean and comfortable, showers were hot and towels were fluffy! The sound was a walk down the driveway and had great sunsets. Beach access was less than a 8 minute drive. Beach towels and all things you need were available. Pool was perfect and clean. The canal at the back of the house was great and lots of wildlife to hang out with. We would without a doubt come back again!! Just loved this place so much!! Thank you Alan for making our vacation so stress free and enjoyable!!

Our stay at Maureen's was amazing!! She was very helpful in offering nice places to see during our stay! She was also helpful in leaving labels on cabinets in the house so we could find items! This was a great experience and we had a fun time!

I highly recommend this place to any solo adventurers or couples looking for an amazing, quaint town to escape too. New Bern is a diamond in the rough, and Leslie’s backyard cottage is the most suitable accommodation for adventuring downtown, playing disc golf locally, or doing other outdoors stuff; Walkable to downtown, surprisingly spacious interior, amenities like coffee maker, fridge and microwave, and spotless bathroom area. We’ve been coming here for a weekend for two years straight in December and will be booking for next year as well.

The location was perfect for our trip. We travel with our dog. We needed a pet friendly place and this was perfect. Everything we needed was there to be able to cook and rest from being out shopping and fishing. The property appears to be 30 to 40 years old and a good bit of repairs and or updates are underway. Typical for a costal property. Appliances in kitchen are updated. View of water is un obstructed. The dock/pier is solid and comfortable to walk on and fish from. We enjoyed having the grassy yard for our dog to enjoy. Very quiet places during our Thanksgiving stay. We would book again if it is available and look forward to it.

Tony and Jeanne were wonderful, responsive hosts and their house was perfect! It was beautifully decorated, with comfortable furniture and an amazingly well stocked kitchen! The view from the back porch across the water was so peaceful. Check in was easy and the location was just right. We visited the area to see the swans and snow geese as they gather in their wintering location and were treated to quite a display! Thousands of birds at Lake Mattamuskeet and Pungo Lake! We would love to come again and stay in this house, in warmer weather or cold! Well worth the trip! Thank you Tony and Jeanne!

Management company was very responsive and communicative. Beautiful and quiet location. Townhouse is spacious and lovely. The outdoor spaces were fantastic. The property, pool and amenities are dated, but given New Bern area it’s expected and we didn’t mind a bit. Perfect for our family. We will be back!

Die Unterkunft zeichnete sich durch großen Geschmack und sehr durchdachte Einrichtung aus. Das Bett war sehr gut und der morgendliche Blick auf das Wasser himmlisch. Ich würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

I absolutely loved Van-Dee’s beautiful home. It was right on the water and had a private entrance to the home. Van Dee prepared the home with small things like coffee creamer and such that you would have forgotten. Overall a great place to get away with an awesome host. I look forward to returning to the place again.
