The Rocketta House is an interesting place to stay if you are looking to spend some time in a typical "centro storico" area. It has all the amenities that are necessary for cooking, sleeping, and cleaning, and is very well located. You can walk to the famous Sanctuary of San Francesco di Paola. The main central square is 5 minutes away. Ferruccio is a lovely host who is always available to answer any question related to your trip. If a person has allergies to mold, the place may not be the right fit. Ferruccio did mention the mold to me before we came to Paola. The upper floor has a very nice balcony, so you don't sense the mold. The bathrooms have curtains instead of doors and an exterior wood sliding door without a lock that separates them from the living room area. For some people it may not be a big deal, but for a group of four (me, my mother and two siblings) it was a bit of an issue. The warm welcome from the neighbor was a great part of our visit.

Wir waren zu 5 dort- 3 Erwachsene ein Kind und ein Kleinkind und waren im Mai dort- Vorsaison- am Strand fast die Einzigen und die Nächte noch ruhig. Vor der Nase erstreckt sich ein sicherer Fahrradweg auf dem man ein Stück die Küste entlangfahren könnte oder spatzieren auf der Promenade. Es gibt neben den angrenzenden Lidi auch eine Pineta mit freiem, wilden Strand. Das Meer ist lange laaangge nicht tief und deshalb super für Kleinkinder. Als wir ankamen war ein feiner Minestrone auf dem Herd und zweierlei Pizza im Ofen😍. Im Kühlschrank hat Patrizia weitere Leckereien für uns bereitgestellt- das war sehr Nett! Es hat sogar ein wenig Sandsachen und einen Ombrellone. Im Wohnzimmer hat es viele Bücher für gross und Klein- am Meisten haben wir die wunderbare Terrasse genossen- viele Pflanzen verspielte Details und die beiden Hollywoodschaukeln haben uns verzaubert und tiefenentspannt. La casa è meravigliosa, spaziosa e ristrutturata; la piscina pubblica riservata, silenziosa e pulita (dalle foto non rende). Bisogna utilizzare la macchina ma nei dintorni ci sono molte calette e spiagge uniche. L’unico problema è stato il check-out che non è alle 12:00 come scritto, ma alle 10:00, cosa che ha creato molto disagio. In ogni caso, sapendo questo, la villa vale tutti i soldi spesi.

Our host Emanuele gave us a lovely, friendly welcome. In fact his other family members (who live in the adjacent property) were also very welcoming. The house was very comfortable with lovely sea views and a cooling breeze. The air conditioning in the bedrooms also worked really well. (It was very hot when we visited in early August). Any minor points we drew to Emanuele's attention were quickly dealt with. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. He was able to give us great recommendations for beaches and nice restaurants to visit. We especially enjoyed the lovely terrace with pool. Great to have three bathrooms plus an outdoor shower by the pool. We were made to feel very at home and at ease. Many thanks to the lovely Stranges family for their warm welcome on our first visit to Calabria. (Definitely not our last!). We will especially miss their wee dog Lucky... ;-)

Il villaggio è molto curato e tranquillo. Ci sono due piscine pulitissime con bagnino e vigilanza. L'appartamento è nuovo dotato di tutti i comfort. L'host è una persona molto garbata e disponibile. Al nostro arrivo in appartamento abbiamo trovato acqua, succo ed il necessario per le prime ore. Inoltre è stato sempre presente a risolvere qualsiasi nostra esigenza. Il mare non è una parte di costa delle migliori calabrese ma la spiaggia è dotata di lido con ombrellone e sdraio in dotazione accessibile tramite una pineta.

Giuseppe was very proactive, kind and helpful. Provided us with useful destinations (beaches, restaurants,..). We felt very welcomed at the place and the overall expirience was a positive one. The parking was sometimes a challenge but we made do. It was a well spent time on a beutiful place. Thank you Giuseppe.

Antonio, his wife and mother Mina were so warm and welcoming. Our trip from Rome was much longer than we anticipated and they waited up until 1:30 am to let us in. The home is beautiful and so well equipped for a comfortable visit. Mina so graciously, took us to restaurant, where we could eat and helped us connect with our distant relatives. The whole experience was a dream come true for us. We were only here for two days but I would highly recommend a longer stay. The views are beautiful. A great place for an artist or writer or anyone needing to be restored. God willing we would love to return.

What a great place to stay. What made it even better was the hosts. Veronica and Luigi are amazing. They were so helpful and just such beautiful people. I would definitely recommend this B&B for a great stay in Scalea
