We had a wonderful stay at Brian’s place in Mangawhai! The property is exactly as described - we loved the clean, contemporary aesthetic and the indoor-outdoor living. The location was excellent as well. Just a short walk to the town center in Mangawhai Heads and an easy drive to the beach and all of the other local attractions. Communication with the host was great and we had no issues checking in. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Mangawhai (and we will definitely be back!).

We loved our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Mangawhai. The house was spotless and spacious with a beautiful big garden and Katy was extremely helpful and responsive over message, including setting up a portacot in one of the rooms for us. Another highlight was the location, and we really enjoyed taking the path leading from property to walk along the estuary to the tavern for dinner. Really enjoyed it and would love to stay here again in future.

What a lovely relaxing private place to enjoy the beautiful coastline near Mangawhai. Leanne’s was everything advertised and indeed was better in many respects with a well appointed kitchen. We love the beaches, particularly Lang’s Beach and Leeanne was very helpful and generous with her recommendations and flexibility. We certainly stay again. Thank you Leeanne.

Home away from home. Lovely surroundings, set off the road & private. Good sized bedrooms, big bathroom and separate toilet, spacious kitchen & great indoor outdoor flow. Kitchen had everything we needed, large fridge etc. Our kids also enjoyed having the area in front of the garage to bounce the Basketball. The place looks better than the photos.

Beautiful spot in Mangawhai, views from the kitchen and lounge areas are amazing. The home was spotless and is the perfect venue for exploring everything that Mangawhai has to offer. Great value for money and I would definitely recommend.

We're had a fabulous time staying at this beautiful location. The perfect place to relax and unwind. Maxine was an awesome host and kept us well informed about the local water outage on one of the days, to ensure it didn't spoil our holiday. It didn't. It's been fun making memories as a family, at this home away from home.

wir wurden von Merril bei unserer Ankunft gleich freundlich begrüßt und Frühstücksutensilien sowie Eiern und Äpfeln versorgt. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet 6 die gesamte Einrichtung sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Zum traumhaften Strand sind es nur drei Minuten mit dem Auto oder 20 Minuten zu Fuß.

I cannot say enough about how beautiful Gill's home is. The surroundings are so beautiful, short drive into town where you can find everything your looking for. Gill is such a wonderful and kind host, if you have a chance to visit her home, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for making my son's wedding so special, so lucky to have met such a amazing woman.

You can’t go wrong with this sweet 2 bedroom home. It felt like home. It was completely comfortable and perfect for what we needed. The grounds are amazing and lit up at night. Yummy fruits to snack on. Oh! And the wonderful items left for breakfast. Diane is so kind and helpful. We could not be more happy to have stumbled on this fabulous Airbnb.

Wonderful spot with a comfortable house and outstanding pool! our family loved the great outdoors entertaining area and enjoyed our Christmas week stay immensely. Thoroughly recommend this property.

We had the absolute best time here. It's so quiet and peaceful, the deck is covered with the comfiest outdoor couches. The pool and the spa were the top highlight, swim during the day and a spa under the stars at night. The bed was super comfy. I've seen a couple of reviews saying if you have a low car, the driveway could be a problem, we have a super low car and never had any issues. We will definitely be coming back !

Megan’s home was gorgeous! Even better than the photos look (if that’s possible) everything you needed there so peaceful and the scenery was something else. Megan was responsive and super helpful. Thank you for everything. Hope to come back to stay again in the future.

This was a beautiful spacious apartment (part of a big house but separate and self-contained) with access to a swimming pool and garden. Two bedrooms suited us well and it was like being in a private wing. Very comfy beds, stunning views and a great location for Ruakaka sandy beach and to pop into Whangarei. Pleasant hosts who communicated well. We found it hard to leave!

We had such an amazing stay the place was even better in person loved the swimming pool and loved it being dog friendly which can be hard to find .

This is very nice place to stay. A quiet area with some good walks. My situation was a little different as I wasn't on holiday and wanted somewhere quiet and reasonably close to the hospital where I was visiting my husband each day. The property is off the road and there are auto gates. As I was on my own this made me feel very safe - on top of which Genevieve was in the main house a lot of the day. It was comfortable and cosy (given my stay was during the winter) and Genevieve and her husband went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Thoroughly recommend and if I ever need to be in Whangarei for any length of time I hope I can use this accommodation again.

Vicki hosted me, my partner and our cat as I had business to attend to in Whangārei. The place was just as described in the listing with clear instructions and prompt communication which suited our needs. Vicki was also understanding of our travel arrangements and was able to accomodate our added request which I appreciated. I didn't get a chance to write in the visitor's book but I sure would've shared the same positive feedback. A highlight for me was seeing a kererū in the tree (which I don't get to see in Auckland). Our cat had a blast and was settled.

11 out of 10 ! Claire was outstanding as a host. Spacious, off-street parking (plural), private, clean, fully equipped, comfortable, squillionaire views with almost ‘private’ beach access. Maybe someone didn’t mention the great outdoor shower for getting rid of beach sand ? This place is perfect for family gatherings. There is only one thing not perfect about this place….having to leave !

From the beginning till end, I felt right at home and was warmly welcomed by Chris, the owner. She gave me really helpful info about the Mangawhai Art Trail on that weekend which was awesome. The 'Cosy Cove Cottage was easy to find & just so lovely. I got to feed the alpacas & meet Charlie (wee dog) & Lewis (girl cat) one morning. I was also lucky to see inside Chris' cool Art Studio too 💗 Thanks so much for an awesome stay Chris & I can highly recommend your gorgeous place. Looking forward to coming back soon.
