We absolutely loved our stay here. It was the perfect place to unwind and truly be together as a family. The animal life was incredible. We woke up to monkeys in the morning and playing throughout the day just outside the house. Both john and Oscar were super helpful and friendly. And if you have a chance to have Jackson’s cook- she was incredible. If you’re in for a rustic, full of nature, full family time then this is your place! Also don’t miss out on scheduling a horseback ride with Carlos at finca tropical! It surpassed our expectations and my husband used to guide horseback rides in Colorado. Enjoy the time together and this charming place in Cabo matopalo!

Gilles place is magical. I loved every minute of my month long stay there and was incredibly sad to leave. The views are incredible and the wildlife is abundant I don’t surf but the beaches here are delightful for long walks and I really enjoyed taking dips in the cool river and floating in the tide pools. I loved the daily workout of climbing the steep hill but if you are not very fit you’d be wise to rent a 4x4 or an ATV to get around during your stay. Lastly, Gilles presence on the property was an added bonus! He has lived in the area for a long time and offers great suggestions. He is very respectful of your space / privacy but quick to respond to questions and consistently jovial if you happen to see him outside. Highly recommend!!!

I had such a wonderful time at Valentine's home! It's a perfect, cozy home with everything you need. I loved the outdoor kitchen and upstairs terrace, and the home is surrounded by trees / the jungle so it was such a peaceful environment to enjoy the surrounding nature. It feels very private and tucked away, but loved the proximity to the beach and a nice Italian restaurant down the road! Would just note that the home is a bit far from the main Pavones break and some kind of transportation is necessary to get to town. Valentine was such a great host, very responsive and super helpful and friendly! Overall had such an amazing time experiencing Pavones at this Airbnb, would recommend to anyone and would love to stay here again in the future!

Beautiful beach front property on a semi secluded beach ideal for body surfing or boogie boarding. Easy walking distance to nice restaurants and small grocery shops. Nothing better than following asleep to the sound of waves!

The location is absolutely amazing. If you surf you’re only about a 8 minute walk to the surf spot. You can walk to many different restaurants, grocery store. Every morning we were woken by different kinds of birds singing. The place itself is very nice. I do have a few negative things, the pillows are super thin, there was not any soap or shampoo (not a problem the store was close), the bathroom is on the first floor and if your wife is like mine who has to pee 6 million times during the night, I got tired of going up and down the stairs with her! The only other thing and it is in the description was no hot water, I thought my wife was joking when she told me this before booking the place. Nope! No hot water, the shower outside water is hotter! Other than these little items, the place is amazing, the host replied really fast when we needed anything, the location is amazing. We felt really safe! The price was great for this place. Just pack an extra pillow and soap!

This is a stunning location at the heart of nature. We absolutely loved just sitting and watching the abundance of wildlife that visited the garden or wandering down to one of the idyllic beaches that are in easy walking distance. The property is an open beach house and doesn’t pretend to be a luxury villa but really this only adds to the sense of being in nature. In truth though there are far fewer nocturnal visitors than we had expected. Also, do not be put off by the road; it is really not bad at all, in fact there are far fewer potholes than on many other Costa Rican roads. Richard is an exceptional host; friendly, helpful and always available but very respectful of your privacy. We absolutely loved our stay here and would have no hesitation going back.

Nao’s place was amazing!! Wonderful outdoor shower that you can look up at the stars while showering. Beautiful fruit trees all over the property, and a very nice pool that’s amazing to cool off in. Nao and Ray are very accommodating hosts, will definitely stay here again!
