The place was very accommodating. Location was great for my needs. The kitchen was well equipped. I personally appreciated that there was a bit of dish soap available to use as well as the topper wear. The place pretty clean. Plenty of towels were provided. AC was great for temperature regulation since I like it a bit cooler when I sleep. The wifi isn't very strong and the restaurant next door was a bit noisy because of the proximity but it's completely quiet between 9-10 pm. I should also add they have a nice varied menu for all taste at the Foggy pub which is great if you feel like having a quick bite. Since i'm frequently in the area for work, I will be looking upcoming vacancies so I can book the place again. I highly recommend this place!

Had a great stay at Carols! We loved meeting the horses and Carol’s sweet dog. The home was cozy and perfect for the snowy weekend we stayed. Would love to return!

Beautiful location, great space, excellent host. The restaurant at the golf course is delicious! Apartment is perfect for larger groups or family gatherings. My only suggestion would be a king bed but otherwise it was amazingly welcoming.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend as a christmas gift. we were very pleased to see how much like the photos the rental actually was. the bed was comfy, the streaming services worked great, the host was very friendly and responded to any of my questions very quickly. We definitely will want to stay here again! Only issue is the privacy for the bathroom but it was a bonding experience for sure lol!

A lovely place for either a one nighter or long stay. Very well appointed. Everything anyone would want to feel at home. Had a couple of questions and Brenda responded very quickly. Would highly recommend staying at any of Brenda’s rentals

The house was perfect for us. Very clean and organized. Great host always responded in a timely manner. Was only about a 30 to 40 minute drive to Acadia National Park & Bar harbor, depending on traffic it could take longer. If we ever make it back to Maine I would definitely stay at the Higgins Retreat again. Thanks again Richard & Tina.
