La casa es grande con espacios verdes y comodidad en general. Lugar seguro y tranquilo. cerca de todo lo necesario tambien. Se duerme muy bien. La casa está bien equipada.

Such a beautiful and peaceful location, with an epic view! Very spacious house with incredible ocean views from every bedroom. We enjoyed listening to the howler monkeys in the morning! Its a bit of a drive from Uvita/Dominical, but well worth it for the beauty and privacy it offers. 4WD is definitely needed to get here. Roberto and Diana were very responsive and helpful! We would love to come back here someday and highly recommend this place

Our party of 12 all loved our stay. We particularly appreciated the attentiveness of Emanuel, who offered local expertise and guidance, and the immediate responses from the host, Peter. The birds and monkeys we could see from the patio made it a spectacular location. Lovely patio and pool. Table that seated 12 and a well equipped kitchen that could accommodate multiple cooks made the stay even more delightful. Thanks!

Der Check-in war sehr einfach via Codeschloss, perfekte Wegbeschreibung. Die Unterkunft war hervorragend, auch der Fluss in der Nähe. Wir kamen mit dem Bus an, in der Gegend gibts Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, alle fußläufig erreichbar, auch gute Restaurants. Das Grundstück ist groß und hat viele Orangenbäume. Es gibt genügend in der Gegend zu erkunden, auch die Wanderwege in Cloudbridge und der Sendero Los Gigantos sind zu empfehlen. Haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt!

We enjoyed our stay. As other reviewers will tell you, it’s imperative that you have a four wheel drive vehicle to get there. The road up to the properly is approximately 3km’s, dirt and very rocky. I popped a tire during our stay. Make sure that you’re arriving during the daylight as there is very little light on the mountainous climb up to the home. All that aside, the location is extremely peaceful with a great view. I highly recommend taking an afternoon break in one of the two hammocks that are located down the steps in a covered area underneath the home. The breeze, view and sounds of nature from this location are idyllic. The other thing that I would say to be aware of is that there is only A/C in the bedrooms. This is very common for Costa Rica. So the main floor where the kitchen and the family room are located can get quite warm even with the paddle fans regardless if there’s a breeze or not from the outdoors. We would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is the 4th different rental we’ve stayed in on vacation in Costa Rica and has been our favorite. The house was extremely clean and modern but still comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for a family of 5 to have meals and mostly eat in which is exactly what I was hoping for. The pool is a good size and perfect depth for younger kids. The house is close to everything we needed and we found lots to do, but the area felt very private. The area is very friendly with great beaches and restaurants. The views at sunset (and all day) are just incredible! We highly recommend booking this place and wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

What an amazing location! Probably one of the most stunning views of Costa Rica but certainly the best learning experience on sustainable living! The cooking of Marga is fantastic, make sure to eat there! You'll enjoy the nature and surroundings of this amazing finca! Un encanto for the mind and soul. I really enjoyed the tour of the finca and the approach/mindset on life. One day I hope to be back!

This place was an amazing retreat into the mountains after a long week in the humidity at envision. A beautiful place to decompress and relax amongst the clouds. Chema and Marga are amazing hosts, so kind and open with fascinating stories and insights into eco- living. The food is incredible— fresh local ingredients and made with love. I highly recommend! Definitely visit the nearby swimming holes / waterfalls as well. One of my favorite places to date!

I arrived at Chema and Marga’s place after a long bumpy ride on an unpaved road. My first view of the property almost brought tears to my eyes - their home is basically in the clouds! I felt so lucky to be there. And then when I walked in through the big, beautiful, heavy wooden front doors the sight of the interior really took my breath away. Even now words escape me as it is difficult to describe the feeling of peace and serenity I felt immediately. The home is just gorgeous and I have great respect for Chema and Marga for building this masterpiece by hand. Everything the other reviewers said is accurate, I will just add that there is a majestic view of the stars on clear nights, that Marga is one of the strongest and most amazing women I’ve ever met, and Chema is a wise old man who gave me incredible information about the earth that I’m really grateful for. I was so glad to have had access to such delicious home cooked vegan meals as well - thankful to the hosts for accommodating my specific diet. This is a perfect place to get away from city life, to experience the healing gifts of nature and to be in silence. Thank you Chema and Marga for opening up your home to guests, and allowing us access to this slice of paradise.

Beautiful property and extraordinary views. Liberty was a very responsive and gracious host, we truly enjoyed our stay, the pool and the tower which was where we hung out most! Grocery stores and restaurants were available within a short distance, although we cooked a lot on property, we even got to experience a local festival.

This house surrounding by nature is a gem- toucans were flying above our heads for 4 days! Really restful and beautiful. The house is great, we feel like at home, it s spacious but not too big for a family of 4. The swimming pool is amazing and deeper than we imagined. The drive to the house is impressive the first time because steep but definitely it worths it and you get used to it quickly. We recommend this place to enjoy the area! I booked this listing for a group of 8 women. We all needed time to get away from our busy lives in the U.S. The six nights at La Sombra were peaceful and inspiring! What a beautiful location and beautiful grounds. We were all stunned by the property, in a good way:) It was even better than the beautiful pictures provided. Each villa was appointed beautifully with quality linens, towels, robes, bath soaps, dishes, etc. We especially enjoyed the patio views and the design of the structures that incorporate natural light and the surrounding nature. We ate dinner each night on the patio of the main house, and found a spot for morning meditations on the bridge. Catherine and Ryan were available and responsive before, during and after our visit. And, I cannot say enough about the local cook, Marta. We all wanted to take her home with us! What a treat:) Thank you for sharing your home with us, Catherine and Ryan!

This is a very special place up in the cloud forest. In the morning you can see the Pacific coast and mountains and in the afternoon you can watch the clouds come in. It's stunning. The dome structure is spectacular and the interior is pure zen. We had a lot of interesting conversations with Chema and Marga's food is so tasty and balanced. This was a one of kind place.
