Perfect for our group!

There was 8 of us who stayed at Horseplay. We were all extremely pleased with the accomodations and the location. The horses came up to the house and the birds outside the window had such beautiful songs. The only thing we had any issue with was the first couple days, the water made our hair extremely dry. I believe once the water softener got going, our hair was better. Being the FIRST rental of the season, it might take a few days to get to normal. Since, most of us are older, we may need to find a house with an elevator, in the future. 🤣 We are very happy with our vacay, Laura and Carova Cottages.

This beautiful Sound life home was perfect for our family of 9 and we all loved the sunporch, game room, pool and hot tub!! All the outdoor furniture is well built and awesome!!! Location was nice and quiet and the public boat landing right in front of the property wasn't too busy and it was neat to see the different boats coming and going...The town Grandy was just a short car ride away with all the groceries, restaurants and whatever else we needed ...Outerbanks was fun lots to do and the kids enjoyed parasailing and the Wright Brothers park/museum etc...the negatives we found were dirty utensils, pots, pans in cabinets in kitchen, the fridge in garage smelled awful we had to clean it in order to use it but very convenient to have!! The rugs in upstairs bathroom were filthy and stained and shoved in the cabinet Other than that we loved the home and all the amenities it offered I highly recommend it and we would definitely stay here again!!

Naps on the Beach was incredible!! It was a totally new experience for all of us. Surrounded by beautiful houses in this area of the 4x4 beach was something everyone should experience. The views, sunrises and sunsets were second to none and having the option of the pool, hot tub or beach just a short walk away gave everyone choices to relax in our own way. The Wild Horses visited us daily too! 

Our host was always responsive to any questions. The house provided so many places for guests to sleep and the living room / dining room / Kitchen area was definitely the place to hang out. I read somewhere that if Naps on the Beach was available, jump at the chance to stay there….and that was exactly right!!

Very nice home that was extremely clean and neat in a great location on 4x4 beach. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Wife usually packs things she thinks she would need but we never had to pull ours out. Even had a crock pot! Cooked a prime rib dinner for eight on thanksgiving and everything we needed was there. Enjoyed the drive in and riding up to Virginia state line. Horses all around the home and the private setting makes it a great destination. Our family will definitely stay here again on future vacations/fishing trips. Proactive host that told us we might want to use a different track coming in due to water ponding in one section. Nice to know the host was paying attention to the guests as we were arriving. Great stay!!!

We enjoyed our stay in Corolla so much. The house had plenty of space for everyone, the pool was cool and refreshing, the beach was just a short walk away and the horses came by everyday, sometimes walking within arms reach. You definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to make the trip up the beach. When the tide is high the water can come all the way up to the dunes in places. Remember to bring a tire gauge! If you want to get away from it all and experience what it's like to live on the edge of the world this house is the perfect place!

Nice and inviting place. Despite the cold weather, the area is great for exploring historic landmarks and easy to get to other attractions and areas of business for the week.

Ms. Danita was so pleasant and made our trip for our college Homecoming worth while. Thank you again for our amazing and family style hospitality. I look forward to forward to staying there again in the future.
