We had a great time & really enjoyed the cabin! The place is very nice, well kept, & super peaceful. Of course the best part was the hot tub. It was very clean, easy to use, & very relaxing! We will be back!

The perfect relaxing cabin. A short drive from gorgeous wineries and a quick walk to a beautiful hiking trail where we found over 12 mushroom species. Highly recommend this host!

Everything was exactly as described and as pictured. It was super clean and cozy.

What a beautiful cabin close to the Shawnee National forest and numerous other states parks and wilderness areas. We had everything we needed and more. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with appliances and utensils, and the hot tub clean and spacious and oh so relaxing. The outdoor space is pristine, comfortable, and a great place to gather. We'll worth the trip!

Phillip was a great host, the cabin was perfect for my wife and to really enjoy a peaceful stay. He was very responsive and friendly. Great location! Great Host! Great Cabin. My wife and I will definitely be back to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful location again.

There was an issue with the water well. The maintenance guys were there within the hour to resolve the problem. Which wound up being an issue with the pump itself. The well company was very prompt and fixed the problem. To have them pull a well, on Saturday before Easter Sunday, on short notice, was impressive. I would recommend this stay to anyone. Thank you

My son and I very much enjoyed our stay. Both Jill and Danny were very responsive to any of our questions, and we really loved the trail that we were able to access for our private use. The animals were so much fun to be around.

The cabin looked brand new! Beautiful scenery! Only complaint is the extremely uncomfortable pull out bed. This thing is NOT intended to be slept on. My husband tried it the first night and my 9 year old daughter the second. They could feel every spring and the bars that ran across. Just wanted to emphasize that there is only one suitable bed. Otherwise everything is as described.

I'm feeling like I should keep this gem to myself. What a find. perfect spot. great up to date look and feel. lots of comfortable furniture. bed was amazing, couch could fit 10 people. love this place.

Quaint little cabin in a very quiet area, but close to Carbondale IL. Place was very clean, easy to find and exactly as described. Great place for price! Would definitely stay again.

This place is amazing! Christina was so kind. She had Easter eggs for the kids hid through the air b and b! She had bacon eggs and snacks for us, which was appreciated so much! We went geode hunting, pet and feed the horses and goats. The cabin was clean and so cool! Extra spacious, stocked with everything you need, tons of board games, lots of towels and the beds were comfy! We traveled a little distance to go to elephant state park and Johnston Shut in's, so while it's peaceful, it's a short drive to a lot of neat stuff. I feel greatful to be able to stay somewhere so amazing with my kiddos! They loved every minute of it!

Fantastic location! We had a peaceful 4 night stay at this cozy mountaintop cabin. Spotless and supurbly decorated! The setting was incredibly tranquil, perfect for a getaway from the grind of daily life. We loved sipping our morning coffee on the deck while planning our daily hiking adventures to some of the beautiful nearby state parks. The hosts were friendly and communicative, making check-in/check-out a breeze.

The cabin was clean, secluded and very peaceful. We will stay there again when visiting family. Thank you Tom for a nice stay!

This cabin was unbelievable. Everything was fresh and new, beautifully decorated, cosy and thoughtful. The hosts really went out of their way to provide everything needed - Fire and s'more supplies, water filter in fridge, wine and snacks, plentiful toiletries and paper products, condiments and spices, games, books (even children's books and coloring supplies) nice soaps, comfy beds, plentiful and nice towels etc. It became a running joke for us "wow, this cabin really has everything." All of it very thoughtfully curated, it all felt very personal. My daughter freaked out over the loft, it's a kid's dream come true. It is a high loft, so probably most appropriate for an older kid, but she is 6 and followed the rules carefully. It's in a beautiful setting and feels very secluded, we didn't see any other people or dogs while we were there, so we could just exit the cabin and hike or let our dog and daughter play around the premises.

I’m glad we stayed at one of Linda’s cabins. She’s an excellent host! We originally rented side A, but I realized after booking that it didn’t have a kitchen, and we planned on cooking most of the 5 nights we were there. She so graciously switched us to side B! The farm is SO beautiful, and thankfully the rain cleared away long enough for my daughter and I to walk one of the trails — even though we had to work around some giant puddles. 😆 It’s seriously so gorgeous! This particular listing is a cabin with 2 sides rented out, and the walls are PAPER thin, so just be aware of that! Definitely no fault to the host, but we could hear a lot of movement next door. I’m sure they could hear us too, though we tried hard to keep our 4-year old contained while indoors. Haha! THANK YOU, Linda! We’d love to come back when the weather is warmer and dryer. Personally, we would choose a single cabin next time, just for a little more space and less stress about our daughter’s crazy activeness. 🤭

Had the best time for a bachelorette party! Great deck and hot tub to relax. Had a bus pick us up and explore the Shawnee wine trail! Convenient distance to all local wineries!

We went for a siblings outing and it was amazing. We went to the pool and enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing was fun and also being able to see beavers right outside was pretty amazing. I will definitely be booking another time. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. Perfect place I recommend this place 100%.

Beautiful, relaxing trip we had! Little ones loved fishing (although there was alot of muck around bank) it didn’t stop them from having a great time! We will visit again.

Rosene and Gerald’s place is absolutely one of the coziest and most comfortable cabins we have ever enjoyed. The decor is so welcoming and beautiful and the many special touches were a wonderful surprise. Rosene is a fabulous host. Communication was excellent and it is so obvious that she has a sincere desire for guests to feel welcome and enjoy their stay. We had a great time hiking Snake Road and biking the Tunnel Hill Trail. We only wish we had more time for hiking in the Shawnee National Forest and exploring local state parks. Thank you so much for having us! We hope to return!

This was by far the best little vacation we have had in a long time. The cabin was perfect for two of us. The lake with the canoe made for perfect fishing. I was able to travel around the property on foot. Very private and beautiful. The owner Tony is very nice, attentive, and seems like a wonderful guy. The owners really have provided everything you could think of. Loved everything about our stay and are already trying to find dates to come out again!

If you are seeking peace and a quiet surroundings, this is the place to stay. There are lakes and lots of areas to hike. The kitchen is stocked with the equipment for some serious cooking and there is a grill and a firepit outside. The internet service is fast, the cable service has plenty to watch and the cabin is stocked with board games. If you are looking for lots of restaurants and high end grocery stores, this is probably not the best area for you.

The cabin and surroundings were perfect for our family getaway--beautiful, tranquil, private, clean, and very comfortable! We enjoyed the river access, beautiful sunsets, stars and bird life. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. There was a lot of thought that went into the decorating and amenities inside the cabin that we appreciated and enjoyed including dvds, games and records. This is an air b&b gem!!

The house was perfect. My family met here from Chicago, IL, Nashville TN, Providence, KY because we are big fans of the local wine trail. The master bedroom had THE softest bed. I slept perfectly both nights. The house is literally everything you need and we had the best time. 🙂 can’t wait to come back.
