We had the most incredible stay in this beautiful home! The moment we arrived, we were struck by the serene and peaceful atmosphere that enveloped the entire property. The venue is truly breathtaking, with its outdoor space where we enjoyed the pool and wild game that comfortably joined the yard. The home itself was immaculately maintained, with everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. All house appliances that we needed were available. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful space. I look forward to returning someday!

My challenge in writing this review will be to keep it succinct. I have too many positive things to say. In short, our experience exceeded our expectations. Our multigenerational group of 3 adults and 2 children (ages 7 and 10) thoroughly enjoyed the unique opportunity to experience the relaxation that comes with living in a wild natural setting, alongside the thrill of unconfined close animal encounters. We felt safe, welcomed, and cared for and never intruded upon. Communication was excellent and the accommodations were comfortable and lovely. The hosts went out of their way, in my opinion, to assist with our transfer arrangements from Johannesburg. I was able to modify my original plan, using their suggestions, to arrive at a more affordable and predictable route from the airport to the lodge. We found Staffan to be a very intuitive host and loved his stories and reflections about his lived experience in South Africa. 10/10 recommend.

This was our 3rd visit to Fairfarren. Always a great experience with lots of game visiting around the house. Despite the bush being lush and green the animals visited around the house many times a day. Large herd of 9 Nyala came every day. Very peaceful and quiet.

The moment I arrived at Bush Jewel it felt like home. It’s a beautiful, welcoming place with everything you need. Wi-Fi was flawless (needed to work remotely and had no problems during video conf calls). Riette’s place is a haven of calm and it was a joy watching the wildlife from the comfy seats on the patio or even while relaxing in the splash pool. The bed was comfy (firm but soft with a mosquito next surrounding it) and the outside shower is a treat. Although I never actually saw Riette, communication with her was pleasant and she was very responsive and helpful with any questions. Hoedspruit is a lovely small but lively town with plenty shops and restaurants nearby to get what you need, and many wonderful places to visit within driveable distance. The wildlife estate itself also has a wonderfully relaxed vibe and a nature area to explore where I even saw a leopard one late afternoon. I seriously did not want to leave and hope to be back soon!

I have stayed in HWE many times and Corkwood Villa is definitely the best choice! Such a stunning private property. It was the cleanest air B&B I have ever checked into. A modern kitchen with brand new appliances. The bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms, with outdoor showers as well. The rooms are so cool at night with the fans and option of aircon and the house is decorated simply and beautifully. We will be back! We loved our stay!

A relaxing bush experience with tasteful decor, a well stocked kitchen and the most relaxing pool and patio area!

What an incredible place ! We loved our stay there. The people that helped us were so friendly and always went out their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The golf course is beautiful and has the potential to get even better. When talking to the people that work there, they said that there are big plans to get the resort back to its 100% best. We will definitely be back !
