We had a wonderful time here on the Christmas holiday with family. So much to explore with the wineries, hikes, apple orchards/cideries! Amazing kitchen to cook in and a cozy fireplace to snuggle up by while watching a movie. We enjoyed the hot tub under the starts and made s’mores in the fire pit one night! Definitely a great place for a family to enjoy nature and get out of the city.

Unfortunately due to a storm the power was out. They did their best to find us an alternative cabin and were very helpful.

Absolutely beautiful cabin! The space was great and the views were stunning. The hot tub was enjoyable. The kitchen was fully functioning with everything needed. There were more than enough towels for bathing and swimming. There were so many deer! We stayed for 5 nights and loved that we were able to bring our 2 pups with us. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. Would definitely book again!

This is my families 3rd annual Christmas cabin getaway. Our entire family refuse to stay anywhere else only at the Gingerbread Cabin with such an amazing host Megan. As soon as we walk through the door it feels like home. Well stocked with pots and pans for all our baking and cooking needs. THE BEDS!!! Literally the beds and pillows are like a dream omg. We will forever continue to support and stay here each year as long as Megan will have us. This is our second home away from home and we will always take very good care and pride of it each year. Thank Megan for being such an amazing host and very good on communication. Until next yearrrr! Merry Christmas all. 🎅

We had a great extended weekend! Had to cancel our original trip to western North Carolina due to Helene but still wanted to be in the mountains. This fit the bill! We chilled for a couple days, played alot of pool, used the hot tub and cooked in. The kitchen had everything we needed. We visited the Georgia Apple Festival, played putt putt, visited the Bigfoot museum and ate out at Blue Jeans Pizza and Pueblo Cantina in Elijay. Both were great! Made lots of great memories 🥰

Lovely home with great views. Had a few appliance issues due to a power surge before we arrived. They went above and beyond to remedy the issues. I hope they keep the property after the repairs. It’s a beautiful place!

Great cabin right on the river. Everything was so peaceful. The kitchen has brand new appliances. There was ample space for 2 families. The staircase is a little scary for the kids and the lack of insulation inside made for noise to be spread easily, but not enough to bother us. We really enjoyed our stay.

Loved the cabin. Quiet, peaceful mountain area. Very clean. Had everything we were looking for. Directions very helpful in the email when we lost cell service. Thank you for having lights on since we arrived after dark. Had some difficulty with the fireplace - unable to use it. Driveway could use a little maintenance - multiple washed out areas. Would definitely enjoy staying here again!

This Airbnb was amazing! The host went above and beyond, making the stay truly memorable. This cabin is amazing! It's beautiful inside and out. It was like spending the night at a museum or Elvis Presley's bedroom. There was a problem with our initial reservation but our host was more than gracious and, not only let us stay one night for free, but also gave us half-off a future stay. We can't wait to go back!

First off, Wendy is a spectacular human! She was the sweetest! I messaged her to see if we could check in a little early, not only could we check in early she let us know it was ready before the early check-in! She checked on us to see if we needed anything done around the house, leaves or wanted the Christmas decor down! It was just outstanding and we loved the Christmas decor! The boat dock was so peaceful and was my workout everyday!!! We will be back for sure!! It’s like we are family now!

The Cabin is set right on Carters Lake. The view from the wrap around porch is gorgeous. Everything was exactly as described and the price was very reasonable. If you’re a morning person, going out on the porch a half hour before sunrise and watching the night turn into day over the lake is just beautiful. This was fantastic for our three night stay. On a longer stay, I think the lack of amenities (no internet, washer dryer, you are the dishwasher) would have worn on me. Still 5 stars because all of that was disclosed before renting, and they delivered exactly what they described, and that view…

We really enjoyed our stay here! Sally was very responsive when we requested to book last minute after our campsite fell through. She saved our weekend! The cabin was as described and had an absolutely incredible view from the back deck. We have stayed at many Airbnbs all around the world and the view here was one of the prettiest and most relaxing that we have had. We would definitely return.

I took my teenage daughter and her friend for a 'girls' weekend' at the lake. Karen's place was absolutely perfect and she was an exceptional host. We did have a small issue with the AC, which Karen corrected immediately. She was very responsive, very friendly, and very accommodating. (Plus this AirBnb comes with a DOG!! Sam is the sweetest goodest boy). We would definitely return to Karen's place and highly recommend it.

The master bed was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the big window upstairs with a view of the trees. It was a rare 20 degrees for the 2 days we were there, but we can imagine how lovely it would be in the summer to utilize the porch and the dock. The neighborhood is very nice and was a warm welcome with many having their Christmas decorations up.

So happy and satisfied with our stay here! Pablo was such an amazing host. So responsive and helpful through our entire stay. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

This cabin is fantastic and Joeseph and Lorena were great at communicating. I ended up proposing to my girlfriend at this cabin and they were accommodating to make everything perfect. There were so many thoughtful gestures like a personalized sign and have other cool things like deer feed and bird feed. The pictures of this cabin don’t do it justice! Views are amazing, clean, and all of the games you could ever want to play. The only thing I would note before you book is make sure you put the correct amount of people staying. Even though the cabin sleeps 8, I only reserved with 2 because I didn’t know how many were staying. There is a fee for anyone over your reserved amount. I ended up having 3 others stay for a total of 5 and still had to pay extra for them. Something to note. Everything was amazing and would recommend to anyone to stay here!

Me and my friends had a lovely time, the host was very helpful and responsive. She gave us helpful tips with operating the hot tub. Would love to stay again!

The cabin was lovely and in great condition. There were issues of communication steming from what Airb&b shares with the host. If this could get worked out, I would have no complaints. We did have an issue of septic flooding on our final night which the host was highly apologetic about and quick to address even though it was late at night and below freezing. The host was friendly, the resort was nice, and the trails would have been so fun if we had not been too cold to walk to explore them. Had it been warmer, there was beautiful scenery and much to explore. Fair warning, apple maps works great on the resort property but Google maps will take you in crazy directions.

We felt one with nature. The cabin was very cozy. The views were spectacular. I would definitely recommend this cabin👍🏽

Terri was a wonderful host. She gave us hiking and restaurant ideas and was accommodating to our 1 year old who can be a handful. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Big Canoe.
