Good place to stay near the beach. The apartment was comfortable, clean and very convenient! Overall, a good choice in Hermosa!

We had a lovely stay at Javier's. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, which we especially appreciated after our long trip from California. Best thing for us was how close the beach was. It took us less than five minutes to walk to a stunningly gorgeous beach with the best body surfing waves we've ever caught. There were also some nice places to eat nearby and an easy jaunt to the water taxi's which take you to Tamarindo. Day trips are also very doable, with the Las Leonas waterfalls within a 1.5 hr drive and the Buena Vista adventure tours (zip lining, horseback, water slide) within 2.5 hrs. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful setting. Loved the pool. Peaceful location right on the beach. The restaurant has very good food and the most comfortable place to relax.

El Manglar is the perfect and best place to stay in Playa Grande. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the location is ideal, and the price is affordable. I love that this is a place owned and run by Ticos. It’s nice to stay at the beach in Costa Rica where the guests aren’t just tourists, but also nacionales. Gracias por todo!

Really cute spot with easy access to the beach. Hosts were very responsive and went out of their way to ensure I had made it safely to an excursion I had signed up for thru them. Would definitely stay again. Make sure to try out their restaurant down the road.

Maria and Dino were AMAZING hosts. Dino was super friendly and helpful and funny 😄. They were always responsive to any questions we had and had great recommendations for restaurants. The hotel is clean, quiet and has a great pool. It was perfect to come back to after a hot day at the beaches. It is perfect because it’s out of the town center where all of the noisy bars are. Just a 9 minute walk 👍🏻 We will definitely stay again if we come back to Tamarindo. This is one of THE best Airbnb’s we have stayed at 😊

Cute little surf hotel. Walking distance to beach. Lovely amenities like the common areas with board games and complimentary coffee. Friendly staff.

We loved Hotel Cantarana! It was the perfect spot to relax before our wedding in Playa Grande. Love the community and how walkable everything is. Loved the coffee shop, restaurant, and private path to the beach. Everyone was so friendly and helpful too. The bed was comfy! The pool was refreshing and very much needed. Really no complaints at all.

We enjoyed our stay! The host was super friendly and we felt safe. The walls are not noise proof but it didn’t bother us. The area had a lot of new restaurants and coffee shops that were all walking distance. It looked like more shops and restaurants were being built so I’m sure the area will continue to get better. I recommend staying here if you are looking for more of an authentic Costa Rican experience!

Maria and Dino’s Airbnb was absolutely fantastic. And we had the pleasure of having them there on the property! Super helpful and responsive. Great recommendations and tips for the area. They even upgraded our room when we mentioned it was our honeymoon. Loved the experience.

This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend wedding trip in Tamarindo. It was easy and cheap to get transportation to events but also no more than 10 minute walk to all the restaurants, grocery, and beach. Hosts were very responsive and accommodating to our requests and helped with any questions we had.
