Rodman and Johannah make it easy to want to come back. We have now stayed in all the villas. Maybe next time we’ll try the main house. Samara is a town where the best places and things to do are spread out. Villas Espavel is walking distance to the highlights, on both ends of the beach. This property exceeds expectations!!! It’s spotless, beautifully decorated, the beds are very comfortable, and it’s equipped with everything you could need! The grounds are impeccable and the VIEWS are breathtaking …. from every window!!!! The property hosts are so friendly and accommodating!!! We can’t wait to come back!

Just an amazing stay. Very clean. I’m a little… bougie. But I was quite impressed with the stay and the level of cleanliness, which means a lot coming from me. Well maintained. Great time. Pool was cleaned daily. Jurgen seems like a straight up guy. We had no issues on our stay but I’m sure if we did he would address them rapidly. We were in need of batteries and he had them there within the hour! This is quite the hidden gem. Great value if you’re looking to either A) just sit poolside and relax Or B)treat it like your home base. Use the money you’re saving compared to other similar places that are double the price and not even as clean, and rent a car and travel all over The cherry on top was the groundskeeper, Jenaro. What an incredible human being. When you stay here, feel free to ask Jurgen or Jenaro about what he recommends. You can’t go wrong. Must stay place. No complaints 10/10

This is our second time staying at one of Mijal's properties, but our first in this smaller lofted studio as it was just my husband and I. Our stay was tremendous and we had an incredible time. Mijal is a fantastic host and was super responsive to any questions or needs we had. The space is even better than the pictures in the listing - it is light, airy, and pristine. The kitchen is fantastic and we easily cooked in a few nights. The location is also A+ . It is walkable to various restaurants, coffee shops, the beach, market...We will absolutely be back and stay here! We cannot recommend it enough :)

Rodrigo’s place is amazing. The house is clean and comfortable, and the location is unreal. The views are amazing, and we loved having coffee on the balcony in the morning and watching the sunset over the ocean in the evening. Rodrigo is so responsive and helpful - we couldn’t have asked for a better host. Next time we’re back we will 100% stay here again.

We absolutely loved Soren and Melanie's place at The Enclave at Playa Avellanas. It was modern, beautifully decorated, clean and filled with natural light. We love to cook and the kitchen had great counter space, all the appliances we needed to prepare our meals, and a view of the pool and gorgeous landscaping. Soren and Melanie were very responsive when we had questions. They also provided a binder with a lot of great recommendations for beach excursions, grocery stores and restaurants. The Enclave is just gorgeous, private and quiet. All the houses are grouped around the most beautiful swimming pool we've ever seen. I swam my laps in it every morning. We also loved that while The Enclave was just a short walk to the beach and multiple restaurant, it was extremely private and secure. We would highly recommend Soren and Melanie's house to anyone considering a trip to Playa Avellanas! And I would recommend this area to anyone considering visiting Costa Rica.

Excelente lugar para relajarse y desconectar en una zona muy tranquila.

The location was absolutely perfect! It was just a short walk to the beach, with a market conveniently across the street on the right and an amazing coffee shop/breakfast spot to the left. The area felt quiet and safe, making it an ideal place to relax. The property itself was impeccably clean, with beautiful, well-maintained grounds. The beds were incredibly comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep after a day of exploring. While we did notice a few ants (which is to be expected in Costa Rica), it wasn’t bothersome at all. Overall, we were so comfortable and happy, enjoying both the peaceful atmosphere of the property and the pool. Highly recommend!
