Great little place to Stay. Katie was really friendly and has a great knowledge of the local area, would definitely stay again.

Superb experience with a welcoming host and brilliant location. Hans looked after us during our short stay, always willing to lend travel advice. The highlight was absolutely the breakfast. Truly set us up for a day out and incredible value for money. Thanks Hans!

Had an amazing stay at Gary and Lisa's for the new year period. Me and my partner came to dartmoor for a nice getaway and walk without breaking the bank. The host's were phenomenal and very proactive in letting us know instructions and making sure we got there and in okay. The place itself was IMMACULATE, not a speck of Dust in sight and was really refreshing to walk into. It's a self contained small home with bathroom (shower) bedroom, living room with television and good WiFi and a kitchen with oven and electric hob and even washer and dryer. (we didn't use these but I'm sure they worked) there's also a conservatory attached with dining table for extra space! the place was lovely, peaceful and remote but around a 10 minute drive from some breathtaking walks at the moors! the price was incredibly reasonable for the area and we would 100% stay again in the future! looking forward to it! couldn't recommend this place enough!

Stayed for 3 days over Christmas. Was absolutely lovely. The house was a great space and very relaxing. Great for families and children.

I've stayed a few times now whenever I'm working nearby and it's always a lovely stay. The home made cakes/biscuits are always delicious..

I have visited Alison's lodges now several times as the location is just absolutely stunning, it's dog friendly and the lodges themselves are beautiful, cosy and well equipped. The sound of the babbling brook at Brook Lodge as I fell asleep at night was so peaceful. It's so easy to access beautiful walks very close, including within the grounds themselves, and you can also hop in the car and go a bit further afield. Alison is very thoughtful and flexible and I could not recommend this stay more. It is a little bit of peace!

We had a fantastic short break in the artist annex and would love to return for a longer spell of relaxation. Micky was very helpful and friendly with great instructions and communication. The location was perfect and very peaceful with great views across the valley and with the annex being very well kitted out it's deserves 5 stars / 100% ratings. We really enjoyed staying at the Annex. It’s got a great layout and is modern and clean. The appliances were great and gave us the flexibility to have an afternoon indoors and relax. Alan was super helpful throughout the process and gave us clear information to make the most of our stay. We were able to charge our electric car (EV) regularly during our stay which made travelling stress free. The lovely welcome basket also meant that we could get setup and settled straight away. Great location too! Highly recommended and hope to stay again in future.

Great stay at the apartment. Chris was a great host, we didn’t meet him in person but he was incredibly helpful & accommodating, replying to messages very quickly. We only stayed for one night, two adults & two children and our dog. Everything was as described, very easy to find, easy parking and lovely areas for the dog to run about, clean & warm. Although you are minutes from the moors so ideal if you are going walking. Chris gave us some local recommendations for food which was great. The cromwell arms was lovely. Overall the apartment ticked all boxes for us for a one night stay ( being very picky if we stayed longer the fire exit light would annoy me at night time as it seemed bright - but that’s the whole point of it!) Thank you for a great stay!

Another really lively cosy , comfortable stay at a stressful family time . All of the comfort , cleanliness and little extras made this the obvious choice to return to. Lovely to light the log burner at the end of the day . Thanks again Michelle !

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Our accommodation was amazing. The hot-tub experience at night under the stars was exceptional. Frank was an amazing host who made us feel very welcome and gave us amazing recommendations for Dartmoor national park. Would definitely stay here again :)

Pat was responsive, very friendly and helpful with great local knowledge. Fresh Milk and biscuits were waiting for us on arrival. Comes highly recommended. We will stay again when next in the area as a short walking distance to great amenities!!

My Dad, Daughter and I had the most wonderful weekend stay at this beautifully designed barn. The layout makes fantastic use of the space, and the large windows and doors offer breathtaking views of the surrounding grounds—open fields, trees, and wildflowers as far as the eye can see. Waking up to birdsong and heading down to feed the chickens was such a lovely touch. The barn itself was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The log burner made for cozy evenings, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the rain shower and deep bath were pure luxury. The kitchen and dining area had everything you needed for cooking and entertaining. And, of course, the hot tub—an absolute highlight—was the perfect way to both start and end the day. Our host was fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Nothing was too much trouble. This place is an absolute gem, and we can’t wait to return!

was a great location for visiting Looe and surrounding area. we used this mainly as a base but the campsite is nice and quiet with a small park for the kids, small shop onsite for basic amenities. Would highly recommend.

A lovely one bed place in a lovely location. Everything is high spec and comfortable. Sitting underneath the viaduct and next to a babbling stream makes it a lovely spot too.

My stay at Frances’ was absolutely lovely- she made us feel very welcome from the offset! The place is very charming and homely- I’ll be back for sure if I return to this neck of the woods!

Compact, peaceful and characterful accommodation Well equipped kitchen

Heather made us feel right at home. She greeted us at check-in and gave us a personal tour, along with suggestions for family activities and walks. Her place was a quaint and adorable 3 bedroom house perfect for our stay. She checked-in with us frequently and we loved the beautiful views. Thank you Heather!!

The annexe was perfect for us and had a private patio which was perfect for the dog. The sofa can be turnt into a bed which was great for us to relax on whilst watching football on the big TV!

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful time at the barn. The location was beautiful, with plenty of scenic walks nearby. What really stood out was the homemade jam, it was delicious! The bed was extremely comfy, and the skylights were another highlight. Michael and Caroline were extremely helpful and friendly, great hosts overall. No complaints whatsoever. If there were any, it’d be that the pictures of the barn don’t do it justice! Absolutely beautiful in person. Would recommend!!!
