Over the years my family has stayed a many houses across the globe and we can say without a doubt this is one of our absolute favorites. This is our second stay and I can not say enough good things about the house, it’s amazing location and views as well as the amazing hosts. My family absolutely loves this property.

A fabulous house with all the little extras not found in other air bnbs. Plenty of toilet paper, shampoo and conditioner in all bathrooms. Extra pantry items to make cooking a breeze. Games, kayaks, flexible seating for a large group. Neil has thought of everything!

Absolutely amazing to be right on the water, watching the tide come in & go out, seeing boats & yachts passing by. Peaceful, bushy surrounds blissfully listening to bird life. Clean & comfortable furnishings, & has everything needed (& more) in the kitchen & other living areas both inside & out. Peter & Raisa were communicative, helpful, responsive & lovely hosts. It was great to get out & explore the island with lots of hidden gems, fishing spots, & friendly locals. Catching mud crabs was a bonus with the supplied crab pots. Yum! Great house & location, would definitely stay again & recommend to others.

Wonderful beach house in a great location. Very comfortable and family friendly. Re-ignited our love for Straddie.

Ainsley’s home is a home away from home. Open, modern and spacious. It includes everything you could possibly need. Huge fridge with unlimited supply of ice cubes!!Tastefully decorated with special unexpected additions. Our large, big dog loved the area and morning walks along the beach and park. Ainsley is a perfect host. Her immediate response to a query we had was answered and solved immediately. So friendly and helpful. We would love to return and stay again soon. Thank you Ainsley!!

Fantastic location with sandy beach right in front, very friendly hosts and clean place. Boat ramp next door and public swimming area provides entertainment and other people/kids for our kids to interact with. We anchored our boat right out the front and could easily keep an eye on it which was a big plus for us, not that there was any issue in the calm waters during our stay. Friendly neighbours also deserve a mention making you feel at home. Would love to stay here again in the future and may make it a regular holiday destination. Thank you Sue and Peter.

Sean was very easy to talk to, always answered within a reasonable time. He gave us plenty of information about the area which was a positive too! Nice house set up and the air conditioner worked an absolute charm!

What a perfect space for a couple. Absolutely loved our stay here, right across from the beach and a Koala in the tree next door. With every single amenity and supply you could think of - and the best coffee machine that I've ever seen at an airbnb. Will definitely book again!

Our stay was Superb. Great location within minutes drive to the Harbour, waterfront and quality plus restaurants. Russell's house had everything you could possibly require. A full size refrigerator, latest coffee machine, all TV services and best of all the huge pool in the back yard. Crystal clear with lovely bushland out back. It was so relaxing and tranquil. I can't believe how relaxed I feel. Hassle free check in and check out. The nicest people and place I've come across in a long time. I would recommend this stay to everyone. Lisa is an excellent host, and would recommend her and this property to other Guests. The property itself would happily support the 12 Guests advertised with a number of living/entertainment areas together with Pool Table and Swimming Pool.

Beautiful spot. Big enough for all of us (2 adults and 4 kids) Walking distance to great restaurants, fish and chip shop and boardwalk. Woolies is also only a short walk away.

This was our first visit to Straddie and it was a cracker! Just loved the island and definitely planning to return. The holiday was family based we loved the sectionalised bedrooms with one family downstairs near the pool, the second larger family taking the two bedrooms near the living quarters and my husband & I top floor with a birds eye view from our balcony and the ensuite has a great outdoors feel the louver windows open up to a nature reserve at the back of the house, so it was ffantastic to watch the kangaroos & birds while sitting on the loo. All the bedrooms had access to private breakout balconies allowing everyone to be able to chillout at will. Very much needed on holiday. There was enough room for the boat and cars. We could have done with better lounge seating (there simply wasn't enough for eight adults to sit comfortably and watch telly- first world problem) It didn't overly bother anyone but it was noticed.

My family (2 adults, 2 young children) recently holidayed here for 5 nights during the school holidays. The home was interesting architecturally and we enjoyed a relaxing stay, nestled among the trees with plenty of birdsong, kangaroos and insects buzzing. While the home was comfortable and had what we needed, potential guests should be aware of several unusual characteristics: the house is only accessible via a steep set of stairs that has no handrails, the bathroom and toilet facilities are in a separate pavilion to the main house (which can make nighttime toileting more challenging), two of the bedrooms have no windows but unscreened sliding doors that cannot be secured once opened, most of the door/window frames have material gaps that admit insects and drafts. It rained during our stay (in September) and the house (which has no insulation) became quite cold. There are blankets and a heater provided. Shoes are not allowed inside. No tv, but plenty of books and games.

Had a wonderful 4 days stay at this delightful home. We had all the amenities we needed, extremely comfortable, roomy and peaceful. Great location and so close to the water in a quiet neighbourhood. Communication was exceptional, immediate responses and clear instructions, although we didn’t want for anything because it was all so well set up. Looking forward to staying again in future. 5 stars!

Jessica welcomed my children and I when we had to find emergency accommodation after the Christmas night tornado on the Gold Coast and lost half our home. We immediately felt so welcomed and so at home. From the beautiful care hamper Jessica left for us, to the messages from Jessica of support and well wishes. Her home is perfectly positioned in lovely Margate. It is extremely clean, has everything you need, and even welcomed our fur baby. Jessica is so lovely and warm and ensured we felt at home. The kids loved the cubby house and even our doggo went down the slide a couple of times. We spent nearly three weeks at Jessica’s home and never felt like we were over staying our welcome. Thank you for everything Jessica. You are amazing and your home is very special.
