Birds Rest exceeded our expectations and our experience was much more than what Saliya promised. He is a very caring and gracious host! He went the extra mile in looking after our needs and even helped us in ordering and bringing our meals to us. Whatever our needs were, he would do his utmost to support us. Also, we felt very secure and safe at his place because he lives next door and is constantly watchful. We highly recommend Birds Rest and the hospitality of our new friend Saliya!

Had a wonderful stay at That Place! The ambiance was absolutely serene and cozy, making it a perfect retreat. The outdoor pool was lovely, complemented by a well maintained garden area that added to the charm. A truly relaxing and delightful experience!

Great place to stay. New, spacious 3 story, 4 bedroom house, nicely furnished with all the amenities for meals and cooking if desired. Bathrooms spotless with ample hot water. All bed rooms are air-conditioned, high speed internet in all areas and TV with a long list of channels on the middle floor living area. Washing machine also available. Udara's father was at the house to hand over the keys and check in was a breeze. Check out was also handled easily and efficiently. There is ample space for a large family group to stay with multiple common areas to hangout. Udara's place is walking distance to Monarch Imperial Hotel, Bakery at the Lake and an extensive collection of street food stalls. Several supermarkets are also within walking distance. Neighborhood is peaceful and safe. Overall we had an excellent experience staying at Udara's place and I would recommend it without reservations.

Host communicated well! Instructions were helpful and check-in was easy. Clean and well maintained house. Highly recommended.

Ryan was an exceptional host. Very warm and welcoming. He was also available for us anytime over call or evwn a message. Regarding the stay everything was taken care of as mentioned in the listing. The place is well maintained and organized. The location is at walkable distance from supermarkets like keels and cargills and also from public transport. All kitchen essentials were present for light cooking. Bathrooms had the necessary toileteries. The rooms were spacious. The washing machine was in good condition. Iron provided was good. No issues with internet, electricity and water as well. We stayed at the property for 9 nights and we always felt at home. Would definitely recommend this property to others. Suggestion would be to put a clock in the living area and bedrooms if possible.

Had an amazing two-night stay at this beautiful villa. The place was super clean, uniquely designed by the host, and full of little details that made it feel special. You can tell a lot of care has been put into it. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming, always making sure everything was perfect. Dallas was a great host. He was a very friendly, very helpful and a very welcoming sort of a person. When I arrived at his place it was pass midnight, nevertheless he was awake to welcome me. The facilities were great, not only the room and the bathroom the whole apartment was at my disposal. Very clean, spacious, quiet and very secure. In case I go back to Colombo again I will definitely stay there and would recommend to any future traveller. Excellent value for money.

Such a lovely location! I celebrated my daughter's birthday here with our two doggies, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful day. The garden and indoor spaces offer plenty of room, making it ideal for gatherings. The staff were exceptional—attentive, supportive, and genuinely helpful, which made everything run smoothly. I’m so glad I chose this Amy's Haven and can’t wait to visit again!

I booked the home for 6 adults and 2 kids, and we had a wonderful 5 day stay. We spent our days swimming in the pool (long enough for laps!); lounging by the pool drinking tea or reading or playing board games; indulging in the most delicious meals cooked by Manjula; listening to the waves crash on the beach that’s a small coconut grove away; or taking naps in the comfortable beds in our airy bedrooms, which were beautifully decorated. Evocative of the Geoffrey Bawa style (a Murad Ismail masterpiece), this style of home may be the best way to enjoy all that Sri Lanka offers. The garden is beautiful. We rarely saw any mosquitos (I still sprayed my kids), despite us spending most of our time in the open veranda/lounge by the pool. Manjula is an excellent chef and cooked a bday lunch for 20. All of my Sri Lankan relatives - the toughest food critics of all - loved his food. Crab curry, hoppers, kotthu roti, chicken curry done 3 ways, butter cake, we had it all! We hope to be back!

Thank you for the most beautiful and pure experience in nature. Together with my boyfriend, we enjoyed every second in this hidden, breathtaking space. In the middle of the nature - the best food served fresh and experimental every day. We felt in heaven. I will come again. ❤️

Sudu and team provided the absolute best hospitality and service we could ever wish for. Every detail - communication, meals, transportation - was managed perfectly with touching kindness and thoughtfulness, and the highlight standards of professionalism. Our every need was anticipated, including staying up until 2am to greet us after our flight was delayed, offering us a late checkout after lunch without us asking, along with many more special touches such as bringing us homemade local sweets for New Year’s Day, providing amazing fish barbecue in addition to delicious vegetarian meals, meticulous cleaning of common areas, offering to drive us to our next destination and immediately attending to any small issue that arose with such graciousness and professionalism. They took extra care to accommodate our 2 year old by providing baby chair, preparing special meals for her and they even washed all the bottles. We can’t thank you enough. I’m travelling solo and this place was just perfect for me, right in the heart of beautiful lush greens and small rivers, I had a wonderful time. It’s very secluded and I enjoyed that, definitely a place for nature lovers in the sense that, you’re in nature lol. Lots of sitting space and there is an a/c inside which is definitely needed. Vinodh and his wife provided snacks, water, milk, juice, and tea, what a hospitable host, I literally cannot say enough about them. He always answered me, helped arrange activities, and he made me an Incredible spread for breakfast ( which I really miss now). I have to mention, the river safari he arranged for me was on of the highlights of my trip so far, I highly recommend it, DANESH WAS THE BEST!! Just book it, you won’t regret it

This is a beautiful spacious property in a fabulous location with a sea view to die for. We were a little concerned as not many reviews, but this is often let as 2 homes together. Alexander was swift to respond and communicate this to us. Sam was always responsive and Dinesh was always on hand to look after us. The dogs are very friendly and absolutely no trouble at all. We already love this area in Sri Lanka, and loved it even more staying here.

We loved our stay. The property was initially a bit hard to find as the number was hidden by foliage. However, once the shutters opened, we discovered a true gem. The front veranda, garden and swimming pool are gorgeous for relaxing. The bedroom and bathroom are both spacious and beautifully designed. Senarath was at-hand at all times to assist, spoke good English and even fetched us some beer when we couldn’t find any at the local supermarket. Top notch hospitality!

Mohammed’s place was great value for money. It’s a modern, spacious, and fully furnished apartment. Very convenient access to all supermarkets, and other shops. We got a unit on the second floor which had great views from its balconies. We enjoyed the fireworks display from the balconies when the clock struck 12 on 1st Jan 2022. The kitchen has all utensils needed to cook your own meals. However, we noticed there wasn’t a gas cylinder owing to the current situation in the country. Still managed to cook most of our meals using the rice cooker. A hot plate or an induction cooker would be a nice addition. The building manager Mr. Mirzan was very nice and was flexible with all our requests. He made sure our stay at Amaze Residence was a pleasant one. We will definitely visit again.

We had a great 3 nights, we had a friendly welcome and they were very helpful If we needed anything it was attended to ASAP which made our stay great A special thank you to Ruwan and his wife for all their help in taking our luggage up to the third floor and back down when it was time for us to leave, which was an extreme help. We are remote workers. We lived in this apartment for 1 month at the April. This is really comfortable place. The owner was very hospitable and caring. We have made lists of the pros and cons of this apartment. Pros: 1. Good plumbing, nice water pressure and temperature; 2. Responsive owner who promptly resolves all issues; 3. The apartment is in good condition with good furniture., it is comfortable to live and work in this apartment; 4. The kitchen is equipped with you need for cooking. There is a microwave, blender, rice cooker, electric kettle, stove with oven, washing machine; 5. The owner brings us fresh towels, bed linen with change. free cleaning every week; 6. Several Internet networks with good speed and without restrictions. Cons: 1. Noisy. The owner's dogs bark loudly. Loud music plays next door on weekends. 2. Supermarkets on the main street 30 minutes walk. The beach is 45 minutes walk.

Such a beautiful tranquil position set in the jungle environment …. Beach accessible via the readily available Tuktuk with the ever available villa manager. Though the spring water pool at the villa was more than enough for keeping cool

Being a Sri Lankan this home felt like home for us! Home away from home! So peaceful and quiet! Chaminda and his team were super responsive and helpful and would go above and beyond to help out! Sri Lankan hospitality at its best! Thank you so much!
