We had such a great stay at Ania & John's place. It was so peaceful and comfortable, we felt so at home. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, they even brought us a coffee grinder when we asked if the place had one. Exactly as described, with very nice amenities and super comfortable bed. We appreciated the use of the pool and outdoor gazebo area. This place was our favorite during our stay on the island, and we would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful place to stay and really thoughtful, communicative hosts! Jeff and Sheri have thought of everything and Jeff was full of helpful suggestions for things to do and see around Kona. The house was extremely clean and well-appointed. The neighborhood was quiet and close to everything. Loved staying here!

Linda welcomed us and showed us her garden, explaining about the local plants, was thoughtful with the kids — and of course we love the gentle, friendly dogs. The place was as described, and a great location for visiting green sand beach, volcanes national park and black sand beach. Very clean and homey. Thank you!

LeeAnne and Evan’s suite was the perfect place for our family’s time in the Kona area. We loved the nearby neighbourhood shops, and it was in good proximity to all the great beaches and downtown. The space and yard was beautifully kept and we spent lots of time relaxing on the lanai. Would stay again and would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay at Lorelle Petite Retreat apartment. We loved the location being on the hill; it was nice, cool and tranquil. The space was clean and well shocked. Lorelle is a very generous, friendly person.We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Geoff's rental is in a beautiful location. Come out of the unit, turn left, and with a 5 minute walk you'll be at stunning Laie Point, one of the most scenic vistas we encountered on Oahu. Come out of the unit, turn right and with another 5 minute walk you'll be at, what I was told was, Bikini Beach. A small, uncrowded beach with mountains as its bachdrop. The unit itself was spotless with a modern vibe. My daughter thought her mattress was the best she has slept on. There was plenty of beach equipment to use and an off street parking spot. We found Laie to be a convenient location to visit all of Oahu. We were extremely happy with our rental and would highly recommend it to anyone.

This is such a lovely place to stay. The home is artfully designed and appointed by Sybil herself, she designed and had the home built. Some of her colorful lively art furnishes the home too. I loved the screened lanai kitchen and the upper level whale watch sitting area. Her aesthetic taste highlights the natural surrounding beauty. It’s so quiet, except for the lizards talking at night and the sound of the waves! Niketa is a really attentive and helpful caretaker of the property, and Sybil is delightful and so knowledgeable on the Hawaiian, and specifically Hāna culture and history. The sense of Aloha is alive and well here. It was hard to leave:) I’ll be back!

Dorothy and Alii's place was great. Convenient location close to a lot of food. It was nice that they had a washer and dryer for guests to use. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. My only note is that the walls are paper thin so if you are sensitive to noise, this is not the place to be. I was able to hear dogs barking all night and any noise coming from the folks who live upstairs.

We enjoyed our stay in this stylish suite. Our host provided several amenities such as snorkel equipment, beach chairs, boogie boards and beach towels which saved us time and money. The location was a short drive to the best beach on the island (Kua Bay) and about 20 minutes to shops and restaurants.

This is our second time staying with Jennifer because we love this peaceful spot in Captain Cook so much. The apartment is lovely - so comfortable with a great deck to view the ocean and beautiful lush surroundings. Jennifer and Mike are great hosts, always responsive and kind. This so less developed area sprinkled with coffee farms and farm stands offers a wonderful respite from the busy tourist development of Kona. Hike or kayak to Captain Cook and explore the road less traveled. Highly recommend.

We spent 2 very comfortable nights at Debby’s place. The bed is soft and welcoming after a day of hiking in Volcanoes NP and out to Green Sands beach. This is possibly one of the cleanest AirBnBs we have stayed in. The craftsmanship in building this place is top notch. Debby always answered messages promptly. The location felt so safe, we slept both nights with only the screen door. I would stay here again if returning to Hawaii island and would happily recommend this rental to others. We loved the frogs!!

We had a 5-night stay at James & Hans’ from Feb 23-28, 2025 and overall had a wonderful stay. PROS: We were pleasantly surprised with all the extra local goodies they provided for us (local beers, coffee, snacks). I really appreciated the water refill station. They left us plenty of clean towels, linens, and beach equipment as well! We made use of the record player, air conditioning, and enjoyed the variety of plants around the pool. We ran into James one day in person and he was the friendliest host who answered all our questions and gave us golf course, cocktail bar, and restaurant recommendations. CONS: There are a few dogs around the area that woke us up prematurely. We saw a large centipede and a couple of roaches outdoors by the pool (but none in our room). TIPS: For future guests, beware that there is a second road on the island with the same name that appears on Google maps that is about an hour further south of the place. Overall would recommend! The place was clean.

We had a lovely one night stay in this property, it was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Very easy to find and the check in instructions were clear. Thoughtful additional touches. Would recommend.

We only needed accommodations for one night while our home was being tented for termites. Stephanie graciously invited us to check in early, which was greatly appreciated! Everything is exactly as pictured and described.

Brad provided great details about local restaurants and activities. Fresh flower arrangements throughout the house were beautiful. Hot tub, pool and grounds were amazing too. Beach, snorkeling and pool items were all provided. Amazing hosts!

Wow! As 2 solo females, staying here with Nancy and Bob we felt so safe and at home! Huge beautiful yard, clean, quiet, and peaceful. Hosts are the kindest people we have met so far on our journey. Did not want to leave and we will definitely be back to stay again!

This was much better than staying in some faceless industrial hotel or resort. The kitchen was well stocked with those small things like olive oil, spices and even coffee. The bathroom was also well stocked with extras such as a band-aid which came in handy. The lanai was beautiful and private and came with its own geckos. 🦎 The beach gear came in real handy.

Very welcoming hosts! We felt at home at their place and enjoyed waking up to the roosters and hens. It was nice being surrounded by nature but also within about 15-20 minutes to city life.

The apartment is in a private, quiet neighborhood. It is a 5 minute drive from Kailua-Kona downtown where there are lots of restaurants, bars, and other things to do. Its a great home base to explore Big Island. The bathroom and kitchen were all clean and well-stocked. My wife and I especially enjoyed greeting Luna, the family dog, every morning and evening. We would stay here next time we visit Big Island.

We had a great time staying at Kaia’s place! She is a very responsive and friendly host! The place is very nice and well stocked with every necessity you could think of! As a bonus, you get serenaded to sleep by the beautiful sounds of frogs singing every night! One thing I had been concerned about was I realized a week before the trip that the place didn’t have AC. I am a bit of a baby when it comes to that so I was a little worried… It was a completely unnecessary concern. The place was perfectly comfortable and even on the cool side at night. The ceiling fan is incredibly powerful and there are other fans as well. Don’t let that deter you!

This place was perfect for our short stay on the big island! It was a very spacious studio and had everything we needed. Aki was such a friendly host and we would love to return in the future!
