Great place. bigger than expected but not as close to downtown as we hoped. not a deal breaker but neighborhood was a little run down. Looks like it's coming back though! We had a really good time and we're able to enjoy the wonderful little town of Valpo and see our daughter's last home basketball game! Would recommend this place and will stay again!

Grandad and small kids loved it. Great place to visit dunes. Wife is more of a Marriott person and it is not that type of place. Host was super responsive and friendly. Close to everything. The only small negatives was that we are not used to the sulfur smelling water and a little musty smelling (opening a window fixed that).

What a wonderful stay! We brought our pup and were able to go for beautiful spring walks in the woods. It was a comfortable, spacious stay with absolutely everything you could possibly need. Very thoughtful and responsive hosts. We’re well rested and ready for the next school term 🙏🏼 We will be back in the summer when all the tall trees will be in their summer array and we can enjoy the lakeside more. Xx

What a Wonderful Cozy Cottage! If only we had the time to stay longer! We enjoyed our stay very much. Easy access and clear instructions to check in and check out. Danny responded quickly with any of our questions. We'll definitely book again the next time we visit. Loved the front and back porches which would be nice spots to enjoy in warmer weather. The Keurig with K-cups, sugar/sweetener, and creamer in the refrigerator was so nice for us since we just stayed one night and could enjoy a cuppa without going out for supplies.

AMAZING LOCATION! I'd like to point out that I stayed in this location for a month. I'd also like to point out that I will be returning. This place was very clean, neat and newly renovated. I have a phobia of bugs and didn't encounter anything the entire stay. The neighbors were very nice. The block was peaceful and not to busy. Not to mention Nikki was the best host that I could've ever asked for. She was extremely responsive and very personable.

Absolutely the hardest place to say bye to after being there awhile. A perfect piece of home without missing any if the necessaries/luxuries.

Area: secluded, yet within a quick drive to the city center of Valpo. This area of Indiana is great for its proximity to the Lake Michigan southern shoreline as well as Chicago. You can drive up to one of the South Shore line train stations and take the train in to Chicago to save yourself the headache of driving in the city. House: A beautiful property with view of the lake. Updated amenities, great dual shower in the master bedroom, and large with multiple bedrooms. Visiting from the noise and crowds of Manhattan, this quiet and peaceful property was a welcome respite. Host: Daniel was one of the most responsive hosts I’ve had the pleasure of working with. For example, he reached out to me to let me know the food I had ordered had been delivered to a neighbor’s house, and even let my local parents come grab a suit that I had left in the closet after a hasty departure to the airport. Can’t recommend highly enough!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Mari-Beth's and had fun exploring Valparaiso. She is a gracious host and provided lots of thoughtful amenities like extra linens, brita pitchers, and white noise machines by the bedside. We booked both units and it was spacious enough for ten of us. Check in was quick and easy and the unit was clean and comfortable. Location was great, a few blocks from all the cute shops and restaurants, along with easy street parking. I would highly recommend Mari-Beth as a host and we would stay here again.

With a student at Valparaiso University, this location could not be better for a weekend visit. Close to campus and walkable to all the great spots downtown. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Nice private, quiet place to stay. Stayed longer term due to construction job in the area. Diana was very accommodating and cleaned every week. Did linens, removed trash, provided snacks, water, coffee, etc. Very friendly and flexible. This place works well for me as a construction worker.

I highly recommend Shawn & Emily’s place if ever in the Valpo area. The location was perfectly situated in the heart of the downtown area within a stone’s throw of some great restaurants, coffee houses and a speciality gourmet market. The place itself was very comfortable, very clean and very spacious.. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. We had a night when the area was hit with a power outage due to a bad storm and the hosts were very compassionate and made us feel at ease with the situation. We will definitely consider staying at their place again.

Loved staying at this Airbnb. Everything was clean and instructions were clear. Hosts were great at communicating and very friendly! :) This location is perfect if you want to explore the dunes and beaches in the surrounding area.

This was one of the best Airbnb stays I have had yet. I was on a long term clinical rotation and needed a place to live for over a month. The location itself is a nice marina which was not busy during the months I stayed (winter). The place itself was clean, and offered an at home feel perfect for just myself. I always looked forward to coming home from long days and relaxing. Has everything you need and was mostly pleased with the fireplace and having access the an outdoor seating area/sight of the marina. Would easily stay again and recommend to just about anybody!

Dave made us feel right at home and answered any questions we had. His place is near restaurants and stores which were very convenient! It is also a 12 minute drive to the national park and there are so many places to check out. It’s about a 45 minute drive to Chicago and there’s a train nearby if you want to take that instead into the city. I highly recommend staying here Dave’s place was clean and he was an amazing host!

My best friend celebrated her birthday this weekend and we were looking for a relaxing place to getaway. Our condo was exactly what we needed! Joel was helpful and quick to respond to every question we had! The location was very private and we felt safe. There was absolutely no disruptions! Our favorite part of the weekend was after our adventures during the day we had a lovely environment to return to and the fireplace to sit by and unwind. Thank you for this amazing location......highly recommend!
