Our host, Tom, accommodated our family with a last minute request that was outside the typical stay parameters after another host had to do a last minute cancel on us for an unforeseen circumstance. He was the nicest host we've ever had! The home was very spacious, comfortable, spotless and well appointed. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, paper supplies and all our cooking needs. Beds had soft, comfortable bedding. Bathrooms stocked with soaps, shampoos and plenty of towels. We truly just had to bring ourselves and the food/drink to enjoy a wonderful family Christmas stay. I highly recommend this AirBnb and we will definitely stay with this host again whenever we are in the area. Thank you!

My husband and I accompanied our adult daughter on a trip to Richmond for her to look for a rental beginning this summer. We really liked the neighborhood & were fortunate to have a warm sunny day in March to enjoy the front porch. We would stay here again.

I was having work done on my house and needed a place I could stay with my two dogs. Boy, did I luck out. Mary and Patty were flexible with my plans and their home made my two weeks out of my house very comfortable. The place is just as pictured, cozy yet comfortable. The back yard was great for my dogs. The home was well stocked from the kitchen to the amount of towels to the toilet paper. I highly recommend the Casita in the Park. And while I hope I never have to stay again, should I need to, I look forward to it!

Perfect place to stay for a weekend away and a wedding venue close by!

I live in the neighborhood and needed a place to put up friends visiting from out of town. This home is beautiful, well-equipped, and in a prime, walkable location with a great view of the city. I was disappointed to learn somewhat last minute that due to Airbnb restrictions, holding even a small event in the house costs an additional $350 and requires party insurance and a day-of liquor license. That being said, it was my bad not to have asked for this info prior to booking. Thank you for having us Brooke!

My mom and I stayed here and we loved it. It’s so cute. We love the historic home feel and decorations. The bed was very comfy. I want to come back with my husband now! Highly recommend. Close to cute stores and antique places too.

The place is big and was perfect for our office party. Everybody enjoyed their stay and had everything we needed. We will be back definitely in the summer.

This was such an incredible stay. We loved the farm and so did our dogs. They spent a long weekend off leash romping around with Luke’s very sweet dog and admiring his stunning Percheron and thoroughbred. My husband and I agreed, petting horses is good for the soul. His log cabin was disassembled, re located, and re built by him. He’s adorned it with a selection of antiques and reclaimed pieces that are truly enchanting and create such a fabulously unique atmosphere that was truly one of a kind. Prior to our stay I had read the reviews mentioning he had antiques and asked about local stores. Not only did he make recommendations, he stopped in 3 locations and got cards for us from each and let them know we may stop by prior to our arrival. We are already looking at dates for our next stay. This place is truly a slice of heaven on earth and an ode to unique and wonderful things that have existed in the world long before we existed and a display of creativity and craftsmanship. Place was just as described. We had a good stay at the host’s secure and quiet apartment. Would certainly consider staying in the future. A good place for a couple people staying for a brief trip to RVA. Host was very responsive and provided all listed amenities.

We really enjoyed Shannon’s place. It was better than the pictures. It was in a quiet neighborhood and we felt right at home. The beds were comfy and the showers were great. The coffee bar was fun to try all the flavors. We realized checkout was on daylight savings. Shannon was awesome and allowed us a late checkout. I would highly recommend staying here.

Amazing location, the best stay we have had. The views was scenic, peaceful, beautiful! We loved this place sooo much! Clean in side, has everything you need from port to pans to linens and comforters. So much fun here!

During our stay there were several weather related issues. The electricity went out because of the weather. Since I was not the owner of the property, I could not report the outage to the power company. Once I informed Edna about the situation, she immediately contacted the power company, provided me with the information I would need to check on power status, and had the power company contact me. Edna was prompt with responses when there were some complications with her cleaning service.

This house is awesome. It's huge and priced very competitively. It did have issues, but they didn't bother us too much. If you're expecting perfection from a home this size, at this location at this price, you're not being reasonable. For our needs, it was PERFECT.

The location and all amenities were as described! Simone was extremely proactive about reaching out and checking in throughout our stay. Place was clean. Was a great, walkable neighborhood for my dog and I, and the fenced in backyard was a bonus! It is chain-link and not particularly high, so just keep that in mind depending on your dog’s needs.

Mateo was incredibly responsive and helpful. He made sure that we arrived safely and had everything we needed. The house was super clean and had everything we needed to make breakfast etc. Also, the backyard was the perfect space for our dog to get some energy out. I would 100% return!
