Unique, authentic and clean! We were looking for a place where to stay in the mountains and still have the Italian authentic small vila - and we found it. It was rainy when we stayed, but it didn’t changed our plans and the vibe as the villa itself has the coziness that fits any weather. Highly recommended place to stay if you want to feel the unique and authentic vibe.

Casa rustica, ma accogliente e perfetta per una fuga dalla citta nella natura. Ottima pulizia e gli host sono molto cortesi e veloci nelle risposte, ma i veri punti di forza della casa sono ovviamente il paesaggio, la jacuzzi riscaldata, che anche con un un clima freddo risulta veramente rilassante e menzione d'onore alla stufa, che quando torni dalla jacuzzi col freddo, ti regala un ottimo momento di relax, davanti al fuoco creando un ambiente molto piacevole e rilassante. Consigliato!

La maison est très spacieuse et le jardin est vraiment très agréable. La cuisine et la salle de bain principale (immense) sont rénovées. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié que les chambres soient climatisées surtout que nous y étions dans la période la plus chaude. Cependant, nous étions étonnés de devoir acheter des sacs poubelle, car il y en avait seulement un pour chaque poubelle, sauf pour le compost qui en avait plusieurs. Pareil pour le papier toilette, il y avait juste 1 par salle de bain. La piscine était très chaude et le jardin très bien équipé. Nous avons eu un lit bébé moyennant un supplément de 10€/jour ce qui était un peu cher. Il y avait des jouets pour enfant, mais pas de chaise haute (bon à savoir). Il faut savoir que l’accès est un peu cahoteux et qu’il faut bien ouvrir l’œil pour voir le virage pour le chemin qui mène à la maison. Ça a l’avantage d’être très calme et intime.

We really enjoyed our holiday at cas nel bosco, the house is very quiet and close to nature. We liked that very much. The pool and the garden offer total relaxation. We already miss everything very much. In the valley it was often 32 degrees in the first week and upstairs in the house it was very pleasant. The pool was super refreshing. The house has everything you need and the small village of Medicina is very charming. The access road is narrow and very winding, but we also saw some wildlife. Communication with Francesca and Paola was straightforward and enquiries were answered immediately. Thank you very much, we had a great holiday.

Schöne Aussicht, 20 min mit dem Auto von der nächsten Stadt entfernt, ohne Auto nicht erreichbar. Die Kommunikation lief super, das Haus war mit Navi gut zu finden & die Gegend ist sehr schön

The location is superb, great views and has a very cosy feel. The kitchen and living area on the ground floor were spacious and welcoming, while the private terrace made for a lovely place to have breakfast with an amazing view every morning. The bathroom and bedroom, situated at the first floor, were very clean and well equipped and the view from the bed was amazing every day. Our host Fabio was very friendly, informative and helpful informing us about best times to visit the main tourist attactions of Tuscany and where we could find the best restaurants and shops in the area. All in all an amazing stay! Totally recommend!

Such a beautiful place!!! Loved staying here outside the hustle and bustle of Florence. The place is huge - big living room and good sized bedroom. Also has the cutest little kitchen!

La casa è bella e offre tutti i servizi necessari. La strada per arrivare, soprattutto nell'ultimo tratto, si inerpica un po', tuttavia non è stato difficile raggiungere l'alloggio. Si gode di una bella vista e della tranquillità della natura, la strada è trafficata pochissimo ed è possibile uscire a piedi per fare una splendida passeggiata nei boschi. Le camere sono accoglienti, i letti comodi, i bagni funzionali, gli spazi per mangiare e rilassarsi sufficientemente spaziosi (eravamo 4 adulti e 2 cani). Il riscaldamento dei termosifoni avviene attraverso la cucina a legna, inizialmente serve prendere un po' di dimestichezza ma una volta scaldata la casa risulterà molto confortevole e il fuoco del legno è un ottimo compagno per trascorrere momenti di relax e tranquillità lontano dal caos e dalla frenesia. Chris è stato molto gentile e disponibile e ci ha fornito tutte le indicazioni. Un solo suggerimento: una guida sull'uso della cucina a legna

Paola was the sweetest and made our stay very enjoyable. We had a lot of rain during our stay so didn’t get to spend as much time outside as I had hoped, but this home was very cozy and the small town nearby made for some easy little outings without having to go into Florence, which was only a 20-30 minute drive. Highly recommend having a car for visiting!

We, 2 couples a baby and a dog, enjoyed our week at this lovely location. After a quite rocky and adventurous road, the house is situated in the midst of the beautiful tuscan landscape with wine hills and olive trees. From the lovely pool which was only for us we enjoyed those lovely views. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped, including a nice barbecue ourside. Florence is reachable within about 45 minutes by car and there are two little towns about 10-15 minutes away with big grocery stores, restaurants and gelaterias. Andrea and Gianni were super helpful, responsive and lovely hosts. We would highly recommend Le Spugne.

We spent a fantastic month in Simone’s beautiful house and all our dreams for a relaxing and stimulating stay came true. The house is perfectly placed in the village and is well equipped with a lovely fenced garden providing a stunning view of the mountains. Perfect for us to relax in and for our dogs to roam about. The village is called “one of the most beautiful villages in Italy” and really lives up to the reputation and it always feels safe to be out and about. It combines the historic parts with everything you need for food and wine. There are (at least) three great restaurants plus a gelateria almost next door to the house. If you like cooking yourself, you will appreciate the two grocery stores, the butcher and the baker, all within walking distance. The Friday market in the village square offers fresh vegetables and fruit, amazing cheese and salami etc. Dinners outside in the garden are very nice, even in October. Our stay at Simone’s house is already a very dear memory!

My family and I spent a week at the cottage during the Christmas holidays, and we had a wonderful time. The cottage is strategically located in the mountains near Florence, offering a stunning view of the Arno River valley and Florence. The property is comfortable, quiet, and ideal for a contemplative, restful vacation. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the heating is both efficient and sustainable. Giacomo was responsive and warmly welcomed us, providing excellent guidance on local attractions. It was a pleasure to spend time at his property. Highly recommended! Alvaro

Het huis van Alessia & David is authentiek, rustig gelegen (heel privé) en heeft een prachtige tuin omgeven door olijven- en vruchtenbomen. Het uitzicht is prachtig en wij hebben tot de late avontuurtjes in een sfeervol verlichte tuin van een wijntje genoten. Supermarkten en restaurants zijn op schappelijke rijafstand, reken wel op veel haarspeldbochten want je zit bovenop een berg. A&D zijn supervriendelijke hosts die overal bij willen helpen en zelfs een wijntje en olijfolie kado geven. Bijzonder! Kleine tip: denk aan muggenspray of een klamboe, want je wordt anders opgevreten door de muggen. Lokale aanrader: neem de Funicolare naar Montecatini Alto en ga boven heerlijk eten bij Caffè Giusti.

Quarrata is a great little village and the house is in a pretty location in the country, surrounded by olive trees and rolling hills. its a 2.5km walk or a quick drive, so if you're staying there, it's really useful to have a vehicle. It's peaceful, has everything you need incl a washing machine, and Eleonora is a great, responsive and friendly host. It is up a couple of flights of stairs so just be aware of that. Because of that the views are gorgeous. True Tuscan loveliness.

Sehr herzlicher Empfang durch den Vermieter. Das Haus und seine Technik wurde umfassend erklärt. Das Haus ist voll ausgestattet. Viel mehr als sonst üblich. Haushaltsgegenstände und sogar Verbrauchsmaterial, Toilettenpapier, Küchenpapier, Spülmittel, sogar Duschgel waren vorhanden. Wir haben einen wunderschönen Begrüßungskorb mit Lebensmitteln und dem selbstgemachten Olivenöl vorgefunden. Vielen Dank für die herzliche Begrüßung! Wir haben das Haus im Winter gebucht und die Heizung funktionierte prima. Es war immer warm und wohlig. Eine wunderschöne Weihnachtsdeko wurde uns präsentiert und hat Weihnachten zu einem Erlebnis gemacht. Der Vermieter stand immer mit Rat und Tat, Restaurantsuche, Tierklinik etc.zur Verfügung und hat uns super unterstützt. Vielen Dank . Wir sind mit 2 Hunden angereist. Aufgrund des großen und vollständig eingezäunten Grundstückes, konnten die Hunde siich austoben. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen und wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit.

Was the perfect stay for me and my wife on our honeymoon across Italy. Beautiful property with everything you need! Also very close to a small town with all the essentials including a co-op store for great local groceries. They make the most amazing olive oil on the property, honestly the best I have ever had in my life. Great place to relax and rent a car so you can visit all the local restaurants and wineries!

Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft von Stefania sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Wir wurden persönlich von Ihr empfangen, haben alles sehr gut erklärt bekommen. Alles ist sehr sauber und entspricht der Beschreibung. Man sollte wissen, dass in der Unterkunft kein/sehr schlechtes WLAN ist. Dass wird aber von Stefania auch nicht beworben :) Wer hier einen ruhigen Urlaub fernab der Menschenmassen, jedoch in guter Reichweite zum Meer und allen bedeutungsvollen Städten verleben möchte, ist hier Goldrichtig. Overall, we loved the home. Can't beat the views, friendly and helpful host and convenient location for visiting numerous attractions in Tuscany. A couple call-outs for future guests. - I used the directions linked in the Airbnb app and it brought me to a different home with an owner who didn't speak English and was confused why we were there. An uncomfortable way to start. The host was kind and helped us find the way. Make sure you have the correct directions before you depart. - if you're sensitive to bugs, it's worth knowing that we had mosquitoes and flies pestering us during our stay. It wouldn't stop us from staying there again but worth noting. - you will need to plan a supermarket trip; consumable essentials are not provided like hand soap, salt & pepper, cooking oil, trash bags, etc. Neither of these things would prevent us from staying again as all the positives outweighed the negative.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt bei Laura, trotz des nicht so guten Wetters. Die Terrasse bietet einen wunderbaren Blick in die Landschaft und lässt nichts vermissen. Laura war immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!

It was a very nice week in Tuscany despite the rather rainy weather. The house is wonderful, large, warm, with all the amenities. There is also a wonderful yard with a barbecue, which we did not get to enjoy much, but the fault is only the weather. But our parking place was very convenient. There is complete peace and quiet, it is very relaxing. The location is great - very close to the A11, in 1 hour you can get to Florence, 30-40 minutes to Pisa, 15-20 minutes to Lucca. And to countless other Tuscan beauties. Thank you to Graziella and Marco for the beautiful home, the wonderful welcome and the care they took for us!

A very charming property just outside of Florence. We really enjoyed staying on the property, it’s about a 15 minute drive into town, and was located in a good spot for exploring the Tuscany region. The property has a beautiful chocolate lab named Gina who is very placid and friendly, and we really enjoyed her company. We have been travelling for months now and this was one of the first comfortable mattress we have come across so that was a brilliant bonus. Great little cottage, amazing sunset view looking over Florence. Would stay again.
