It was pretty basic, but what we expected. A lovely view from the swimming pool...and a great location to explore Captain Cook!

Loved everything about this rental and especially the huge lanai! Everything inside was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed having access to the private beach club. We spent several relaxing days hanging out and snorkeling on the beach as well as enjoyed drinks and food at the restaurant, Napua. We grilled out by the pool one night and enjoyed a spectacular view of the sunset over the ocean right from the dining area. Would definitely book this unit again!

Great place. Right across the street from the beach. I stayed when the sand disappeared but still a great location to everything else. Hapuna Beach about an hour away. Costco wasn't too much of a drive. Always the cheapest gas I could find. It could get rowdy outside at times by the pool but they do have quiet hours so nothing that kept me up at night. Balcony has a great view and when the sun sets the sky is gorgeous. This place is immaculately clean. You are on a tropical island. You're going to see bugs. I did kill a couple of roaches. Very small in size compared to the ones I'm used to in FL. Only found in the kitchen. Keep your food in sealed containers and just do a quick open shut on every drawer you open and it shouldnt be a big issue. The only problem I had was when I'd drive up the road that goes into the parking lot. No matter how slow I went it always scraped the bottom. Its very diagonal. Car rental didn't ding me for anything though so shouldn't be a problem.

This was our second time staying at Kathy’s beautiful condo, and it was just as amazing as we remembered! The two-bedroom, top-floor unit is beautifully decorated with a tropical Hawaiian touch, making it feel like a true island getaway. The furniture is comfortable, and the lanai offers breathtaking views of the pool and beach—our favorite spot to relax with a morning coffee or evening drink. The property itself is fantastic, with well-maintained grounds, a stunning pool, and a great outdoor barbecue area. The location on Alili Drive is perfect—peaceful, yet close to everything we needed. Kathy is a wonderful host, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. We absolutely love this place and will definitely be back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful Hawaiian retreat!

Kathy’s place was perfect for our 10-day holiday following 5 weeks of busy traveling … a relaxing paradise. We appreciated the small details (e.g., a full complement of very sharp knives), everything needed to prepare all meals (including a Ninja blender to make smoothies with delicious fresh fruit from the local fruit stands), and absolutely everything you could need for a day at the beach. The condo looks exactly as presented on the website. The beds are comfortable, and the condo was furnished with enough supplies (paper towel, TP, dishwasher and laundry detergent, garbage bags, etc.) to last 10 days. The community’s Pavillion with 5 or 6 gas grills is VERY convenient to the unit, as is the fully furnished workout room. The unit looks down on the pool (a 1 min walk) and there was never an issue with noise. The views from the lanai are peaceful and inspiring. The beaches are lovely, and A-Bay beach is truly a 10-min walk if you take the shortcuts. Stay here - you wont’t regret it!

What a find, amazing location across from a sand beach, nicely decorated, fun water toys, great pool and hot tub, comfy beds, beautiful view and so quite. What more could you ask for. Brenda was so easy to communicate with and we would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.

Kathlyn's place was amazing. Big, clean, beautiful and spacious. Easily accommodated 9 of us no problem. We were greeted by the rush of central air set at 72 degrees when we walked in, which made our stay an A+! The kitchen was big and roomy with all the amenities needed. What can we say about the pool ...but just the perfect for the 3 kids we had. Just a beautiful place strategically located on Ali'i drive within minutes from all the best places in Kona.

We had a lovely stay at Tanya’s place! It was the perfect landing spot for a peaceful, quiet place to relax and still make for easy driving to a lot of attractions. The outdoor deck and lanai were so beautiful. The house was spotless. As Tanya explains in the listing, the downstairs and upstairs are not connected, but it is easy to walk down the exterior stairs to access the second apartment. We spent our Saturday at Waimea farmer’s market (25 mins) and onto Pololu valley lookout and hike (40 more minute drive). On Sunday morning we enjoyed breakfast at Tex drive in (15 mins), continued on to Akaka falls (40 more mins), and last at Onomea Bay trail (20 more mins). It was all the perfect activity-filled weekend and the Airbnb made it so easy to get between places and was a great escape from activity.
