This was an amazing stay!! The house had the most amazing views, tons of space, great kitchen. We felt right at home. The area is gorgeous. It really feels like one of the last undeveloped places on earth. Dirt roads and lots of nature right at the front door! We had a pair of toucans and a pair of Scarlet Mccaws keeping us company. The moneys stopped by to pick bananas, and we had an iguana keeping un company at the pool. It is a really special place! The bedrooms were super comfortable and very well cooled so we slept great. All the recommendations for excursions (deep sea fishing, nature hikes, horseback riding etc.) were all amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

At Andy’s place the adventure comes to you. People pay to be taken out into the jungle for tours to see wildlife that showed up in our yard with no effort. The road to matopalo is rough - can’t be passed without 4wd. I wish we’d had higher suspension in ours but we managed. Stop at the bakery and the BM supermarket in PJ for food and stock up. There is no reason to return to PJ during your stay at Andy’s if you have enough food/drinks. Bring coconut oil for your legs to prevent sand fleas (this applies to all Costa Rica) deet also works but natural is better. I would call the experience *top notch glamping* you’re really outdoors and one with nature the whole time. Unbelievable surroundings with a bed and pillows, hot running water and a working range. Perfect for my family who’s used to campervan camping. Backwash bay was perfect for swimming. Andy’s place was perfect for watching surfers, sunrises and sunsets. Keep an eye out for bioluminescence after sunset!! & THE SWING AH!

We loved our time here!!! Perfect location… just a short walk to the most beautiful beach you’ll ever step foot on. This cozy home is in the heart of the jungle, so every morning and evening we had a front row view of the monkeys passing by and the scarlet macaws flying over. Every property in the Osa is off-grid so be prepared for the rustic charm, but this home had great WiFi and all the amenities to keep you comfortable. We will be back for sure!!!

lugar muy lind frente de la playa. tiene todo lo básico que necesitas.

Our group of four spent two nights/three days at Casa Topo. It was an excellent, affordable hub for our travels to Corcovado Park, Puerto Jimenez, and Playa Blanca. Casa Topo is clean, has your basic amenities for simple meals, and is located three minutes from a grocery market. Note that the location is in La Palma which is about 20 minutes from Puerto Jimenez. If you are looking for a hub (with an air conditioner!) for day trips all over the region we would recommend. Thanks Roberto and Dani! Also, be sure to stop by the Soda four minutes down the road (en route to Playa Blanca) to have fresh juice and a good meal. Leila, the owner, is a delight.

The biodiversity on Peninsula Osa exceeded all our expectations, we saw countless species of animals, many right on the property (various birds, three types of monkeys, from the beach dolphins and sea turtles). The hosts and especially Anthony were super friendly and helpful, for example they were able to organize a private boat tour for us spontaneously. The house and great property exceeded all expectations. We would love to come back.

La casa es muy práctica y cómoda. El único inconveniente es que al tener ventanas altas abiertas entraron animales (mientras estábamos en la playa) , mapaches o monos y se comieron todos los huevos y la fruta que estaban fuera de la despensa. Esto es algo que ya Michelle me había prevenido así que fue error nuestro no guardar todo en la refri o despensa. Para próximos viajeros cuiden mucho este aspecto ya que no hay un supermercado cerca.

This was our second stay with Nannette. The first time we stayed in the bungalow and this time we stayed in the villa. Both are wonderful!! We really loved the extra space inside and outside at the villa, and the pool was a welcome addition. There are so many great touches to discover here... the outdoor shower, an amazing indoor shower, several seating areas to linger and enjoy the property, beautiful artwork, a fully equipped kitchen, I could go on and on. The grounds are maintained beautifully and wild life is visible daily without having to go anywhere. Nannette and her team are great hosts, always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We are already plotting our return. We have traveled all over Costa Rica and have found we prefer the laid back and uncrowded vibe of the Osa. Thank you Nannette for sharing your paradise with us!!
