We loved the place so much that we decided to come back after a few days in El Nido. Janis was one of the best hosts @AirBNB, proactive, responsive, easy to communicate with lots of helpful information. The caretakers (Chris & Gene) were always there to help and assist us. The place is so so beautiful! Thank you again for making our vacation unforgettable!

Die Unterkunft hält, was die Bilder versprechen (, wenn man sich den Filter wegdenkt 😉). Am Flughafen haben wir uns ein Taxi genommen. Die Unterkunft zu finden war etwas schwer. Nach ein paar Minuten suchen, kam Dave raus und hat uns empfangen. Er war stets super freundlich und hilfsbereit den gesamten Aufenthalt. Wir haben über sie eine Glühwürmchen-Tour gebucht. Diese können wir sehr empfehlen. Die Organisatoren achten sehr auf die Glühwürmchen und deren Lebensumgebung. Grundsätzlich bietet die Gegend in direkter Nähe der Unterkunft wenig Möglichkeiten Essen zu gehen. Man befindet sich hier mitten im Leben der Einheimischen. Mit einem Roller ist man aber auch schnell in der Stadt, die allerhand zu bieten hat. Die Nachbarschaft ist recht laut: viele Hähne, spielende Kinder und Karaoke. Wer sowas nicht mag, sollte grundsätzlich aber eher ein Resort auf den Philippinen buchen. Für alle, die weg von Tourismus und einheimisches Leben erleben wollen, ist es eine absolute Empfehlung.

Joy's place is a super quiet and comfortable space, I loved the morning pancakes included in the fixed price, Joy and their staff are so kind and will recommend you a tours around Puerto Princesa, that's a good service if you have no plans yet when arrive.

We stayed 3 days It felt like home really good place to relax the staff and owner a really friendly. And welcoming. We were afraid that it is too hot in the tent but with fan it was no problem and you have an nice cooling breeze from the sea

My friend and i we had a great stay before going to Port Barton. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The airport pickup service was a big plus, making our arrival smooth and stress-free. The location is absolutely stunning, right by the beach, offering amazing views and a relaxing atmosphere. Overall, a great place to stay with excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

We made a last-minute booking after our original accommodation was canceled, and Joy truly saved the day! She graciously allowed us to stay, and their place instantly felt like home. The entire experience was wonderful, from the warm welcome by Joy and Ahren upon arrival to the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. We spent the morning strolling along the beach, picking up shells, and enjoying the breathtaking sunrise. It was the perfect start to our day. This place makes you feel like you’re in paradise after the crowded areas of the island! We initially planned to stay here for five days before heading to El Nido, but then we changed our plans and decided to stay for three more days. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and functional. Since the place is literally on the sea, all rooms have breathtaking views 🌊 Since there’s no nearby facilities, the beach is exclusively for guests. Watching the sunrise over the sea early in the morning and seeing the colorful clouds at sunset was an incredible experience. Despite the beauty of the place, it would be unfair not to mention the caretakers, Gene and Chris. As stated in previous reviews, they elevate this place to the highest level with their hospitality, helpfulness, and kindness! The host Janis was also extremely supportive from start to finish, helping us arrange transportation from Puerto Princesa, being flexible with check-in and check-out, and accommodating our program changes, m

Everything was better than we expected. Marj answered all our questions with such detailed accuracy. We thought that the location would become a setback; however, we were pleasantly surprised that the location was everything we hoped for that much needed relaxation and privacy. We loved everything about Astoria; especially the food! You may also test your cooking skills since there's a mini kitchenette in all rooms. We will definitely come back!

MUST STAY! This resort is perfect for all ages. The staff service is legendary and the property is beyond gorgeous.

We had an amazing time at Soulcamp in Palawan. The perfect place to have a time out in nature, sourrounded by the sea, a lot of chicken, the family dogs. Eli and Pascale were outstanding hosts which only tried to make our stay as accomodating, beautiful and relaxing as possible. In the little Soulcamp restaurant is possible to have all 3 meals a day, all freshly cooked, mostly vegetarian and homemade and with a lot of love! They organized our pickup in puerto princessa and within the whole journey communication was great. It‘s a great place for all nature lover, animal friendly people. We would love to be back any time!

We had the best time during this stay! The hosts, Eli and Pascal, as well as their entire team were so kind welcoming and fun. The other guests made the stay as well. While our unit was private, quaint and cute, we still joined everyone else for meals and a boat excursion during our stay. The property is beautiful and well kept. It is quite removed and no service, but we loved that and there are outlets and wifi available in the common area if needed. Eli helped arrange our transportation to and from the airport, and the taxi was able to make a couple stops on the way. We enjoyed the wildlife, walking the beach, the food, company, the hosts and overall would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a more removed and peaceful experience.

Ein absolutes Highlight auf Palawan! Die Unterkunft ist wirklich etwas Besonderes – direkt am Strand, ab vom Tourismus, was den Aufenthalt noch einzigartiger macht. Die Hosts, Eli und Pasci, sind unglaublich herzlich und hier werden jeden Abend philippinische Spezialitäten gekocht - das Essen war wirklich fantastisch & abends sitzen alle gemeinsam beim Essen zusammen. Die familiäre Atmosphäre sorgt dafür, dass man sich sofort wie zu Hause fühlt. Ein wahres Must-Do, wenn man auf Palawan ist! Die Umgebung ist einfach traumhaft und in unmittelbarer Nähe kann man in einem Wasserfall baden und hat Strände ganz für sich. Unbedingt hin!
