I had a great experience at Stay Shandaar. If you're in good shape, it's only a 20 minute walk or so to the Golden Temple and Partition Museum. It's also very close to Baba Deep Singh Ji Gurdwara, a beautiful place to spend some time. The nearby vendors in Chatiwind Gate sell delicious street food. If you let the staff of know, they will also prepare a delicious Punjabi style breakfast for you or have your clothing washed at a reasonable price. The room itself was spotless clean and all amenities worked well. The staff were kind and gracious throughout my stay, with impeccable English (much better than my Punjabi). Note: I was a little worried about the potential for street traffic noise, but this was absolutely not an issue. Every once in a while you might hear a faint truck horn, but it's barely noticeable and did not interrupt my sleep.

Wir hatten wunderschöne letzte Tage in Dharamkot 🤗 Alle waren sehr freundlich und es gab auch einen Abend mit Lagerfeuer! Die Unterkunft war eine der saubersten auf unserer ganzen Reise und wir hatten alles was wir brauchten. Wir waren in der Winterzeit hier, jetzt war teilweise nicht so viel los, aber trotzdem gab es viel zu sehen gleich in der Nähe und leckere Restaurants. Leider hatte das hauseigene Cafe aufgrunddessen geschlossen, aber anscheinend gibt es dort „organic indian food“ - klang sehr lecker! Danke für alles :)

The highlight of the stay is the owner, Gurmeher, whose warmth and local expertise make the experience truly special. He shared insightful tips about visiting the Golden Temple, recommended amazing local food, and even arranged a late-night meal for me. Conveniently located near the Golden Temple and other attractions, De Manora offers a personalized, welcoming stay. It feels more like visiting a friend than a commercial property. Highly recommended!

I spent here 18 days full of bliss. The room was huge with astonishing views to the mountains; the bed and pillows super comfy and the location perfect for me (out of the hustle of Dharamshala and close to the Norbulinka Institute and nunneries and monasteries). The food was A-MA-ZING (Japanese, Tibetan and Indian) and super affordable. And the best of my stay was to feel the warmth of Takae and Richen, the owners. Their presence got deeply into my heart and made me feel that I was not in a hotel, but at home. Arigato & Tuk Je Che!

A treasure of a hotel.. walk back in time with Deco elegance, marble and reed glass.. the rooms are huge and it’s quiet at night despite a city location. Sachin, his wife and the staff are so welcoming, enthusiatic and helpful and made us feel at home.. The location is a short tuk tuk ride to station and the golden temple and also lovely tea stalls and local restaurants a stones throw from the hotel.. www would rec this as a place to stay in Amritsar with a personal Touch

Nice apartment in a calm area 10 minutes by car from city centre. Not everything in best condition anymore but very helpful staff that always responded to my needs immediately. Also easy communication with very friendly host. Good value for money overall.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Anchal’s Dhandadar Villages Homestay. The hospitality was warm, and the peaceful village surroundings made for a relaxing stay. There are a couple of minor improvements that could make the experience even better. The room wasn’t cleaned the next day as the helper didn’t have time, so we recommend assigning a dedicated staff member to ensure daily housekeeping. Additionally, the map location on Airbnb needs to be properly set up, as it was a bit challenging to find the property. Overall, a fantastic stay with just a few small areas for improvement!

Raman's place is at a very convenient location. Golden Temple, Partition museum, Jallianwala Bagh etc are at walkable distance. There are lot of restaurants and eateries as well nearby. The rooms were clean, staffs are really cooperative and they allow flexible check-in as well. Overall we felt very comfortable at Raman's place. Definitely a recommended stay for groups as well as family.

Our 9 day stay at Peakhavn turned out to be one of the most delightful holidays we have taken in India. Let me share some of the reasons for the same. Starting with the location, the Dhauladhar range towering high above our balcony to the serene plains lined with rice fields down a winding path from the hotel...to the Dorzong monastery nearby which blew our mind... ....to the warm hospitality of an inviting and friendly crew that took care of our every lil need, making us feel at home... ...to the yummy breakfasts and dinners at the hands of the chef that prepped us at the start of every morning and tucked us away happily at the end of the night... ... to the massive library of books, activities and board games that made it so easy to just lounge the day away occasionally... ... to the overall aesthetics of our room and our experience at the hotel that reassured us of our choice once we checked in. ... to the two playful doggies, Rani and Brownie, who became good friends before it was time to leave. Each had a small role in making our trip to Peakhavn in Gopalpur one to remember. And for that, once again, I would like to say Thank You!

Excellent experience. 100% recommended. The views of Dhauladhar ranges are to die for. Swetank was a super amazing host. Food was super delicious. Chef Siddharth & Staff member Shubham were very warm & welcoming. All the best to take your venture ahead. P.S:- Loved the 'Jeeravan' touch in the Poha served for breakfast :-))
